Shedoe simply sniffled, seeming to choke on something. He seemed confused, likely torn between frustration and sadness, and maybe something else; a desire. A desire to run to this wolf's arms like all the others before him. And that brought on fear. History was repeating again.
He choked back something before taking a deep breath, and standing up once more.
"One chance.... One deal." He said softer. "Keep up... and catch sighed softly. "You don't have to take my deal.. but if you don't. I'll dissapear from your life forever. But you keep your life."

Crimson let out a sigh of relief. At least Shedoe was calmer now. "You propose a deal, and I accept. I will do anything it takes to prove to you that you can and will have a better life. I want so much to be with you, that I will walk through fire to do so. I would give my life to save your's. I will take whatever life dishes out, and all for the sake of you to say you love me as much as I love you." Crimson wanted to reach out and hug Shedoe right then and there, but he figured it would be best to wait for him to make the first move. He sat back down, not even realizing that he had stood up at one point, and continued to stare lovingly into Shedoe's eyes.

Shedoe looked at him in slight disbelief, before sighing, pulling his eyes away from his. "F-fine..." He replied quietly, sounding slightly nervous. He was scared that the other wouldn't be able to do it.
"Then... don't fail." Please don't fail. He added, in his head, before he was off in a shot, leaping onto a table and over the fence, sparing no time and sprinting across town, not even sure of how far behind Crimson was.

Crimson in mid run attempted to tap Shedoe on the shoulder to let him know that he was very near. Despite his running short of breath, he was keeping up quite well. He chuckled a bit to see that love was this hard to get, but he was up for the challenge. He was not going to give up ever. He knew that if he just put a little more speed into his run he may just be able to pass him, but he found that at least he was able to keep up. The wind whipped his fur into a bundle, but yet he pressed on. He saw Shedoe's feet in front of him as Shedoe seemed to speed up just a little, furthering the gap in between them. Crimson caught a second wind and attempted once again to catch up. He breathed heavy and had no idea when this would end, but he hoped it would be soon.

Shedoe did in fact speed up, before turning a sharp corner, turning onto a road that went over a rather deep river. It didn't take him much time to leap up onto the small brick wall that lined the bridge, and dive off to the water.
The way he jumped made him spin round, to see how close the other was, and probably made him easier to catch if someone jumped after him and grabbed him. Inevitably they'd both end up in the river, but that wasn't the point. They'd likely be pushed to the banks rather quickly.

Crimson saw Shedoe jump over the bridge and without hisitation jumped right after him. In mid-air he attempted to grab a hold of Shedoe but missed. He silently cursed himself as he plunged head first into the icy water below. He shivered as his head broke the top of the waves and quickly looked around to try and see where Shedoe would have splashed down. He began to worry if the one he loved so dear was ok or if he had been hurt. Frantically he darted back and forth in the water trying to get to Shedoe wherever he may be. " I can't believee I missed him. I probably failed his deal now. Will he stay with me or won't he I wonder." Crimson thought to himself.

Shedoe eventually re-surfaced with a gasp a little way aways from Crimson, before taking ahold of the bridge wall and pulling himself onto the muddy bank, coughing up some murky water then collapsing onto his back. He said nothing to Crimson, maybe through exhaustion or dissapointment, one couldn't be sure. It may even have been a combonation of both.

Crimson finally saw Shedoe getting out of the river and quickly swam up to him. He shook the water from his fur and sadly looked to the ground. "Are you alright? You're not hurt are you?" he asked while keeping his eyes to the ground. He kicked the dirt in anger toward himself. "I can understand if you don't want to be with me. I wouldn't want to be with myself right now. I know I messed up, and I deserve whatever you dish out to me." Crimson then looked up and tears fell from his already damp face. He really didn't know what would happen next, but he felt he was prepared for anything.

Shedoe turned his head to look up at the wolf, before he sat up slightly and tugged him down, which wasn't too hard as the mud would be slippy. He moved his hands around the wolf's neck, as if to go to strangle him, but slipped his arms through and collapsed against him. "I don't give a s**t if you messed up. You tried to catch me, that's all I care about.." He said hoarsely, before curling up against the wolf for warmth. "Heh... you ruined your robe already..."

" Oh well, it can be washed. The important thing is that you're alright." Crimson said as he held onto Shedoe tightly. Crimson couldn't believe how things had turned around. All he knew and cared was that he loved Shedoe and was willing to do anything for him. Shedoe pretty much had control over him now. His very life was in his hands, and he knew that he would be well taken care of as would Shedoe in his.

"Fine... i'm.. fine.." He said softly, coughing harshly and sniffling. "I think i'm comming down with a cold, heh..." He gave a weak chuckle, before looking up at Crimson and hitting him lightly on the head. "Geez.. you must be retarded though. You seriosuly thought you could catch me? You could've wound up being slaughtered, by me, no doubt."

"It was worth the effort though," Crimson said with a slight chuckle. " I must admit, you are quite the competition when it comes to a race. So, why don't we go somewhere to dry off? My place or your's?"

"Let's go to yours, my place aint got heating."

"Sure. It may not look like much, but it's home," Crimson aid simply. He led Shedoe down to what appeared to be a very small apartment complex, but when they got there it actually looked richer than any of the others. Sure it was a one bedroom, but the space was so enormous that it could house at least three people. The kitchen sparkled like a facet of a diamond that had never been tarnished. The living room had a couch and a day bed in an "L" shape with two wooden coffee tables on each. In the bedroom, a king size bed took up most of the floor room, but there was still enough space to walk in. "Well, this is my home sweet home. What do you think?" Crimson asked.

"Okay, so aparantly you're rich. He stated, walking in and looking around. "You got a wife or a cleaner or something? You definatly don't seem the type that'd keep everythin s**c and span. What's goin on?" He sat himself down on a couch after pulling off his kimono, just sitting there in his boxers.
