Crim knocked Kat out of the way and she stumbled back a few steps as a result. Crim was already rushing past her, playing the hero and taking out the guards with a bit of gunplay.
Kat watched Crim in an oddly calm manner, casually sidestepping a stray bullet while looking on with an amused smile. Odd streak of chivalry in Crim. All the times she'd proven to be better in a gunfight than him, and he still felt the need the need to "protect" her. Part of her wanted to berate him for that, but she honestly thought she was more touched than anything.
As he ran past down the stairs, she commented though.
"You know, you're the one who's been shot 2 times in 2 days, not me."

"You'll have to tell me your secret sometime!" he said with a smirk, running further. After much less resistance on the way further down the two had made it to the the 6th floor flight of stairs, directly above the door which would lead into the armory on the 5th.
He crouched, peering around the railing. "Alright, I can see the 5th floor door. I think the armory is..." his words were soon cut short by an almost deafening siren, followed by the typical repetitive beep you'd expect from the alarm system of a military base. The alarm had been set off and announcements were made for all guards to be enter alert formation and for all scientists and other personnel to head to designated safe areas. "... well guarded." he looked at Kat, flicking out the ammo cylinder of the mangum in his hand and noticed most of his bullets were gone. "I assume you have a fair share of bullets in there?" he said, slightly nodding his head to her chest area and reaching out his hand.

((I so just realized she has a shotgun now, not the magnum I thought she had a few posts back. >.> Hurray for continuity.))
Kat raised her eyebrow at the comment, but pulled out a good supply of bullets for Crim.
"The guards are what make this fun though!" Kat said, peeking down to check out the door. "You think they're gonna come out here, or should we go in and meet them?"

Crim` slipped the bullets into the cylinder one by one, placing it back in line and examining it. "Ever look into quickloaders?" he asked. He shook his head and smirked. "Anyway, how about you bust in the way I know you love to... and I'll follow. It's been a while since I've seen that shotgun in action, not being used against me." Crim` looked up at her, smiling a bit. He clearly wasn't fond of the idea of being put in Kata's line of fire.

"Considered it, then decided if I wasted 12 bullets I was clearly doing something wrong." She replied, sliding around Crim on the stairs and leading the way down until she stood in front of the door. "Quickloaders just seemed like an excuse for sloppy work."
Kat looked the door over critically for a few seconds before deciding that the guards clearly weren't coming out to play. She leaned forward, one cat ear resting against the door. Well, it would seem there was at least a couple of guards in the room. Unfortunately, the door also seemed well enforced, a steel door with a keypad to open it. Not within her capability to break down. No matter.
"Crim, would you test your new arm out for me, and break down this door?" She said with a smile, moving to the side of the door. She expected him to just break the door and move out of her way. Putting him in the line of fire wasn't her goal, but any attempt she made to break it would definitely lose the element of surprise.

"Yeah, never know when it'd come in handy though... You should alternatively learn how to reload from your cleavage though... Mid flip... That'd be useful." he said, referencing some anime he had caught a glimpse of.
Crim` sighed. "I guess I've got no choice then, stand back." he said, standing and walking toward the door. He tossed the gun into his left hand and removed his glove, then stretched his right arm out to his side a bit. He closed his eyes, concentrating, this would be the first time with the new arm and it'd take a few seconds to get a feel for it.
He concentrated still, after about 20 seconds he opened his eyes, the hand taking on a glow and his arm's skin changing and opening various small exhaust ports that looked like indentations, ofcourse, this wasn't easily seen through his jacket. He took a few steps back then ran at the door, hitting it square in the middle of it with his opened right hand. At the instant the door was blown off it's hinges as the energy built within the prostetic was released from the exhaust ports in his hand, excess energy drifting off from his forearm up to his shoulder, causing his red jacket's right sleeve to swell up a bit under the pressure until the energy dissipated and eh allowed his arm to return to normal.
"Hmph, that felt better than it used to..."

He stepped out of the library into the streets of Aekea. The wounds on his arm and leg seemed to have stopped bleeding, though it was still painful. The sounds of raging battle could still be heard inside. "Maybe we ought to get a bit further away before you heal me, I don't think that this structure is going to last much longer with those two carrying on the way they are."

((Oh wow, there's fun continuity. XD I pray these two groups of people never cross.))
Kat didn't spare Crim a glance as he broke the door down, instantly blasting a guard with her shotgun, who had been standing beside the door when it went down. She quickly stepped through the door and blasted a guard on the other side of the door. Quickly after disposing of the guards at the door, she was scanning the room for more.

(( TIME PARADOX))  Crim` blinked. Wow, she was really going off on these guys... This definitely was some R rated stuff. Suddenly, more guards ran in! With razors and tasers! This isn't going to be pretty...

Kat was off on the guards in a heartbeat. With a dive and a roll, she was at the feet of the first guard. The shotgun ripped through him, and Kat was on her feet by the time he fell, taking out the guy beside him.
A shot flew past Kat, and the girl darted behind a steel box nearby. Hopefully, there was nothing explosive in there, Kat thought as a few more shots dinged off the box. A quick peek out told her what she needed to know. Three guards still standing, all facing the steel box in a semi circle. That was doable.
Kat dashed out of her cover, flying past the bullets to end beside one of the guys on the end. He turned to face her, and Kat's knee jerked up to nail him in the crotch. The man dropped his gun and grabbed his nether regions, falling into Kat. Shooting around the man, Kat quickly dispatched of the center man before knocking the first one out with the butt of her gun.
As the first man fell to the ground, the third stared at her. Kat smiled at the man sweetly, standing over his fallen comrades. Shaking, the man lifted his gun and fired at her, a bullet which she quickly sidestepped before taking him down with her shotgun.
Blowing a strand of hair from her face, she called out to Crim.
"All clear, sweety. Sorry for stealing your move."

Crim stepped in with a whistle, looking around and stepping over a corpse. He had witnessed the whole feat from the other side of the door and looked a bit surprised. "Well I gotta say... You look a helluva lot better doing it than I do." he replied as he slid his black glove back onto his right hand, his arm having transformed back to normal. He stood there, looking over to a case lined with guns on the wall. "Hm, that'll do." he said, walking over to it and running his fingers over the glass casing.
He looked down at the revolver in his hand, flipping it and catching it by it's barrel. Crim hit the glass casing, breaking it with the gun's handle. He tilted his head and looked back at Kata with a smile. "Thanks for the loaner but you can have this back..." he said, raising to the side of his face the large revolver Kata had lent him earlier. He tossed it to her and grabbed a silver .45 pistol, examining it in the dim lighting of the armory. "This works."

Kelwyn studied his face for a moment, but he seemed to be doing fine. "Alright, is there an inn or something nearby we could go to?"

He looked around at he surrounding buildings briefly before nodding. "I recall seeing one in the map book I was looking at. It should be just down the street about a half mile from here. I should be alright till then." He smiled at her and bowed as he streched out his arm for her to go first heading south.

Kelwyn started in the direction he indicated until she saw a large building in quite a bit of disrepair. "I guess they don't get a lot of visitors here," she remarked, noting the peeling paint. Half-expecting it to be unoccupied, she was a bit surprised to see a robot manning the registration desk.
"Hello," she began as she entered the lobby, "I'd like two rooms please."
"Very well, sign in here please," the mechanical voice replied. "That will be 40 gold."
The elven woman signed her name on the dusty registry, then handed over the requested currency. Taking the keys from the robotic clerk, she then turned and handed one over to Migy. "Come on, lets get you patched up, shall we?"

He nodded and walked up the stairs. They seemed to groan and creek under his weight as he walked up. Finding the room marked on his key, he opened the door and stepped in. He had to duck through the doorway. He noticed a door that seemed to connect to the room next door as he sat down on the bed. He slid off his yukata showing a scabbed over hole going through his arm, as well a series of scars along his right arm that appeared to be burn marks.
