Peter finally found his way over to the drinks area, found a cup, and started drinking. He refilled it, drank again. He definitely hadn't had anything in his stomach for a while, so he, remembering his first aid training needed liquid to start the metabolism up again. A litre and some ought to do it for now. He kept drinking, having his back turned on the group, able to hear raised voices.

Jasmine shook her head at Alan's words, knowing that the question was powered by a common misconception. After the donkey had slid away to the food, she was faced with Ryan's question. She then started to write again. "They do?" She wrote down, suprised that they would spend money on top of what they spent on the serum. "No, not randomly, just when I go under stress. But it's better than when I first came here..."

At the salad bar, Alan was piling high his plate with lettuce, greens, celery, carrots, and nothing else. Back in the states, he usually added croutons or bacon bits or even some sort of dressing. Now, however, it was plain; this was yet another of the small changes that Moreau had inflicted upon him.
He turned back to get a glance at the group he had just left. They were talking...probably about him. Alan felt his blood pressure once again rising and sat at a table on the other side of the cafeteria, keeping the group within his view.

"Mmhmm, they must be. Otherwise, without the nutirents they're adding, your feathers would be white."
Upon reading the second thing she wrote, Ryan made a sarcastic remark, quiet enough that Alan couldn't hear. "I can't imagine what would stress you out like that right now." He rolled his eyes.
He turned towards the new guy, who was drinking water like he was becoming a camel. "Hey uhh," He snapped his fingers, trying to remember the guys name. "Peter. You doing alright?"

"Mmmhmm!" Peter gargled, downing another glass of what tasted like peach juice. This was his fifth cup, one or two more should make him good to go. Some people were driven to drinking alcohol in these types of circumstances, but Peter was just... drinking.

The creepiness of the situation was slowly edging into Nicky's mind...what with the donkeyman piling his plate with greens or the flamingo talking shop with the human...it was just...weird.
With a sigh, Nicky calmly wipes his mouth with a napkin before standing up and heading for the doors.

Jasmine looked at the man, her eyebrows raised at the comment. "Wow..." She wrote, being reminded of a visit to a zoo in which she saw only pink flamingos. "...I didn't know that..." When Ryan had said the remark about her stress, she giggled. Looking at Peter, she saw the man with his cheeks bulging of the water. At that, she made an "Uhh..." Sound.

Ryan finished eating his sandwich, and stood up form the table. "Well, it was nice meeting all of you, but I've got to be going." He nodded to the newcomers. "Try not to let it get to you too much."
He waved goodbye to the assembled party, and walked out into the heat.
