G'dor brought Queth around, holding the harness tightly as the dragon leveled himself out in the air again having come out of yet another dive. He'd not been flying as hard as the smaller dragons- those able to dodge and weave inbetween the larger dragons. It took having watched them to earn the respect for them in his mind. He'd heard the smaller dragons were the more capable, he'd never imagined just how.
They fly well. Queth commented, turning an eye back to his rider. G'dor only nodded in response, wiping at his ash-covered face. It's thinning...
"Indeed." G'dor sighed in releaf, looking around shortly, once more catching sight of R'ael. He winced slightly and turned his attention forward. Queth fell into formation once more with the other senior wyerlings, making another pass. It was thinning, but there were still a few clumps to be flamed.
((So out of it, sorry guys. xd Long week ))

The green swooped low and flamed a lump that seemed to be taking much much longer to fall. T'bell looked around carefully, Liliath was beginning to show signs of tiring, and when he noticed the thread slowing he was greatful it would soon be over. He'd learned, almost as it happened, about K'rels' scoring. Only Liliath's insistance that it was nothing, nothing, and that he was still flying, stopped him from panicing.
Mind you, he suspected they'd both fly even if they were half dead, but the glimpses he could catch of the brownrider assured him that they were at least still alive and completely functional.
He'd attack him after the flight, thats what he'd do.

There seems to be trouble among the riders, mine. Azuleth said before he shot an large blast of flame at a clump of thread.
"Don't worry about them, let them duke it out themselves." K'njin growled, somewhat shaken. He accidently inhaled thread soot and it was making him somewhat sick.

(( Sorry, got afflicted with writer's block, and wasn't sure what to do with Remia and Trith...
Grr... then I forgot to roll. rolleyes ))
Remia, unable to find the Weyrlingmaster, had examined the score again, and once she slathered another layer of numbweed on it, she asked Trith if she thought she could go up again.
I am ready, mine. I will be faster, she said in response, and Remia nodded. She attached firestone bags to the empty spots on the harness, checked the wound one more time, and then climbed up the straps to settle herself on the green's neck.
She worried briefly about her friends, but then turned her mind back to waiting for anyone who needed firestone. She knew everyone was up there, somewhere, though at this distance she couldn't tell quite where. She'd seen Datiath go up and back several times with firestone, and she was glad the bronze wasn't hurt. G'dor and R'ael, though...
They all fly well and strong. I should be flying with them. Trith said, adding the last with a bit of an unhappy note, her eyes whirling orange.
Remia once again apologized. I'm sorry, love. We will do better next time. There will be a next time. And maybe next time... we will fly thread, she added, because she knew Trith was eager to be up there, flaming thread.
What would the Weyrlingmaster and her Wingleader have to say about that, though? They'd managed to get threaded while on firestone duty, nevermind actually fighting the disgusting things. Remia dismissed the thoughts for now. She'd wait to see what happened.

They banked and drew up yet again into their position, L'cian pausing to glance around him. The Thread was slowing and he knew it would only be a little while longer before it faded altogether.
Tallith conveyed him numerous messages, of the ground crews and of the injuries. There were few and that made L'cian happy, it was always horrible when a rider or dragon was hurt so bad that they were forced to be left behind during another battle against the Thread.
He knew how much pain it brought, the burning, but he had never experienced a wound so bad that he was unable to fly.
Tallith. L'cian spoke, leaning forwards to glance across the sky. Somewhere up ahead a flicker of orange flame burst into being from a bronze dragon that had managed to catch it just in time. Can you relay a message to all of the riders in my Wing please. He wanted to congratulate them on a good flight and see if there are any questions. There were also a couple of other things to deal with.
Tell them I wish to meet them tomorrow at noon, at the dining hall, you think?
Atleast then you can eat. The dragon agreed whole-heartedly. Message relayed.

The big brown says we are to meet tomorow. Datiath relayed to N'tren. They had finally been told to stay on ground and clean up since Thread was nearly gone.
N'tren nodded and began to shuck off his riding gear. Soon, he might be allowed to fly in a fighting wing. His naming day was not too far into the future. Surely they would let him fly after that big milestone. Sounds good to me. We eat and collapse then meet with the Wingleader tomorow.

(Yeah I suck...@_@ Got caught up in things.)
Diving, turning, flaming, chewing, dive, turn, flame some more. Rinfala was barely recognizable atop her brown's back except for her long braid, for her face was obscured by goggles and helmet. Not like anyone would be idle enough to recognize faces, anyways. She and Zelith worked together like a matched team, of one mind.
Then Rinfala was harshly reminded that any rider and dragon could fall victim to Fall, as Zelith bellowed in pain and blinked between for just long enough for the Thread to crack and fall, blinking back into their position.
Zelith, where are you hurt? Rinfala asked quickly, worry tinging her mental tone. Are you well enough to fly?
I just tipped it, I'll be fine. A glance from Rinfala showed scoring on the brown's left wingtip. Caught the edge of that clump.
Rinfala sighed in relief as they continued to fight the silvery menace, even as her stomach dropped a little. They could expect a lecture from the Wingleader or Wingsecond later, about cutting it too fine. It was a rookie mistake, one she shouldn't have made.
