As Spath slept, flashing memories attacked him like splashes of water made of static, everything was fuzzy, he could only hear sounds of a fight being ensued. He'd look up and there was Ryan, just as carefree as he once was and soon ,as if another flash, he was engulfed in some kind of...evil aura as something shone in his hand. "Ryan" would soon become engulfed in a fire that didn't burn bright but shone a darkest hue as he stared on at Spath, flashes of Ryan came back and forth surrounding this image as "Ryan" approached Spath..."Ryan" lifted his sword and struck...
Spath woke up in a cold sweat, breathing hard, it was the first time in his life he was afraid of Ryan Kane...his rival. He'd look and there was Somotha, burning his hand as he stood guard over Jeremiah (who was sleeping with his eyes half open). "He's close, if anything, we're gonna have to be on our guard, the Muertes Crow shot up, which doesn't seem like a good sign", Somotha said to Spath. They were soon drowned out by snoring (probably from Revin who was sleeping where he was sitting).

Vain had been on patrol, shifting through the few shadows the plain offered to him. 'I hope Elise is alright...' He worried, but he knew she could handle herself. The screeching sound flooded Vain's ears once more, growing even louder then before. "Ouch, s**t! Forgot that the jewel was still on me..." Placing hands over his ears, he rose out from the shadow he was currently in. 'I should get back to the others, if this thing is indeed any indication of Kane's status, then we should be ready...' With that, he went back to regroup with the others.
Meanwhile, Elise had been in hiding, not too far off from the gates of rebirth. She was perched above a small rock formation that was above the gate; he cool emerald eyes keeping watch for the guards, and the others return. 'Everything silent on this end... that's good.'

Bella suddenly was falling upon entering the portal, and she seemed to be falling endlessly. She closed her eyes and chanted a guardian light spell, and instantly, she hit the ground, landing near the gates of rebirth. "Owwww, that didn't go so well..." She got up, dusting herself off, and whipped out her nunchaku. This place didn't exactly have the same feel, but she could sense the same evil energies lingering in this place, mixed in with many other kinds of powerful energies. She would have to be extremely cautious and vigilant in case she ran into something deadly.

Spath soon approached Reven, "About earlier...", he'd say as he attempt to recollect Reven's "familiar" remark but was suddenly shooed away, "tch..you'd think we were a team or something. The screech woke up the lot of them as they'd recollect their thoughts. Somotha twitched. "Somethin' botherin' ya?", "just got an itch that I thought I scratched off", he'd say as he'd double take to see if that "itch" was around.
He'd walk towards an old building formation that supposedly look as if it was melted but still standing, "looks like I got a lot of time to spare", he'd say as he'd place his hood over his head.
One of the swords that Somotha was holding just happened to twitch a little while the jewel that Vain just happened to be holding glowed and trembled..something was trying to get out.

Vain returned to the others, his ears still covered. "Hey, we really need to hurry up and find him, because this jewel is starting to become a pain in the a**."
Elise arched an eyebrow as Bella went inside the gates. "What is she up to?" Not wanting to take chances, she dropped down from her hiding place to take chase.

Bella stopped, having no idea where she was going, and pulled out a talisman "Holy power of light eternal, grant me the path to that which I seek" She chanted a few strange words, and her talisman burst into a white flame, sending a single strand of white light that led the way. She held onto her nunchaku with her other hand, being sure to proceed ever cautiously. She stopped suddenly, smelling feminine presence. She focused in the direction of the smell, and amongst the energies, she could sense one particular that was similar to that of a demon, but at the same time completely different. "If you are not of the evils that pour into my home, then show yourself now!"

"Alright then." Elise agreed as she stood in front of her. "Might I ask, just what business you have here?" She looked Bella right in the eyes as she spoke, her voice giving off a sense of demand to the question.

Bella sized up the woman before rolling her eyes "Yeah yeah, wouldn't you like to know? I don't like your hagly tone of voice. I think I am just going to keep quiet and ignore you for now, I have more important matters to tend to" She casually walked around the woman, focusing on the light, which was now fraying, going off in multiple directions "Hmm, this doesn't make any sense, there must be something that is interfering with my spell" She sighed irritably "Oh well, guess I am going to have to do this the hard way" She turned and headed in the direction of one of the endmost strands of light, keeping the beacon held in the same direction to keep her bearings.

as the jewel shook, it seemed to start to get bigger, "Vain!", Spath would say as he'd take the jewel away from him as it'd die down, Ry's close.... "A little too close, eh Spathy", a familiar voice would say, exposing a man with a hood....

"Who's there?" Vain asked as he turned to the hooded man.
Elise just watched as she went about her business. Giving a small shrug, she just let out a sigh. "She doesn't seem to be a threat to our goal, no sense worrying about her. Just wish the guys would hurry up, guard duty is too boring..."

"I don't think we've met", the hooded man would say as he approached Somotha, "I'd like to have this back though", he'd say as his sword would float back to the hooded man with a glowing fiery aura. "R..Ry?", Jeremiah, Spath and Revin asked (truth be known, Revin was actually wide awake for once). The hooded man would take off his hood and show an older, mature, slightly skinnier Ryan Kane, "in the flesh" as a different kind of screech echoed through the area...something was a tad different about this screech though..it was close...really..really..close.

"We'll continue this reunion at my place; I got a blender that'll make your head spin and I've been looking for an excuse to put it to use. As for now, we should take care of the guest approaching."
Elise ran deep within the plane, trailing Vain's aura. "Something big is heading their way, I have to help them."
