((No she doesn't; which is why she's confused about Albedo's behavior. She knows something must have happened to him, but she doesn't know what.))
Oh-! I'm... I'm sorry, something horrible happened, didn't it? Alka saya quietly. She stands up and embraces her brother, falling to her knees in what looks to be a kind of painful fall. She rests her head against his chest, listening to the distinct twin beat of two hearts. Am I... a part of you...? Or am I just a redundancy? She sighs, holding her brother close. Pressed so close to him, she feels paper thin. Her arms, once thick with strength, have wilted. I...

Jr. got up the courage to talk about what happened as he held his sister. Jr. didn't want to tell her, but he knew that he had to. He tried to explain it as best as he could muster. "It was... my fault..." Jr. began, "We were sent to Miltia because of U-DO. We tried to stop U-DO by forming the link, but..." He stopped for a moment and looked away from Alka and let go of her. "I got scared. I... broke the link. Because of my weakness, Albedo..." Jr. confessed. He wondered if Alka could forgive him for what he had done.

I would have been scared too, Ruby... Please don't blame yourself. We were only children... I... I don't wanna be a weapon... I just wanna... be happy. Aren't we allowed to be happy? She sounds so small and uncertain. She gets up and walks over to the bed, laying down, grey eyes staring out but not really seeing anything. Daddy was wrong... about everything, wasn't he? She idly sucks on the knuckle of her pointer finger, a nervous habit she's had since youth.

Jr. was relieved to hear that she wasn't angry at him, but he still felt guilty. He thought about her words and then responded. "Yeah... he lied to all of us. About everything." He thought more about what she had said. "All she wants is true happiness? Can weapons like us ever have that?" he wondered.

Why did he lie to us? Does that mean U-DO wasn't some sort of U.M.N. AI? Then... what is it? Could we really even harm it? She sits up as chaos enters.
"Hello. Here's your dinner, and a warm blanket. I brought an extra pillow too." Alka simles in suprised gratitude. "Hammer told me you were a mute. That's unfortunate, I would love to hear your voice; it must be beautiful." At this Alka looks embarrassed.

Alka starts in on her dinner. She's eating it rather quickly, scraping every morsel off the plate. chaos is looking at Jr. and doesn't notice her famished eating.

chaos pauses, pondering what that entails. "I guess I should leave you alone, then." Noticing that Alka has finished, chaos quietly picks the tray up, and places the blanket over the almost-sleeping girl. He takes the tray and leaves the room.
(I call Gaignun!! *glomps 669*))
The video monitor beeps to alert Jr. of an incoming call. It's his brother Gaignun.

"Hello Jr. Matthews says you had an encounter with Albedo. What happened this time?" Gaignun seems only slightly worried; he was confident that his older brothe rcould handle things. He also seeems weary from the rigors of running the Kukai Foundation. In the background, Mary waves. "Little Master, I hope you're taking care of yourself."

"I'm still not sure what his motive was, but Albedo kidnapped Alka. We managed to save her, but she was badly injured and it seems she doesn't have any memory of anything that's happened since before the Miltian Conflict."

To a person who didn't know him well, Gaignun seems to take the news calmly. But subtle signs reveal that he is upset. "Albedo hurt her? Are you sure?" He didn't think Albedo would sink that low. "Where is she now, she is all right isn't she?"

"She's fine now. We're treating her on the Elsa." Jr. said. He could see that Gaignun was just as upset as he was about what Albedo had done to her. "At first I couldn't believe Albedo would do something like that to her, but I saw it with my own eyes."

"He.... he abused her in front of you?" Gaignun says, shocked but being quiet about it. It's called a poker face, and Gaignun's good about it. "What would... possess him to abuse his own sibling? Yes he attacked you, but he wanted you to fight back... was he doing the same with Alka?" Gaignun asks, gently rubbing his temple.
