"...It's not," Mayu agreed, finally managing to look over her shoulder right at the loud crash. The monster toppled over as the giant stone ball overtook it, colliding into the walls like an oversized pinball. Another crash added to the noise as the weakened wall began to open up, a large hole forming where the monster had first crashed into it.

"Ouch. I didn't know that could happen to spirits." Loki winced, whistling to Lue as he dropped Mayu's boot. Lue came into view, dropping the lantern as Loki's hand raised and caught it in midair, the lizard going to his shoulder and hiding under the rather torn up collar of Loki's shirt.
"Of course... it wasn't really a spirit to begin with." Loki continued, glancing to Lue as he smirked, leaning on the wall and waiting for Mayu to put her boots on. He then moved to walk outside, his pace quick but his body subdued.

"Thanks," Mayu nodded, slipping her boots on quickly before following Loki. She watched the monster for a little while longer before ducking into the dark room once again.
"Light your lantern up," she said, as if that wasn't obvious already in the almost pitch black of the room. The Legend kicked some rubble aside as she waited, pushing her hands into her pockets again.

"You heard the lady." Loki smirked as he glanced to Lue, holding the lantern up for the lizard to crawl inside. The lantern lit brighter, soon illuminating the area enough for them to see.
He walked past the downed monster, giving it only a glance as it groaned, half-glaring at them. It made no movement to get up. "Silly spirit-beast." Loki chided, before continuing on, towards the small bit of light that they had.

Mayu followed, stepping over bits and pieces that had been dislodged from the walls and ceiling by the monster. She walked towards the stairs, noticing that quite a large piece of rubble had fell there, conveniently aiding as a footstep for the two Legends --- though still not raising them up enough for them to climb up by themselves.
She looked at the stairs for a moment, thinking.
"How about you get on my shoulders and climb up, then you pull me up once you get on the stairs?" Mayu asked, looking over to Loki. "Unless you want to go back and find more things to pile up here so we can climb?"

Loki gave a shrug, before smirking at her. "I can pull you up."

"Then what are you waiting for? Get up here!"
Mayu had already climbed upon the piece of rubble, and was waving a hand frenziedly at Loki. She dropped to her knees, waiting for him to climb up as she gritted her teeth. Her coat would soften the stress put on by his shoes, but it would hurt nontheless.

Trying to make it as painless as he possibly could, Loki climbed up as well before getting on her shoulders, launching himself up with ease and pulling himself up on the stairs (though with a bit of difficulty, thanks to his lantern - that thing was never going of his sight again). He remained there for a few moments, and it seemed like Mayu had been all but forgotten.
His hand then extended, however, waiting for her to grab on so he could pull her up.

Mayu grabbed onto Loki's hand tightly, waiting for him to pull her up enough so that she could grab ahold of the edge of the stairs to ease herself up the rest of the way.
Once up, Mayu walked up a few steps before brushing off the dust which clung to her clothing.
"Well, that wasn't so bad," she sighed, beginning to climb the long length of stairs.

"Not at all!" The male Legend exclaimed, turning to run up the stairs and break out of the doorway, laughing as he spun around in circles, the lantern swinging wildly from his hand.
"Any favor at all, any favor you want, you can name anything. I owe you, Mayu." Loki was laughing. He was laughing in glee.

"Well, I am getting kind of hungry," Mayu thought out loud, "but I'll buy my own lunch, thanks."
She stepped out into the bright sunlight, having to shield her eyes for a moment as it was so stunning to see after the dim conditions in the building. The snow was gently beginning to fall, a few inches collecting on the ground.
"...You want this coat now?" she asked, moving to take the patchwork coat off. "It's getting cold."
