Maurice smiled and nodded his agreement. "Yea, it's been a bit of a long day f' me. Sleep sounds wonderful, 'specially as its s' warm 'ere compared t' other places this time of year. Umm... can you just sleep wherever or is there somewhere specific you're meant t' go?" the Ichsa asked, glancing about in the hope of spotting a likely looking bit of shelter. Even if he was only going to be here for a short time he didn't want to upset any of the residence by messing up their routines.

"Yes, it's nice and warm here. Just one reason why I love it here," she said with a giggle. She looked around, then back to the other ichsa and flicked an ear. "No, I don't really think we're supposed to sleep in specific areas. Right here is just fine, I think. I always sleep here," another smile upon her muzzle. She turned and walked a few paces then paused, standing in between two large trees that were a couple yards apart, their branches and leaves creating a sort of canopy above the space between them. She turned back around and carefully slid her legs under her to lay down, then peered over at Maurice. "This is my favorite sleeping spot, right here," she giggled again, tail flicking one last time as she leaned against the tree she'd laid next to. "You can sleep here too if you'd like, there's more than enough room, or you can sleep somewhere else if you prefer."

"Umm..." Sleeping too close to someone he'd know for such a short time was a disquieting concept. But then, so was wandering too far off and risking encounter with someone who wasn't as friendly as Nizhoni. Well, where he was standing right now was alright; he was a little sheltered by one of the trees, not too close to the Ichsa mare and yet not so far off that he might be considered to be a stranger alone in this part of the valley.
"I think I'll stay 'ere," Maurice said eventually, walking a little closer to one of the trees. "Thanks f' showin' me about by the way Niz, I'm glad I met up with you." Even if he didn't come close to trusting her yet, the blue-coated stallion knew a good piece of luck when it came his way; a relatively warm place to rest and put some weight back on was very welcome at this time of year with his leg playing up as it was.

A smile still played upon her muzzle as she watched him; she assumed he wouldn't want to sleep too close to her because of his nervousness, but where he decided to lay, she thought, was a good choice. "You're welcome for showing you around, Maurice, and I'm glad to have met you, as well. I hope you like staying in the valley," she admitted with a smile. She moved her muzzle to one side of her tucked-in foreleg, and allowed herself a long, sleep yawn before her ear flicked a few times. "Goodnight," said she as she rested her head against the tree trunk and closed her emerald eyes.

Maurice smiled slightly and closed his eyes. "Night Niz, I hope I enjoy my stay 'ere too." Perhaps the delay wouldn't be such a bad thing after all; it wasn't often he had the chance to make friends. Smiling peacefully to himself, the blue-caoted stallion drifted into sleep.
