Lucind grinned and nodded.

I know it sounds strange to someone who's used to different styles of cuisine. It's tasty, though - and healthy. But maybe I shouldn't tell you what else coming from the sea the people of Latent are eating... wink

She saw that Rebecca had her difficulties with the menu - and not only because of the fact she was holding it upside down.



Oh my, Lucind thought, she's like a beaten up dog, afraid of every step and every word of herself. By now, the Half-Siren supposed that the girl had been dragged out of her own world rather unexpected - for what reason ever - had lost her usual background and was additionally forced to live on her own. And now she was simply overwhelmed because there were too many new things, new languages, new ways of life. Or maybe Rebecca had left her old life behind voluntary, being intrigued by stories of far, mysterious places and wanted to see them by herself - only to realize that those strange places caused more difficulties than expected.

Uhm, take a spit, made of wood or metal, put pieces of raw meat or vegetables - or both - on it and either cook it or put it onto a grill. Maybe you have another word for it?

She simply explained it to her, not in a teaching way, just with a tone in her voice indicating it was alright to ask, she didn't had to be embarrassed about it.
Lucind then placed her own menu-card on the table, turned it around and gave Rebecca a short summary of the different meals.

When finally a waiter brought their food, Lucind thanked and began to eat in silence - not because she didn't like to talk while eating. But she felt her strength flagging more and more and hoped the meal would give her back some energy.

After some minutes, she sipped the last rest of soup, holding the small bowl in both hands. After placing it back onto the table, Lucind looked at Rebecca rather unconcerned and stated dryly:

Just remembered that I've got no money with me. ... Shoudn't be a problem, though...

Rebecca, on the other hand, hadn't ordered anything yet, and needed to fix that the next time the waiter came around. When he did to bring Lucind her seaweed concoction, she tried to make a hasty decision... and failed, as usual.

"Just..." she started, stammering a bit as she tried to talk and think at the same time, yet didn't succeed in either, "...um... whatever it is that she orderd... the thing... shakimaka... er... that. sweatdrop "


"Bleedin'-" Rebecca suddenly stiffened... then squirmed a little bit in her seat.

She had stored away a bit of money in her room, and had remembered to keep a few coins in a pocket in her britches whenever possible; but none of that really helped her now. The stadium had collapsed upon itself, and everything that had been in her room was lost for certain. Including her clothes... She was still wearing the outfit that Twitch had dressed her in, and, as far a she could tell, she didn't have any pockets.

"I..." the girl started, speaking ack just as dryly to Lucind, though a bit more high-strung than the other woman's unconcerned tone had been, "...don't have any either..."

*She blinked out of confusion and just stared at him. She leaned her arm back into the chair to hold herself up and looked straight into his eyes, leaning forward to get a better look at his face. Clumps of her soft pink hair fell forward into her face covering one of her silvery blue eyes, as her other eye carfully studied his face*

"Then why.... why do you look so flushed? Are you feeling alright silver?"

*she carefully lifted her other hand from the bar and gently touched his forhead to check for a fever, her fingers softly pushing up his silver hair from his eyes*

*Her eye brow raised and she leaned slightly in her chair and pushed her hair back from her eyes as a huge grin grew on her face and she turned to the side slightly and said teasingly.*

"Your embarassed aren't you? You so are!"

*she let out a giggle and covered her mouth, her silvery blue eyes shifting towards him, filled with a childish playful look*

*She giggles and shakes her head, her hair falling back into her silvery eye with a triumphant grin and says playfuly*

"I really can't tell you, but that is something only you can answer yourself"

*She blushed for a second, lifting the arm she was leaning on in the chair up out of shock, almost falling out of her chair, quickly catching herself. When she realized her predictament with her money pouch and realized he'd offered to let her stay in his room for the night. She let out a silent laugh at her stupidity and quickly lept up from the chair, landing with a soft thump and swiftly ran towards the lobby and called towards him*

"I'm comming, don't leave me here!"

*she blushed and quickly shook her head her hair flew in every direction and then just came to a sudden stop and she looked down and said sheepishly*

"To be perfectly honest I have never been been to this town before... I onlt knew this place was here because I was really hungry and I smelt food"

*She gave an embarassed giggle and held her hand behind her head and held her head up. and then looked down to the ground.*

"Other then that I have never really even noticed this town before..."
