Goodness, this place was a mess!
Asrafel had been caught up at the Center for days, picking up the pieces that everyone left behind. The Center hadn't been taken care of for quite some time, and when he had returned from spending time with his family, he had found it quite abandoned, and quite disheveled.
Seeing this as a wonderful way to keep his mind off of his troubles, he set to work.
First came the furniture, which had to be moved in order to fully sweep the rug. Then set back in place, he furnished the rooms once more, and dusted all about. It was a task worthy of days, and he stayed at the Center all those days alone to do it.
Most days he would put music on to quell the uncomfortable silence. He wondered how many of his kin and their new families had come to visit and found the Center empty. He had known that Stae and Alania had planned some time away, but it seemed that the three of them had never kept in contact with one another long enough to make sure they didn't leave at the same time.
And, of course, they had.
Asrafel buzzed about, cleaning empty pots with dead flowers and filling them anew with fresh, blooming bouquets.
He took a sharp intake of breath and smiled. There.. the place looked brighter already!

She'd checked every day for ages and ages. Every day the place was locked and empty though! Where had he been?!
Frankly, Shauna was about ready to just go the Love Household! It'd be great to see Vidya and Asra together anyway! But today she'd check the center one more time before going to their house. Shauna hummed merrily and skipped down the street with another big basket of cookies and brownies like the one she'd had when she met Brownie and Miss Smerdle!
She flicked a bit of hair out of her face as she stopped skipping and began walking up the path to the door. Hey! Things looked different in there! A bright smile formed on her lips, trying the door to see if it opened. If it did she'd just walk in and call out for Asra, if not then she'd knock.

Why the hell not? She had told herself as she stubbornly forced her feet in the direction of the Center. Being crammed up inside a home located in the middle of nowhere had suited her just fine since she wasn't a child that became easily bored and susceptible to cabin fever; she had never been an excitable child anyway, not like her brothers and sisters. And she HAD had her fair share of outings since Blondie had taken it upon herself to force Diego on her.
And SINCE she was in the area - because he had a show - she GUESSED she could go take a peek to see if anyone was around.
NOT that she was expecting anyone, of course. It wasn't as if she missed her best friend and that bright smile of his, nor did she miss the colorful aura that positively GUSHED from his being, that wasn't it at ALL.
Honest.
As she neared the center, her footing hesitated...and she stopped. Grasping the cord of her walkman, she tugged the plugs from her ears, face contemplative.
This was stupid. As if he would be ther--
Oh? And who was this?
Curiosity getting the better of her, she drifted closer with all the silence of a sure-footed cat, eyeing the other young girl that stood there.
"Door unlocked?" she asked suddenly, tone flat.

" Maybe today there are others, churr." Psy said hopefully as he lead his mother down the street towards the Benedict center. He'd been longing to meet others of his own kind for ages but there had never been any luck. His outlook had changed since the first time though, he was no longer searching for kin so he could ask how to go back to the peace he'd had before life. Now he just desired to see them, to find out who it was that shared some sort of connection to him.
Talon followed her son with an amused smile on her face, it was good to see that Psy had not become dejected when over time attempts to seek out others had failed. As they approached the building she could make out two unknown figures standing before the door, well it appeared that today's hunt would be a success. Before Talon could call out a greeting Psy was off like a shot and attempting to get his own hello in.
"Hello, did you come from the glass too, churr? " He inquired stepping as close to the much older children as he dared.

It was amazing how people could ignore things. For example, Seraphim had walked by this very spot several times without noticing the Benedict Center. She eyed the building, Papree on her shoulders, gripping the baos on her head.
"Was this always here?" Seraphim asked aloud. As usual, there was no answer from the Shattered girl. Giving a slight shrug as so to not displace the passenger perched upon her shoulders, she swung the door open. Hey, there were people inside, and this looked like a daycare center.
"Hey guys, what's going on?"

Lucky for Shauna the door was unlocked! The fox giggled softly and stepped in, keeping the door open with her arm and looking around. "Asra? You in here?" She called, her ears perked and waiting for an answer. It was an unfamiliar voice that she heard next, turning around to look back at the blonde. Hey! It was that girl from the Halloween party that'd dressed as Alice! What was her name? Jose...? Yosie? Joce! Her smile brightened as she nodded and stepped to the side to open the door a little more and let Joce through. "Uh huh! Not sure if it was Asra, Miss Orestae or Miss Alania though..."
The fox peeked into the basket she was carrying, really wishing she hadn't promised she wouldn't eat any until she'd shared them first. Shauna looked back into the center for a moment until a younger male voice caught her attention. Glass? She looked confused for a moment while she tried to think of an answer to the boy's question. Did she? "Um...I think...maybe..." Shauna reached into the basket and crouched down to be level with the boy, offering him a cookie and ushering him and the woman he was with inside. She then followed them in...only to turn around again when someone else opened the door. What a short attention span.
"Hi! Aww, what a little cutie you have there!" Shauna giggled.

After having staffed all of the other rooms with an ever vigilant array of blooms, Asrafel fluttered out of the back- only to stop in mid-flutter. Were those.. voices he heard?
Perhaps he was going a bit nutty. Then again, it wouldn't be the first time he heard voices in his head. Granted, the others were for good reason, but still..
And yes, as he pondered all this, he stood in the hallway with a pondering face of ponderment, before finally realizing that the only way to find out would be to see for himself. So he ceased his senseless pondering and fluttered hurriedly to the front, visibly shocked to see not one, but several people inhabiting the Center all of a sudden.
"Wh-why hello everyone! I didn't expect, ah, I mean I couldn't hope, umm.. it's so good to see you all!"
Faces he knew and loved, as well as those he had only briefly met; he felt warmth flood him as he realized today would certainly be a wonderful day.

Her lips became a taut slash across her face as Shauna finally took notice of her, and brushed passed her into the center when she offered enough room for her to do so. Goodness, she hadn't been here in ages! Since...Halloween, was it? Possibly longer - she hadn't been in tune with the world for quite a while now and it made her feel somewhat irritable.
She'd yet to place her finger on the reason, however.
Green eyes swept over her shoulder with a toss of blonde hair, giving the other girl a noncommittal glance, "Maybe it's a robber. Place is way too clean to be anything otherwi --"
She stopped short when Psy ran in, face twisting into an awkwardly sour expression. Not because of the small child, but because of foxgirl's REACTION to him - saccharine and just...ew. Talk about too much, eh?
"I came from my house." Glass? What...? She was beginning to question her decision on even coming when yet another popped up, this one with a toddler perched upon her shoulders. She had just gotten here, she had no idea what was going on, so didn't bother elaborating, but gave a shrug. The perky foxgirl would no doubt be more than happy to tell her.
Eyeing the room, she wandered a little farther in, pressing her earphones back in and toggling with the sound. What had she expected when she had come in? People she knew? She squashed the little hope she had and swung her satchel over her shoulder deciding that it would be best to leave; there was nothing here to greet her so what was the point in staying?
"Excuse me." She pushed passed the other's and reached the outdoors when she his voice greeted her ears, and she stopped to balance precariously on the balls of her feet.
No way...
Just keep walking. Keep on walking.
Instead, she looked over her shoulder.

Cookie cookie cookie , a stranger had given Psy a cookie and despite warnings he'd had before he'd had no intentions of not eating it. It would be wrong not to accept a gift and just in case his mother had a different opinion he quickly began eating it. " Thank you, churr " He said around bites. Whoever this strange furred girl was made good cookies.
Psy wondered who the young woman who'd come from her house and not from the glass was, before he had a chance to ask however his attention was torn between the two newcomers. Dark blue eyes flicked between the two, young and old , miserable and joyous, how amusing it was to see such opposites.
Talon stayed silent but shadowed Psy and bowed her head in thanks to the fox girl who'd let them inside. It looked like things were about to turn out rather nicely and she'd be able to stay off to the side and watch Psy interact without having to interefere.

"That's silly! Robber's don't clean places they make them messy!" Shauna chirped, looking around and putting her basket down on a chair. Her tail had twitched quite violently when she talked about the imaginary robber.
Now to find Asra! Where would she look first though? She didn't know her way around the entire Center! Luckily she didn't have to look very far to find Asra, all she did was turn around and there he was! "Asra~!" She squealed, running over to give him a big hug. Yaaay! She'd found him! ...Okay, she really hadn't but let her pretend she had.

Asrafel caught Shauna in one arm as she ran to hug him, lifting her up off the air for a proper hug. For someone who looked so frail and lightweight, he picked her up like a feather.
"Shauna, it's been so long! You look lovely, is that a new hairstyle?" He set her down gently, and toyed with a strand, testing it as if he could attempt to figure out the answer by the feel of the strand.
As suddenly as his ADD could kick in, he looked down at the inquisitive child with a mouth full of cookie. But where was his cookie! There must be one for him, he hoped. "A lovely day for a visit and a cookie, isn't it?" He purred at the little one, winking mischievously.
Before he could wait for a response, he was gone in a flash, twirling in the air around Joce, his wings trembling with excitement.
"And who do we have here.. who looks as though she wishes to leave without so much as saying hello! It can't be Jocie-Posie, she'd never leave without giving me so much as a hug.. so whooooo could it be?"
He looked up at Shauna, as if to ask the girl who this blonde youth was. Unfortunately for Asra, he had a horrible poker face, and could never really lie.

Seraphim blinked at Shauna, somewhat taken off-beat by her perkiness. She opened her mouth, but was too slow to answer. Shrugging, she craned her neck to look at Papree.
"You are not a cutie," Seraphim stated, staring at the Shattered straight in the eye. "You are a destroyer of worlds." Papree merely stared back, unfazed. "Bomb," she replied. Seraphim paused, then nodded carefully as to not dislodge Papree.
"Fine then, you are a destroyer of worlds and a time bomb," she said, making explosion effects with her hands. "Boom." And then she heard the voice...
Snapping her head in the voice's direction, forgetting about Papree for a moment (who had wisely decided to hold tightly Seraphim's hair in her fists), she spotted Asrafel aka naked fairy boy who gave her Papree and had not explained anything at all. She headed over to the small group - he was apparently popular with the ladies, it seemed - waving her hand.
"Hey! Naked fairy boy! Is this your kid?" Seraphim called out, picking up Papree from her shoulders and held her over Seraphim's head.

Had it been anyone otherwise, Jocelyn would have reeled back at being approached by what looked to be a mass of assorted ribbons, but well...Asra was the ONLY mass of assorted ribbons she knew, and she had become quite used to him and his actions. Slightly. Sort of. At least. Or so she told herself after she had visibly jumped.
Maybe it was seeing him after so long - her memory was still steeped in his childhood appearance, though she knew he was anything but.
For once nothing sharp or witty left her mouth, nor anything scathing as she was used to. Instead, she ducked her head with a mixture of embarrassment and shame, cheeks pinking. Scuffing her boots on the ground and plucking at a loose thread on her striped glove, she took a peek at Asrafel through her lashes, mouth puckered.
"I wus'n gonna leave..." she grumbled lamely, scowling as much as she could which was difficult when your lips wanted to smile. This felt too weird for her – too many people, too alien, too much. All of it. And instead of hugging Asrafel – an action of which was typically…simply not done by her – she hugged herself.

Asrafel could tell that she was fighting away a smile. It was enough of a response for him. He gave away his little game and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her so tightly into a hug that she was off her feet in a moment. Oh, how he'd missed her most of all! He carried her easily back inside, still hugging her. In fact, he refused to let go, even as he landed near Shauna.
His head tilted up when he heard Seraphim's question, and laughed wholeheartedly. "No, I'm afraid not! In fact, I'm pretty sure she's yours! But you've come to the right place for answers!"
He said this while still hugging Joce. In fact, it seemed he was stuck to her in affection.
