Teh Scatman WinNiEdApOoP [XxGuardianDevilxX] WinNiEdApOoP Its all South Park's fault. But personally I really like Canadians 3nodding . Lol, my friend was watching it on his PSP, and this is what I heard from across the room: "What can you tell us about Canada?" "Um......let me see ******** CANADA!" xd
That's funny in a show and all, but when someone says that in real life, that's when I get pissed domokun . 3nodding But it isn't only Canada, sometimes is Mexico too but even as a Mexican I don't feel offended. As I say "As long as if was made to make people laugh more than it was to offend them its ok to me" You know what? That is a very good attitude I agree. I'll make jokes with my friends here in America about Canadians, like with the "eh" at the end of sentences. But we only do it in a way to crack a joke, not to personally offend them. Plus, we have Canadian friends, some of which do use "eh" in their sentences. It's as simple as joking with a friend about a past event, like losing in a game against another. Not meant to offend, just something funny to joke about.

KumarKakarla So, about stereotypes. They do generally hold some truth in them. I for one can't stand most black people, but it's not because they're black. It's because they're loud and obnoxious. I actually do know a few black people that aren't loud and obnoxious, and I'm friends with those ones. I have to agree with you there, about stereotypes holding some truth. The stereotypes have to stem from something.

tickledpink6291 ummm...Canadians are stereotyped just like the rest of the humans on the world...Whether anyone likes it or not, there's always going to be some person who is going to detest a whole bunch of people that they don't even know just because they're different than them. I wouldn't consider stereotyping someone as a way to express dislike. Sometimes it is, but I stereotype Canadians and Americans, even (and I'm American), just for a good joke. Not to hurt someone. I don't detest anyone based on their race, religion, country they live in, anything. If they, as a person, acts in a way I don't like, then I'll detest them.thelovelyLIZ For me, it's just that it's Canada. Kinda like the comedic scapegoat. Much like Colin Mocharie, my favorite Canadin ever. surprised I love Colin. He's so bald. xd [XxGuardianDevilxX] forsakenkae I think stereo typing is mostly in good fun. Unless your an american, then you're just stupid! sweatdrop Now that right there, is also considered stereo-typing xd . XxGuardianDevilxX beat me to it.... sad purple richie Why do people in the united states call themselves american? Little geograp-hy class: America is the continent regrouping most of the countries on the West side of the earth. Canada, US, Mexico, Guatemala and other latin countries. So why does the US reserve themselves this term and blast canada and abuse economically of the latin american countries? And don't come saying that: Well United Statians is an ugly name. If you don't like your countries name, that's your problem, live with it..its not an excuse Ouch, that's a burn. I don't like being burned on like that. We don't call ourself "United Statesians" because that just sounds dumb. I'd rather be called American. We don't blast Canada, either. Some people might, but not the entire U.S. country itself. confused I personally like a lot of people from Canada, thank you. 3nodding

Canadians themselves stereotype Americans and if you look around the forums you find a great amount of criticism and stereotyping of Americans so it isn't really your right to complain.
