__Part 37
"You're up early."
Oliver glanced over his shoulder and gave a noncommittal grunt.
"Excellent deduction, Captain Obvious."
Isaiah's mouth quirked in a repressed scowl and he sat down beside Oliver. It was a cool dawn, with the sun peeking golden and fretful over the horizon. It was pretty.
"Since when d'you watch the sunrise?"
"I do. Sometimes."
"Y'okay?"
Oliver gave Isaiah a slightly annoyed look.
"Why wouldn't I be?"
Iz shrugged, playing with the frayed pullstring on his hoodie.
"You just seem more belligerent than usual, that's all."
Oliver whacked Iz upside the head and turned his attention back to the sunrise.
"I was having a pleasant morning until you showed up," he said tartly. Iz couldn't repress the scowl this time.
"Fine. I came out to say good morning, you c**k. I was just trying to be, y'know, friends."
"Mn."
Iz got up in exasperation and went back inside. Oliver shrugged, and watched as the sun slipped a little higher into the sky.
