Kat dodged the book without much effort, tilting her head to the side to let it pass.
"I'd imagine it hurts quite a bit, Crim." She said casually, her tail swishing back and forth behind the bookshelf. She giggled a little, watching the three below her.
"I'm sorry, Delv, I'll try to restrain myself in the future." She said, smiling. "But considering he invited me to kill him, I think this was fairly lenient."

"Thanks but I'll be..." Crim` grunted a bit more. "Fine." he said in reply to Migy. He turned to Delve. "Pffsh since you saw what happened the last couple times!" he said to Delve, sitting himself up on the desk. He glared back up at Kata, a look of contempt in his eyes.

"Well, as you wish, but why would you invite someone to kill you?" He scratched his head trying to figure it all out. After a few seconds he gave up and grabbed whatever book happened to be close at hand and started flipping through it.

Kat smiled down at Crim, and blew him a kiss. Then she looked over the lifted switchblade. It was a very nice blade, in fact. Definitely worth letting him kiss her for.
And of course, if the knife wasn't worth the kiss, even with his wallet, watching Crim limp in pain definitely was.

"Y'know, I ask my self that same question." he said in reply to Migy, staring up at Kata. His lips curled into an impish smirk. "...but somehow I knew that that one wouldn't have the guts to do it, so that's okay." he said with a widening grin, making sure to speak loud and clearly enough for Kata's ears to pick it up perfectly.

"You know, one of these days Crim she may actualy do it, and then what are you going to say?" Setting the book down he strecthed out a bit yawning. "Well, perhaps I ought to be wandering off. I'm not going to stick around someone who keeps inviting death at the hands of some Kat girl he fancies."

Kat pulled a gun out of her bra and casually pointed it at Crim. She kept inspecting the blade, giving Crim only a casual glance.
"Do you really want to test that theory? I mean, I am on the opposite team and all, killing you probably gets me a promotion or something."
She smiled at Migy quickly, "Nice to meet you Migy, maybe we'll meet sometime less tense."

"Sides? This is such an interesting place. Perhaps we shall. If you wish join though, feel free to jump on my back, it won't bother me at all." He turned his back to Kat and started to walk towards the entry way unsure of where he was headed from here.

Crim` shut up and smiled, reaching behind his belt slowly. "I thought you liked having the FIRE RING!" he screamed, quickly throwing a small throwing knife toward the barrel of Kata's gun then running... Albeit painfully toward a bookcase and taking cover behind it.

Kat's head whipped up as he shouted, but was too slow to react. Ah, the penalties of being cocky. The knife hit the gun squarely, knocking the gun out of her hand and to the floor behind her. The impact sent the knife off course too, landing it just beside the gun.
"I do like my ring!" She shouted back, punching the fist with the ring forward and lighting most of the books on Crim's shelf aflame. The books, being fairly old and dry from Aekea's hot, smog-filled air, quickly crackled to a nice roaring flame as Kat dove behind her own bookshelf to retrieve her gun.

As he heard what was going on he turned around to see the fire shoot out from Kat's hand. Shaking his head he looked around seeing a fire hose at one of the walls further away. Making it to the hose in a short amount of time, he pulled it off the wall and prepared to start putting the fire out.

Crim` tossed a book out of one side of the bookshelf then quickly dashed around the bookshelf's other side as it went up in flames. The purpose of tossing out the book was so that it would serve as a decoy just in case Kata was anxiously awaiting with her gun, which he wasn't sure he had relieved her of.
He ran around the quickly burning shelf, his eyes quickly darting about but catching no glimpse of her. Then, ah-ha, he spied that familiar orange hair dropping behind the case. He raised his right hand, the open hand beginning to glow. "CRIM... HAZZARD!" he screamed as he quickly pressed his now powered-up hand against the bookcase in front of Kata, knocking it back with a violent explosion and toppling in her direction, pages flying around the area.

He turned the water on spraying a strong jet of water at the burning bookcase. As the flames quickly died out a large pool of water had formed in the area. He turned the water off wandering why there hadn't been any kind of fire devices going off. He dropped the hose n the ground and looked about at the mess as the two seemed to continue fighting.

Kelwyn had stepped into the doors of the library and toward the commotion just in time to see Crim's last attack. Stepping toward Migy, who was busy putting out the fire she grinned and said, "I guess this is a bad time to do a little light reading, huh?"

Kat hit the ground in a crouch, just as the explosion burst through th bookshelf above her. The bookshelf slowed it's topple as it hit the shelf behind it, causing a domino effect, but it left Kat with very few options as to where to run. Kat sprinted clear of the falling bookcase, grabbing her gun along the way.
Luckily, the bookshelf wasn't long, since it hadn't knocked over the ones in the same row. As soon as Kat was clear of the falling shelf she turned around and crouched, shooting at what she thought was Crim through the storm of flying pages.
