Kai took a step back and laughed nervously. "Uh, I had to really think about what I was going to say." he replied nodding his head quickly. 'She's on to me.' he thought nervously.

Sapphire got up and looked at him, tilting her head slightly. "Are you ok....?" A slight shiver ran down her spine and she looked to the sky. The sun was slowly dropping out of the sky. She instinctively moved closer to Kai for warmth.

Kai tenced up a little as he saw her move closer to him. "Oh, I doing just fine...." he replied. He looked up at the sky to see that it was getting quite dark. "Maybe I should walk you home now......" he suggested as he knew that other animals liked to come out at night.

Sapphire turned to look at Kai and smiled. "Maybe.... I was having such a good day too! Shame it should end at all..." She giggled a little.

"Yeah, but everything has an ending sooner or later..." Kai replied with a sigh. He stood up to get ready to take her home. 'I hadn't even realized that time had passed so quickly.' he thought as he looked at the setting sun.

Sapphire frowned a little as she raised her head skywards also. "Me neither.... the sunset is beautiful though, isn't it?" She turned to him, her eyes glowing with the reds and oranges of the sky. She couldn't help but notice how Kai's fur seemed to almost glowing this light...

"Yes it is..." Kai replied with awe. He turned to look at Sapphire with a grin on his face. The first thing he saw was the glowing in her eyes. 'How pretty...' he thought. "Are you ready to go?" he asked as he was oblivious to her staring at him.

Sapphire shook her head a little to break her stare and then smiled and nodded, a light blush on her cheeks. "I'm ready, Kai..." She almost whispered as she stood up.

"Alright." Kai replied. "Do you want to lead me to your place and you give me directions as we go or would you rather lead?" he asked. He was calcualtioning out the best way to go in his head as far as protecting her wise.

Sapphire smiled slightly. "You lead... I'll feel safer that way... we'll just head back to where we met..."

"Alright" Kai replied. He began to walk back the way they had came. He looked over his shoulder to make sure that Sapphire was following.

Sapphire trotted to Kai's side and kept close, shivers still running through her body a breeze picked up. She was glad she had met Kai by chance the way she did...

Kai surved the area as they kept walking to their destination. 'I always seem to be guiding people around.' he thought with a sigh. Everything seem to be fine so far so he didn't really worry about their postion.

Sapphire looked at him. "I'm sorry, I must seem so hopeless.... you even had to save me from a ditch!" She chuckled a little, although embarassed. "I... I really appreciate it though, Kai.... thank you..."

Kai looked back her with a questioning look. "There is nothing wrong with getting help from others once and while." Kai replied. "Oh, no problem. Anytime, Sapphire." he replied as he tilted his to the side with a grin.
