Al sat up straight, looking away, acting as if he hadn't been staring. "Hell if I know..." He answered her quietly, unaware of the steady stream of blood that had started flowing from his nose at the very lovely sight of what she hid under her skirt. He sighed and sniffed, feeling the wetness of blood suddenly and touched his hand above his upper lip, watching it come away with blood. "Great..." He mumbled.

Kira continued frowning at him, eyes widening as she caught sight, and scent, of the blood. She stared for a moment, and then shifted the sweatshirt more firmly over herself. Her face was steadily reddening, the color showing obviously on her pale cheeks. "So," she began rather coldly. "You're a criminal and a pervert?"

Al smirked, keeping good nature in his grin. "It's not my fault you have such a perfect petite body and my eyes couldn't help but look..." He said simply. "You're a babe after all, it's kinda strange this hasn't happened to you before, even if the person didn't want you for a girlfriend, you still look great!" He said simply, unaware he had dropped a hint that he found her attractive.

"...be quiet." That was all she could come up with to say as she averted her gaze to a wall. No she wasn't.. She wasn't perfect, and she wasn't a babe either. She wrinkled her nose slightly and then shot him a glare. "And don't make that face!" she added, jabbing a clawed finger in his direction. Her face was very red though, and she quickly covered it with a hand, disguising the act by pretending she was just propping her head up. It was probably pretty obvious though. She wasn't used to this at all. No one came up and just simply told her that. She wasn't sure how to react.

Al wiped his face and under his nose with a tissue, cleaning off the blood, then walked over to Kira, took her hand in one of his, moving it from her face, and wrapped his other arm around her shoulders. "You really don't think you're as perfect as I say you are do you?" He asked simply, a gentle smile on his face for once.

Kira blinked a couple times, eyes widening just slightly as he came over and moved her hand. She stared at it for a second, and then to his face for another second, before finally shaking her head. "I'm not perfect," she said simply, but her voice had lost the cold edge, most likely due to surprise, and embarrassment, judging by how red her face had turned. She blinked, tail curling around her waist. He had his arm around her. Why was his arm around her?

Al released Kira's hand and laced it beneath her chin, now standing in front of her. He lifted her face and bent over her, planting his lips on hers for roughly a minute. When he came away he said one thing. "Does that prove to you how perfect I think you are?" Then he walked away and sat on the couch, stretching out and yawning.

Kira froze, completely, as she watched him leaning closer. At first she didn't seem to know what he was doing, even though it was extremely obvious. Maybe she just didn't believe he was doing it. That is, until she actually felt his lips on hers. Her eyes didn't close and she didn't move a muscle, even her tail frozen in place. Shock. She was in a complete state of shock. Even after he'd pulled away she just sat there dumbly, and didn't register what he'd said until a second or two after the fact. "Wh-wha...?" she stammered idiotically and then closed her eyes for a second, regaining her composure. But even then, all she managed to do was point at him and say, "You can't do that!" Her first kiss; stolen by this... this criminal! Stolen! He really was a criminal! And that didn't prove anything. He'd probaby kissed tons of girls! He was perfectly calm too. Why was she the only one freaking out?!

Al sighed sadly. Guess she didn't trust him like that yet, so he turned his sad expression to one of happy go lucky humor and said loudly. "Guess I'm a thief of more than material possessions now!" He laughed a little bit, but not as much as he would have had he not truly liked her.

Kira stared at him for a few seconds, her expression almost a pout and face still bright red. He'd really just.. kissed her. She blinked and then shifted her gaze to the floor, chewing absently on her lip as she thought to herself. Now she was confused. Did he really like her, or was he just trying to make the best of having a girl as a roommate? She wasn't sure. At first she would've guessed the latter, but she had seen the sad expression before he'd reverted back to normal.
She rubbed at her red cheeks for a moment and then glanced back at him, frowning slightly. "Were you serious?" she asked. "Just now?" Yes, she was a blunt, to the point type of person. But then she had second thoughts, and shook her head, eyes closing. "..nevermind." She didn't want to know, so she changed the subject. "I need something to do," she complained, writhing in her chair.

Al thought long and hard after being to,d to forget about the subject of whether or not he was being truthful. He would have told her yes had he gotten the chance, but now he had to find something to occupy her and himself with. "I have no idea what to do... Life goes on and is extremely boring at school... Even in your dorm..." He said quietly.

Kira let out a sigh and looked down at her hand, staring for a moment at the two claws. All the rest of her fingers had regular human nails on the end. Her expression slipped into a frown as she glanced back at him. "Well, make yourself useful then," she said simply. "I came here for a reason, you know." She stood and walked towards him, pausing in front of him and then held out her hand. A small bit of ice formed in her palm, eventually shaping itself into a tiny ball. "I'm supposed to be learning how to control this," she explained. "Any ideas?" Honestly, she wasn't very good at controlling her power. He was lucky that, when they'd met, she'd simply frozen his hand and not his whole arm by mistake.

"Umm... I'm not a teacher... But I could suggest something... Try focusing on one way to form it and keep forming it like that repeatedly... Maybe that'll help..." Al suggested quietly, unsure if it would work. His father had actually locked him away from the rest of New York when the family "curse" was passed on to him. During that six month period he had been trained in how to use fire and alchemy. Of course, he was a bit fuzzy on how he was trained, but he did know how to control his powers at least.

Kira frowned slightly and then shrugged, retreating back to her chair. She couldn't sit like a normal person, it seemed, and that was a problem because of the skirt, so she quickly pulled her sweatshirt over herself like a blanket again, eyes locked upon the ball of ice in her hand. She was alright with small things, but the larger and more detailed they got, the more trouble she had shaping it. She let out a sigh and narrowed her eyes slightly, trying to focus. The ball in her hand slowly shifted down into a sheet along her palm, then rose up again into another ball, slightly larger than the first. After a couple seconds more, it slowly began to shape itself like a rose, though it turned out a little... lopsided.

"Keep practicing at that until you can perfect it... The best I can do with my power is..." Al paused and focused, flames starting to roll on his hand, then it became a smooth perfect glowing circle of fire, then from the circle, which looked like an egg, burst a young pheonix-like bundle of flames, every feather on it formed almost perfectly, though the beak was a little more hooked than it should have been. "Well... How do you like it?" He asked simply.
