The naiad awoke as a rather large raindrop landed on her forehead. She sat up quickly, coughing and choking on the lack of oxygen; Belisma was unsure how long she had been passed out, but it was long enough for the lifespan of her amulet to wain once again and the naiad shimmied to the water in a desperate struggle for her life. She made it partway into the water, panting heavily as the waves washed over her gills.

Serefina's quiet musings were interrupted not only by the arrival of the sudden rain, but by an odd sound by the coastline. She was quick to return her small purple plushie to its hiding place. Perhaps it wasn't real, but it was the closest thing she'd seen to another Naiad in more time than she cared to remember. Stashing the plushie gently in its tree trunk 'home,' she covered the opening with large waxy leaves to keep the rain out and turned, glancing back towards the water line.
Coughing?
The mere possibility of meeting another living being after so many months of loneliness was more than enough to spur the poor Naiad to push her seldom-used legs to carry her quickly across the sand.
Imagine her surprise at what she found on the beach.
Eyes wide, she stared in momentary disbelief at the indigo form in the sands before hurrying over to check on her bretheren. "Miss? Are you...okay?" She practically fell to her knees in her rush to check on the other female. Another Naiad...she could hardly believe it, but she would never have mistaken another of her kind, pendant or no. The waves washed up and around her legs as she fussed over the other. Strange things those legs.
She had no idea how long the other had been out of the water, but she prepared to drag the dark female out into the shallows herself if necessary.

Hula Bob looked beyond the sand. He sighed and began to look for anything out of place on his beach. He knew it like the back of his hand. If anything was odd he would know it right away.
Hula Bob wasn't sure where to begin, so he just walked up the beach past his house and the bar. There wasn't anything around them, or else he should have noticed it.

Hula Bob kept walking along the beach. Going back and forth from the lake to where the sand ends. He soon came close to Wap'lei Marsh. "Well, that's where this dude turns around."

Hula Bob made it back to his home. "Well, nothing here I know." Still he kept his eyes peeled as he past it.
Next he past Jazz and Rain's tiki hut. He looked around a bit as he went on past it.

Hula Bob kept walking again from the sand to the lake. He really wasnt' finding anything helpful or useful.
He then made it to the end of this beach. "I guess I should take a swim or surf."

It was late, the moon hanging high in the sky and the sun long gone to sleep. Waves lapped gently at the sand and trees rustled quietly in the breeze.
Ceri stumbled somewhat unsteadily along the sand, leaving uneven footprints in her wake. She was headed towards the last place she had seen her love - their home. But it had been so long...
I hope he's still there...
Her eyes peered through the darkness, searching for anyone. Well, someone in particular.

immortalmina Hula Bob had been surfing. It had been a nice long surf. He always felt at peace and at home there on the water. He knew that's one of the things that kept him there. Of course he always felt bad about his not leaving-ness. He didn't meet that many others and he couldn't find Ceri or their son and daughter. Luckily Luau LuLu found the other daugther.
Hula Bob picked up his board to put it away when he thought he saw something or someone. He blinked under his sunglasses. He didn't belive who is eyes thought they saw.

Ceri continued along, turning randomly, as though the panoramic view would help.
But then..
Could it be? There, stock still holding a surf board.
Well, who else would it be?
She thought, amused at her loves single mindedness. He hadn't changed in that respect then. Unsure of what to do, Ceri decided a wave was adequate until her brain started working again. After all, what is the protocal for meeting your lost mate when you disappeared for years.

Hula Bob saw the wave. He looked around himself to make sure the illusion was waveing to him. Then again who else would it wave to. Was his mind gone or was that really her? He had thought he'd seen his lost love many times, never to truely be her.
Hula Bob took a deep breath and walked over to the elder. "Aloha?"

He came over. He looked wonderful; like home.
Oh God.
Now what? What could she say? Hello, guess who's back! Ceri mentally cursed. What was she thinking coming here without a plan! She had nothing to say. No explaination. Nothing.
"Hi..."
Okay, so maybe there was somthing to say. She shuffled nervously, looking around and refusing to meet Hula Bob's gaze. She dreaded what she would see there.

Hula Bob wasn't sure what to say either. That she was a great grandma now? That Luau Lulu found Kaelia in a cave but she's safe now? That he felt back he couldn't find her if she was in trouble?
"Awesome to see you beach bunny." Hula Bob finally said with a smile like he always had. He was happy to see her, though his mind did wonder why she was back, how she was back, where she went and was she staying.

Ceri's face broke out in a grin. There was no one in this world as wonderful as her love.
"It's so good to see you too. I've missed you so much."
Briefly letting go of her inhibitions, and ignoring the little voice in her mind screaming at her that he must have moved on - that she couldn't know if he even loved her anymore, and lurched forwards to embrace him.
"I'm so sorry. So so sorry."
I just can't believe I'm back.
((And I'm afraid that's all I can do tonight. Sleep awaits xd Pick it up tomorrow?))

Hula Bob hugged her back. "It's okay. I'm sorry too." He was. If something had happened to her he couldn't have helped her. Even the worry free pae had thought about that. Still, he had hoped she was on and elder mission and just couldn't come home. Though, he never saw Jazz go on one.

Silence reigned for a few moments as Ceri searched for somthing to say. She had a million questions, but nothing to say. She pulled back, but sisn't release Hula Bob from her embrace.
"... how have you been?"
It was as if this question opened the flood gates.
"What happend while I was gone? How are my babies? Where are my babies? Do you still love me? Did you move on? Oh god, you're not married are you?"
That idea halted the flood. What if he was? What if she had lost her love?
