Everything happened so fast she could do nothing but look on with irritation. She had jumped up and rushed the woman, but had not been quick enough. She turned sharply as the swarm of branches and leaves headed toward her new friends, and she quickly grabbed her Rosary "Holy Mother of Protection and Mercy, guide the spirits of flame to the targets of this transgression!" She put her palms out and a large flaming familiar came forth, blocking everyone just as the attack came. The branches and leaves burned up, falling harmlessly as burnt compost. The familiar continued to fly overhead, as she rushed over to everyone "Are you all alright?"
Tiska ran over to her tugging her dress "Sister! That bad woman got away with the Bible! She is taking it away from us!"
Sister tapped him on the shoulder and shook her head "Don't worry about that. At least it has not fallen into the hands of Father Rache or the dragon. At least we have some time bought to figure out the real objectives for the Temple and Father's search for the Ancient Tome. And do not forget, only I can read the Parilis Bible, as it was written in the Code of the Holy Motherhood, only my family knows it." She turned to Trace "Well, what should we do now? Jinmaru and Father rache should be hot on oru trail by now. Should we prepare for a fight?"

Sister Apathie frowned "Do you know anything at all about the Parilis Bible? Aside from it's potential dangers, of course" She shook her head "I will go with you, perhaps it's best if I told you more about it. Forgive me, I do trust that you are a good person, but the Parilis Bible is an extremely powerful tome, and if misused it could be a dangerous weapon, and I thought it best to wait on telling you the full details until I had studied it myself. You see, it can be used to bring out catastrophe, but it can also be used to protect from it. It is as powerful in good hands as it is bad, and I planned on using it to learn the ancient magicks, to use them to help others. Just like my ancestor, Mother Aurea, did before me. It was the Prayer of Purifying Binding that sealed away the ancient Orcish Devil God of war, and the Prayer of calming flow reverted the ruin he had inflicted on the land. Trace shrugged "Don't care. The bad guys have it now, and I don't care if we get it back. You said they can't read it, so ther's nothing to worry about. There is, however, a giant beholder trying to destroy everything I love. So you will pardon me if I ignore the sealed away Dub Ee. I can get ahold of Socott. He has experience with that crap." He was confused though. He had never heard of a paladin having to research a spell. They, like clerics, innately knew the spells that they were able to cast.

"Wea already have found all of the pieces, we just need to find Zobar. Our source tell us he is in a small Nakation village. So we need to find him, then convince him to join our cause."

They spent weeks just walking to the small village. When they finally arrived, all that was left were a few smoldering thatched roof cottages. Trace let out a curse in Dwarven. Ice just shook his head.
Trace looked around for any sign of life. "Now what?"

Apathie tillted her head back slightly "I hear them.....I hear the painful cries of all of them. They all died protecting their village!" She listened intensely. Being of the Bloodline of Mother Aurea, she had the ability to hear the passing thoughts of the recently deceased "The children are safely underground" She pointed to a pile of rubble "There, that building holds the underground area where they hid the children when he came!" She ran over and began to pick away at the large chunks of stone and wood
