((Well it doesn't seem like anyone posted in the Durem thread yet. So I'll post here and wait for the others. I think Quinny should decide wherever we are going since she is the team leader.))
Kana stepped a little closer in the circle that was now formed around Ourania. She held the now open letter into her hands, and discussed either if they should leave it where it was or not. "Hmmm." mumbled Kanashimii. She pushed a few locks of hair from her face, leaving her hand on top of her head. "Well... while we're at it, we might as well just go take a look in Durem. If we find the symbol that's on the paper, on one of those mansion, perhaps we can go see these people and ask them about it. Even though the letter was not directed to us, maybe it was meant to be found by us. Connections could be made, once we get in Durem." she explained. "And if nothing happens, if we can't come with a conclusion in Durem, I say we take the letter back here and leave it where we found it. It's as simple as that!" she added, looking back to the space where the letter was found.
Even though the letter was very short, without any dates or names, Kana felt it was related to their cause, whatever it was. She barely knew what their 'mission' was as a team, but they certainly wouldn't find out by staying in Barton.

Quinn stood up in a huff, still pouting about her loss of candy. Kicking some loose dirt towards the theiving rat moogle, she looked at the crew. "Well, we've been waiting here all day and Crystal Guardian hasn't come and no one else has come and now I'm out of candy and there's this really good store in Durem that sells all kinds of candy and I want to go there. So, I think we should go to Durem and try to match the sigil to one of the Houses and then let the occupant know that the reason this professor hasnt received the correspondence is because their courrier has been leaving them under bushes."
Inhaling deeply after that long littany, Quinn finished, "What do you all think?"
((Please post what you think we should do and then Quinn will tally the votes and we will move on.))

"I opt for heading to Durem, to see if we can't find out more on where this note came from." Vash said, finally breaking his silence. "After all, the crystal guardian still hasn't shown up, and I can't imagine she's on her way here at all, if she's made us wait this long..." he trailed off, shrugging.

"A suitable quest," Odilen decided. "And maybe there'll be a reward in it, too?" A little extra gold certainly would be nice. She licked her lips. "Anyway, if we look around the noble districts we should be able to find something - those sorts aren't exactly shy about plastering their crests on everything they own, after all."

Ourania tapped the letter to her chin, feeling Fiore pulling at a strand of her hair and trying to subjucate Basape with it. Resisting the urge to grin, the summoner stood as well, dusting off her bottom. "I also think that taking a side trip to Durem couldn't hurt. And Like Vash said, we've nothing else to go on... I say we go."
Na'ir was going to strangle her...

Quinn smiled a little more with each vote for Durem. She was going to get to go to the candy store after all! "Well, majority rules. I'll load up Therin ((Aziraphale)) with everything I think we might need and if we end up needing more pack animals, well, we can come back here and get them... or stop at my house in Durem to get some help!
Lets go!"
((Alright, everyone. To the Durem thread!))

Night had fallen and the events that had transgressed were still fresh within the minds of the people of Barton. The strange airship above the forest and the multitude of rumours flying around in relation to freak occurances elsewhere in Gaia had only served to heighten the events and thus the woman was by no means surprised to find so many discussing the occurances.
Lifting a gloved hand to her hair, she ensured that the silver strands were not out of place and proceeded into the tavern, lifting her cane so that the centre rested in her palm and prevented the idle and often distracting 'clack' that would have caused so many to turn and gaze at her. She was a woman of breeding, delicate and otherwise attractive yet her eyes could only warn of a more dangerous side that lay within.
As intimidating as she may have been however, she did havea job to do and as she reached the back of the room where the tavern lay her lips pursed and she took a seat, kicking her black boots up onto the seat beside her as she rested the cane on her lap and kept her eyes fixed solely on the door of the tavern where her charge would be arriving shortly.
Now all she had to do was wait...

The man had a faint smile upon his face. His blonde hair was shoulder length, tangled slightly, obviously not the target of constant care. His skin was dark, his body muscled, with signs of scars and old wounds that hadn't quite completely healed. His face was clean, but his eyes, his eyes seemed distant, dull, and dark, like the depths of the northern seas.
He was dressed in a simple, worn pair of blue jeans, and a tight dark blue tee shirt, with short sleeves reaching halfway between his elbows and his shoulders. His smile deeped, just a bit, as he steped through the doorway, out of the light, and into the relatively dark interior.
He had in his left hand, a small, folded note. His eyes scanned the tavern, looking for someone. Slowly he started making his way away from the door, to his left, following the wall, while his eyes continued to scan the area.

There he was.
The smile on her lips grew - the expression that should have carried a warmth instead carried one of deeping cruelty, either that or an increase in danger but both usually came together when most people were concerned. Her delicate and yet small fingers curled around her cane, the soft blue material of her jacket stroking her flesh in the process as she continued to watch her subject enter in a similar manner to she had previously.
Allowing him to scan the tavern, she fixed her azure blue gaze upon him and continued to toy with the end of her sleeve with her free hand, the fingertips stroking the silken material. She couldn't help but take notice of his suitably rugged appearance but then again many failed to dress in the same style as she did (a shame, a shame indeed) however she knew that he was the one she sought.
"Over here." She cooed softly from the depths of the corner in which her lithe form lay, her legs sprawled across one of the four chairs lying around the table while she extended her cane and finally pushed one of the free pair towards him with it's point.
"Over here." She repeated softly, the smile still remaining on her lips regardless of whether or not it reached her eyes or was meant to be taken as a greeting.

The man's eyes locked onto the lithe form over in the corner. His smile remained, the same sort of cold expression that the woman herself seemed to be wearing. His face was obviously unaccustomed to a real smile, with the faint scars, and his deep lines that seemed to speak of a more constant scowling.
He moved slowly and easily through the crowd and the tables, twisting where necesssary to get through, but never letting any of the other patrons here touch him. It seemed almost quite odd, really, as he finally finished, pulling the seat out a little more as he got to the woman's table.
He bowed his head to her, before he finally took his seat, sitting square and tall upon the chair. The smile was gone now, his face blank, impassive. His hands were folded in his lap, and in them, the small bit of paper he had brought on this trip.

"You actually came." The woman mused almost to herself as she lifted her left hand (that which was free) and motioned to the tender to indicate that she wished to order, another pointed glance also noted that she wanted her usual - perhaps this was one of the places in which she scheduled all her meetings.
"And in good time as well." She glanced outside at the darkness and pursed her lips thoughtfully, a flicker of annoyance flashing briefly within her azure blue gaze before it fixated itself upon her guest once more. She fell silent at that moment and waited patiently for her wine to be served, only deciding to speak again when both glass and bottle had been set down before her.
"So tell me," She lifted the bottle and proceeded to pour the liquid into the glass, "Why did you decide to grace me with your presence?" She enquired, setting the bottle down with a soft clunk as she swooped the glass into her gloved hand and lifted it to her lips.

The man sat silent, impassive. He moved not an inch, and continued to look the woman in the eyes the whole time that she was busy ordering and waiting. Moments passed and he said nothing. Finally he spoke, when it seemed like there was no more information forthcoming from the woman across from her.
"You know why I came. You were the one that promised the bait to draw me here, were you not?" he spoke, his voice was rough and deep, though slightly polished and well ununciated. His eyes seemed to drift to a point just an inch over the woman's own gaze as he spoke.

The woman smiled behind her glass and placed it against her lip as she sipped at the content, savouring the taste as she continued to drag out their meeting until she was certain of the manner in which she desired to address the issue in question. As she continued to sip her wine she paid very little heed to the tendrils of silver hair creeping around to plague her cheeks and instead she kept her attention focused directly on her guest.
"Ah, you want the gold." She purred at last, shaking her head as she released a quite chuckle and carefully placed her glass upon the table once more. From there she proceeded to stroke at the cuff of her sleeve again and canted her head to the side (promptly removing the hair from her cheeks in the process).
"One hundred thousand gold, you may do with it as you please provided that you are successful in the job that I wish to hire you for." She stated in a more direct manner, no longer prepared for idle chatter nor games when she was aware that the man was after the same thing as her own heart often desired.
"All I need you to do is a little spy work and provide a little distraction..."

The man nodded, just a slight bob of his head and eyes, an inch at most. His eyes came back down, watching the woman's eyes, and her hair as she finished speaking. His hands slid into his pockets, depositing the paper before they were drawn back out, and folded in his lap again.
"Who is the target?" the man asked flatly, though his dark eyes glittered, just a bit, with a strange, evil lusting. His lips should have been drawn into a cruel smile with that sort of look in his eyes, but it remained flat and calm still.
