I'm a Sonic the Hedgehog aficionado! biggrin

There are many versions. The version I prefer is that Sonic was running around one day in his youth, when Tails dropped out of a tree and landed in his arms. Tails was confused, because he could fly, and questioned Sonic if he was a bird or a bug, Sonic said no he was a fox and decided to run off. He did so, but Tails just flew after him, and Sonic was impressed that the two-tailed wonder could keep up with him, and in fact, like a puppy, wouldn't leave him alone. So they became pals.
