The local theatre company that does only musicals is the worst thing in the world. The staging of Jesus Christ Superstar was comical. I think I walked out at the intermission.
Worse Off Broadway show: S.O.S. Burt Young's attempt at acting in a one man show he wrote was terrible. Only show I've seen where a theatregoer asked the actor during the show for a refund. Enought said. Luckily, we got our tickets free.
Hated The Scarlet Pimpernel (3rd attempt er version) on Broadway.
A loooooooooong time ago, my mother was in a play Off Off Broadway, The Cat's Pajamas, about a cat in therapy -- I swear to god -- where the guy playing the cat, the writer of course, spat on the audience throughout the play.

the worst i've probably seen was a highschool production of "Chicago". They totally butchered all the characters by being boring and unmotivated. The lawyer character (pardon me, i can't remember names nowadays) was totally badly casted and they turned momma into a lesbian (w/c is highly plausible but not appealing). The worst part about it is that the school is supposed to be a performing arts school. xp . i'm just in an ordinary public school but i could sure as hell act better than that. i was just seething throughout the whole show. I would've left during intermission but my ride seems to like it (all the chorus parts were about girls in their underwear dancing). *sighs* ( you gotta feel sorry for the musical theater-ly ignorant)

The worst show we did at my school was "Stand and Deliver". That was BORING, and the actors were not good. Also, I was on ropes, and I did NOTHING, and set crew didn't have to do ANYTHING. They turned a wall around a few times, and no one in the audience even knew. No one is happy with that show.

the worst performance i have ever seen was a traveling troop performing Camilot, the troop had no energy or enthusiasm at all. the just kinda sulked around the stage and were singing off key and stuff and everything they sang to was taped music there wasn't even a pit band i was so dissapointed that i spent 80 dollars on it.

I was in Charlotte's Web, and I still sometimes have nightmares about it. I digress.
Our Charlotte was a bitchy b***h b***h who everyone hated. As you probably know, Charlotte was supposed to be NICE, but ours was, as I said, a b***h. Gawd, I hated her.
Our Wilbur was...okay. He was sweet and all, but you couldn't understand a word the kid said.
Fern...oh, that poor girl. She was about four feet tall and about twenty-five pounds overweight, and couldn't act for the life of her. Sweet thing, though.
And I have a few things to add to Saturn's Rings Streetcar Named Desire fiasco. Our Matron/Nurse did the most horrible, gravelly voice which did not fit at ALL, and just made her look rather foolish.
Our director (love her to death) was a nutcase. She would make me (played Blanche) do lines that were supposed to be directed at Mitch towards the audience. She completely tore the script apart, getting rid of the very important and symbolic "Paper Moon" song.
Gah...

The 2 worst were all technical problems and not the show or actors fault.
Pittsburgh CLO's Singin' in the Rain. Mic problems! need i say more! the title song sounded more like popcorn in the microwave and my cats playing with wrapping paper!
Also Pgh CLO's production of Gigi one of the set pieces got stuck on one of the flies as they were raising it....loud bang, set falling apart...then an unplanned 15 minute intermission to fix it.
Keep in mind, these are professional shows!

Wow...I guess I took for granted my school's drama department.....My high school(I don't about it anymore seeing as how the drama teacher died) had pretty much the best drama program in Utah(Orem High School)
Ok, my worst performance...Gramercy Ghost, I was Nathaniel Coombes(the ghost) I didn't quite have all my lines memorized...(blegh, that was bad) Some of the other leads also didn't have their lines memorized...and one of the minor roles was sick and no one else could go on for her....(We eveentually worked that out, yay for good memorizors!) Yet, somehow everyone liked it....some said it was the best Junior High performance they'd ever seen...I think they were crazy...

This one schools production of Jospeh and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat made me want to leave more then anything, but we had a friend in it so we stayed. But it was terrible. The singing was ALL off and it was just terrible in general. The worst show I've ever BEEN in was King and I. It wasn't exactly the whole fact that the show itself was boring, but that I was the oldest child by two years, and one of the wives was three months younger then me. And I had a whole emotional battle going on, so my role didn't exactly help me loads.

The worst show I've ever been in... that's so easy. It would be my high school production of 'A Midsummer Nights Dream'. It was horrible! We had 2 1/2 months (including christmas break) to learn our lines, get the set together, and get our costumes ready. It was a complete disaster! Our set consisted of 2 platforms (one on either side of the stage), 2 lite arches (between the platforms), and a bunch of fake plants... IN POTS!!! The costumes were almost as bad. We had puffy shirts for those who were playing boys, a plastic donkey mask for the girl who played Bottom (she had to lift the thing to be heard clearly), an old/dingy dress to be worn by the girl who play Helena, a light green nightgown to be worn by the girl playing Hermia, and a black robe worn by the boy playing Egeus! The fairys got to wear old dancing uniforms and covered themselves in glitter. Only 4 or 5 people actually knew their lines (including me, mind I was only Snout) and so everybody else had to use their scripts! We had no stage crew, correction, we were the stage crew. The only thing that didn't suck was the lighting and that was because the light board actually worked for the first time. And the darn thing is only 4 years old! We wanted to stop and startover from scratch but no, the show must go on. And it did, and it sucked major booty. You can ask SirJill, she was the one who did the lighting. and this was all at Hidden Valley High. My first high school (Portsmouth High) did 'A Midsummer Nights Dream' my sophmore year and they got 5 months to work on it, had a professional semstress make the costumes free of charge (as she always did because she went to that school), had the tech arts classes make the set, had the thearter, art, and music students paint the set (all of whom was recognized in the program by names), and the theater students who weren't in the play fixed the light gels and helped those in the play learn their lines. We were even automatic understudies in case one of the acters were sick. HVH HADNO UNDERSTUDIES!!!!!!!!
