DeGei Dukes DeGei Dukes DeGei KingShoy Capcom has done the same thing with Megaman. They're going on 25 Years. Sega is still using Sonic. Nintendo has Mario. If you've got a winning formula, why change it? That's like taking Christmas and saying: "Sorry, No more Jesus or Santa. We give you, TURBO TERMINATOR X. For Christmas, you no longer give gifts to each other, you buy them to sediate yourself for annihlation. :3" With that attitude, we wouldnt have Mario 64, Sonic&Knuckles, or that Megaman game with Tron Bonne. Which also could lead to no Super Smash brothers as taking the characters out of the original games would be blasphemy in your scenario. Changing things can be good as long as the basics are true to the original, Im not making Shadow the Hedgehog out of the original Sonic here, Im making Ocarina of Time out of the original Legend of Zelda. No... you're really much more making Shadow out of Sonic than Ocarina out of Zelda. You're DRASTICALLY changing things, same as Shadow did with the Sonic franchise.
Shadow changed the feel of the game from a speed platformer, to a shooter. Ocarina took Zelda basics and expanded into a 3D world. Im not entirely remaking the Sniper game, Im working with the basics and mixing and matching them to a new setup and adding in natural expansions to that. No.. you're taking the idea of a game with a killer and people finding the killers, that' it, tossing out the rest of what makes the sniper game, and pushing other junk in. It won't be the sniper game anymore.
What makes the sniper game the Sniper Game in your opinion? The game itself.
Look... I am too tired to answer this properly... and just now have important things on my mind.
I'll be blunt, the only useful thing I see resulting from this is that it is reminding the SGers of what the Sniper Game is all about.

What I thought made the Sniper Game what it is, and still makes it what it is are the players and how they adapt to the roles they take, their interactions, their tricks. Maybe Im wrong though.

... DeGei... If you still have only eleven people who have signed up so far, that means you have gotten a grand total of 0.92 people per day. At this rate it will take you over 1/5th of a year to obtain the people necessary to run your "tests." Honestly, just give it up. It can't possibly be worth it.

Dukes, you don't own the guild, so it's not really your place to say when he should end it.

Notice, this is the last push backs for test signups. (12/03/06) Im really sorry that people wont have an open mind about this and wont even give it a chance. I apologize to the 13 or so people who have signed up and thank you. If I dont have at least 48 players signed up by the date, Im giving up. That is all. emo

Egotistical Moose I'm sorry, but isn't this causing enough drama already? neutral What drama could it possibly cause? It was accepted as a good idea at first until three or four people started bitching about it
