Tiki Jim got onto his board. "Yeah, I think that's an awesome idea. It is pretty cold now. Plus we're all wet." He chuckled as it had been his fault. Well, at least the last bit of water, anyway.

((Is it alright if I bring Laugh-A-Lot into things a tiny bit, since I'd feel quite irresponsible to let her wonder goodness-knows-where away from home after dark?))
"Let's go, then!" Reira paddled her way back to the coast, standing once the water was shallow enough. She picked up her board and did her best to walk with it toward her home. This proved slightly difficult, due to the size of the board and the multitude of trees, but her home wasn't set very far into the forest. "We can set the boards right inside the door," she commented as a chill ran down her spine. Her feet quickly navigated the familiar stepping-stone path. Once she reached the door, she glanced back to Tiki Jim. "Welcome to my home, I suppose!" She laughed, not knowing if that was really the proper way to invite someone inside or not.

((Of course you can. biggrin ))
Tiki Jim got out of the water and followed Reira with his board in hand. He then followed her inside. "I think what we need are towels or a big blanket?" He asked with a smiled. Being a snuggly on the couch sounded good. "Too bad we couldn't get hot chocolate from my Hula Grandaddy as well."

Reira leaned her board carefully against the wall next to the door. She loved her cozy little home. In this cool weather, it stayed warm and comfortable.
One of the first sights welcoming her was a wide-eyed child who appeared to have been at least attempting to sleep on a child-sized bed until the pair had come inside. "Hey sweetie," Reira greeted warmly. "This is Tiki Jim." She waved in his general direction as she rummaged through a cabinet. From it, she produced a couple of large towels. Keeping one for herself, she tossed the other at Tiki Jim. "I might have some hot chocolate..."
Laugh-A-Lot responded with a knowing "Ooooh," and a giggle. She had vacated her bed and approached Tiki Jim. After all, everyone was a potential friend the child. "I'm Laugh-A-Lot. You can call me whatever you want, though. It's a long name..." She smiled cheerfully. "Hot chocolate's on the shelf over the sink." Honestly, how often did she have to tell Reira where things were around here?

Tiki Jim took the towel and started drying his head first. "Oh, hello. My name's long too. Tiki Jim. How about Giggle? Or Chuckle? Nah, Laughs is good." He smiled down at the child with a nod. He then began to dry the rest of himself.

The smile was enough for Laugh-A-Lot, and she beamed back. She'd already decided that she liked Tiki Jim; she'd heard good things about him before, anyway. Ignoring the 'give-me-some-space' look Reira gave her, she decided she wanted to be chatty. "So you're from the beach? What's it like? Reira says there's good food there. And you get to surf all the time? Is that fun? Are those surf boards?"
Reira could help the small chuckle that escaped her lips as Laugh-A-Lot began her tirade. She tied her hair back into a high ponytail and wrapped the towel around herself like a large blanket before making her way toward the shelf over the sink. Sure enough, there was a container of instant hot chocolate there, along with a few mugs. "So it is. Do we want hot chocolate, then?"

Tiki Jim smiled. "Yeah, the beach is a lot of fun. I've never had to leave it before. I love surfing and it is fun too. Those are surf boards. You know my Hula Grandaddy could teach you like he did Reira and me." He told the care pae with a bigger smile.
"That sounds nice. I am getting dry and warming up now. You have a nice home."

Laugh-A-Lot listened intently to Tiki Jim's answers. "Really?" she asked incredulously as she pulled him toward the sofa. It was much more comfortable than standing around. "He would really teach me how to surf?" She was quite excited. "Reira, would you take me...?"
Reira made the hot chocolate rather quickly and was soon over at the sofa handing out the mugs. "Maybe. If you take your hot chocolate and you go find a nice book to read until you go to sleep..." Sure, it was a bit underhanded, but Reira wanted Tiki Jim's attention back.
It seemed to work, and with a cheerful "Okay, G'night Tiji!" Laugh-A-Lot scampered off.
"Tiji..." Reira giggled as she settled in next to him. She had to give the little girl credit; it was a decent nickname.
((Note: Tiji: In my mind, 'Ti' sounds like 'tea' or 'tee,' while 'ji' sounds like the beginning of geography or jeans. I think it's cute. whee ))

((LOL))
"Of couse he will. My Hula Graddaddy is the nicest of all paes. At least all the ones I've met." He smiled as he sat down.
"Okay, good night there." He waved as she left. It was a nice nick-name. His name was always a bit long, but so was his grandpa's and mothers. It was just something that came with his family.

Reira sipped at her hot chocolate casually and snuggled in next to Tiki Jim. "Mmm, good hot chocolate, good company... A nice night at home." She really could get used to this.
"She seemed to really like you," Reira commented of her 'little sister.' She was glad; she didn't know what she'd have done if she hadn't.

((Now that Reira grew do you want to grow her now or wait?))
Tiki Jim took a big swig of his hot chocolate. "This is very good. And it is nice and warm. Awesome." He snuggled close to her as well. This was a very nice. 'Yeah, I think so. I like her too. She's very cute." Tiki Jim nodded. He wondered when his little sister would be a child like that and if she could leave the water then.

((For the RP she can wait. I was expecting Tiki Jim to grow before/at the same time, since he's slightly older(right?). *So excited about the new lineart and such*))
"Well, it's good that you like her, because now that she knows you... She'll be like velcro. You'll never be able to escape her." Reira laughed, knowing that what she said was a bit of an overstatement. All the same, Laugh-A-Lot would very likely try to seek out Tiki Jim if he didn't stop by often enough.
Reira took another sip of her hot chocolate before asking with a smile, "You said your little sister was still quite young? I bet she'll be like mine soon enough..."

((Ah, I guess he is a bit older. That sounds fine.))
Tiki JIm chuckled. "Oh, yeah? Well, that's fine with me. I don't want to escape her!" He winked as he just ment escapeing the care would be escaping her and he didn't want that.
"Yeah, she will one day. I wonder when Naiads are able to get out of the water? I'd hate not being able to go to the bar or other places."

Reira had some guess at what Tiki Jim had meant, but she teased him a bit anyway. "Oh? But what about me, Tiji?" she asked, trying to sound as hurt as possible. She nearly laughed, though, when she said 'Tiji.'
"I don't know..." Reira thought about what she knew of Naiads, which really wasn't much. She was a bit curious as well now. "The only Naiad I even remember meeting was Aoaka... I bet it won't be long, though, before she's running all over the place."

"Oh, yeah... I guess I can't let you escape. At least not anymore." He chuckled and winked as he was only joking.
"I'm sure that's true. The Naiads are very interesting, anyway." Tiki Jim took another drink from his mom and smiled to Reria.
