Orarion smirked and watched her. "No I do not think it is a crime." he said as they continued to walk. "If it is your nature. I don't think it is your nature. Don't you ever wonder what it is to feel tenderness. A gentle touch that does not turn rough?"
He raised an eyebrow and stopped, turning to face her. "Is there not a part of you that is curious to know how that would feel?"

Covet swallowed hard and a light blush washed over her cheeks as she unwittingly thought of Yaku's kiss. No matter how false it had been, the gentleness of it had surprised her. Stopping as he did, she kept her body facing away from him, though she turned her head slightly to look at him.
"You think you know me so well?" she challenged, arching her brow slightly as her gaze turned cool. She looked away and swallowed again, then turned to face him fully. "Of course there is," she finally admitted. It felt good to be completely honest for once. She had begun to bury those desires when she realized that Mecca would never truly understand her need and want of them. She had almost had herself convinced that she was now like him, only able to feel through pain. But the curiosity was still there. To know what it would feel like to kiss someone and have it returned just as deeply and softly as it had been given. To have one night where she would not have to awake to intense pain and see the damage that had been done to her body. Taking a deep breath, she did not move, but turned her head away from him.

Orarion nodded and took a ste towards her. lacing a gentle hand on her shoulder. "It's o.k to admit it Covet." He said softly. "I don't think people would think less of you. Though I must ask why? Why do you allow it, why do you stay? Are you too scared to leave him in persuit of true hapiness?"

Covet glanced down at the hand he placed on her shoulder, then looked back up at him. "I don't care what people think. I just don't want to hurt him again," she said softly, looking blankly down at his chest. "Besides... he has given me so much and who's to say that tenderness is worth it? If I turned my back on him again, he would not take me back," she said, turning her eyes up to his.

Orarion reached up to place his hand against her face. A gentle, friendly hand. Not intended to cause offence. "But if you found that tenderness. Who is to say the escape would not be worth it. Do you really want to spend your life giving so much of yourself and getting nothing back?"

Covet smirked a little as his hand slipped over her cheek and could feel it... the flame of the unknown that she was so powerfully attracted to. His closeness and words reminded her of a different time, a time that felt so long ago when she had been left alone in 'Veronica'.
"You make a good point," she said softly, keeping her eyes on his as she reached up to slip her hand over the one he held against her face. "But I am content for now. Without ever having experienced it, how can I be sure it is worth it? I could be losing a lot by crossing that line," she said, sliding her hand down his to his wrist and wrapping her fingers around it. "Are you going to be the one to tell me it's worth it?" she asked with a smirk as she pulled his hand away from her face. "And how can I believe you?"

"You don't have to believe me." he said. Smiling as she removed his hand. "Though I could show you. Show you what you are missing, what you are afraid of." He smiled. Inside getting irritated to her devotion to the sadistic moron he used to call a friend. He needed her out of the way. "Mecca need never know ... should you decide to return to his ways. Nor, even if you should decide to make your own life."

Now her heart was pounding. In so many ways his offer was much more dangerous than the ones Mecca had ever offered her. Her curiosity was beyond piqued. The offer to finally experience all the things she had heard Matador tell her about and seen others experience was beyond tempting.
"What harm could it do, right?" she smirked in a low voice, stepping closer to him and slipping a hand up along his face to his hair to pull him down so that his lips were near hers. She paused a moment to take in his handsome features, then leaned further so that her lips were near his ear.
"Plenty," she said softly, then pulled away to continue walking, opening her wings to stretch the nerves out.

Orarion smirked as her back was turned and stretched his own wings. This really had better be worth it. He had her and he knew it. The next time Mecca attempted his pitiful displays of affection she would be thinking of a better world.
"The offer is there, should you need it." He said with a charming smile. "I just want to help you."

Covet flicked her wings in acknowledgement of his offer and took a deep breath. She didn't need it. She was happy with Mecca. He had given her so much, gone out of his way to make her happy. She didn't need tenderness for affection. She was a big girl, she thought with a smirk as she rounded a bend and the cottage came into view. She could take care of herself in that department of her life. Still... she started then quickly shoved those thoughts away. She was happy. She didn't need anything else.

Mecca was walking up the path as he spotted Covet coming the other way towards the house. "Morning." He called giving her a smile as Scim charged past him to greet his mistress. Mecca's smile darkened as he spotted Orarion behind her.
Frowning a little he turned and stalked up towards the house.

"Morning," Covet smiled, rather happy to see he was in a relatively good mood and laughing a little as Scim charged up to her to bounce around her legs. Before bending to give the pup his desired attention, she caught the immediate darkening of Mecca's features and sighed a little as he stalked off without waiting for her and Orarion to join him. Glancing over her shoulder at the other male, she gave him a look, and called Scim as she took off after Mecca.
"Mecca, what's wrong?" she asked as she slipped into the house after him.

"Nothing is wrong." Mecca said irritably as he placed the bread and cheese he had brought her onto the counter. "You just go for a nice morning stroll with a dangerous person." he hissed stalking past her and waiting near the door with his arms folded.
Orarion smirked at Mecca as he walked through the door and looked at Covet as if he were proving a point. "Yes, I know. I'm going." he said stalking past him. "I will get my things and go and find a hotel in the port."

Covet sighed at his irritation and looked away from Orarion when he tried to exchange a look with her. She waited until he was upstairs, before approaching Mecca. "He's not any more dangerous than you," she said in a low voice, arching a brow. "But it doesn't matter. He's not our problem anymore. So just get over it," she smirked and turned away, her arms crossed in front of her as she walked away from him towards his study.

It was almost dark by the time Orarion had left. Mecca had spent most of the day working at the large table in the kitchen. Scimitar dozing on his lap.
Once he had finished sorting out the accounts for his shop he went into his study. Scim following close at his heel. "What did you mean by that?" He asked, leaning against the door frame. "He is no more dangerous than I?"
