Myes, Sigurd's horse made things a bit easier. :3 Poor guy, though... ruined marriage, and all. :/
xD Celice is cute, yes, but... I think Sigurd's a bit more... I dunno. o.o Charming? xD

I've played Fire Emblems 7 through 9. Here is a list of the lords in order of best to worst in my opinion.
Ike- his ability to hit hard, move fast, dodge, and crit often makes him the best lord that I've seen.
Lyn- her quick hits, tons of crits, and ability to use a bow after her class change ranks her up there with Ike, but her lower strength makes me like her a bit less.
Ephram- he just tears through everyone you put infront of him, but he is overshadowed by other more powerful units.
Eliwood- I didn't like him much, but I used him more often then Hector.
Hector- he can't hit anything with his low accuracy. I don't care how good you are, if you can't hit anything it doesn't matter.
Erica- I only used her when it was absolutely nessessary, which was almost never. She really irritated me.

Lyn's lowered STR isn't that awful. She still does a massive amount of damage. Almost more so than Eliwood.

I'd have to say Ike. If you get him to his highest level and give him that kick-butt sword (I can't remember the name of it but it's the one that never runs out) and he will destroy anything in his past. I actually had to stop using him in levels cuz he would kill everyone and then no one else would get experience.

Lyndis is arguably one of the best Lords in the series due to her high evasion and critical rate. Hector is a powerhouse and usually pwns any units that attacks him. Ephraim is also a powerhouse since I have once seen him get 3 or 4 critical in a row with an Steel Lance! Meh I don't like Eliwood too much since his growth rate was horrible for me and enemies also ended up killing him. Same thing happened to me with Roy and Erika kinda reminds me of Eliwood since her growth rate is similar to Eliwood. So yeah Lyndis, Hector and Ephraim are my favorite Lords! I haven't played Fire Emblem 9 or 10 due to me not having a Wii!

It's hilarious to see all the puny soldiers get mowed down by Hector.

(And here I thought I'd posted in this earlier...)
1. Ike--This guy is BROKE. He fights for his friends in every sense of the word--if he fights, they don't have to! ...Well, okay, he's killable early on in the game, but by Endgame, it took three Fire Dragons, Ashnard, and Murphy's Law to bring Ike down in PoR. Plus, he's a decent character.
2. Hector--Ridiculously strong. I personally don't have very big problems with accuracy later on in the game. He's like a General, but will probably get more speed, and he's already got more movement. Plus, I like Generals. They're the AT-ATs of Fire Emblem. Character-wise, I think Hector wins as well, but frankly, Ike's broke, so... here he stands.
3. Ephraim--He's not a bad character in a cast full of lousy characters. On top of that, like Hector, he's a powerhouse, but perhaps more accurate. Too bad he has such a miserable excuse for a sister, though.
4. Eliwood--I was debating between him and Lyn, but I don't think Eliwood's that bad. He just gets a bad rep for promoting so darn late and sometimes getting RNG screw'd. I've seen an Eliwood that got beat by an axefighter in the arena (two hits at 25%), but I've also seen a badass Eliwood the last time I finished. Plus, Eliwood at least has some defense, unlike Lyn.
5. Lyn--Okay, I think she and Eliwood are decent characters and all, but... to me, criticals and fancy movements around the screen are no match for 28 Defense and a good sturdy axe or lance at your side. Besides, once the Mani Katti breaks or loses most of its uses, then what? All she can wield without losing 5+ speed is an Iron Sword, for goodness' sakes! Lame. Oh well, at least she's the first Lord who can promote. Oh yes, and if she gets hit just once or twice, she's screwed.
6. Roy--Like Eliwood, and he's really not bad when he promotes. Trouble is, by the time he DOES promote, the game's almost over. >_> Until then, he eventually just becomes a burden. Why can't you be a sensible general and let your army handle the fighting? gonk
7. Eirika--Die. Die. Die. Please. You're lucky you're a lord and that I don't have the heart to purposely kill any units. You've got "Mary Sue in Lord form" written all over you, and your stats suck. That and you've given fanfiction writers the "Seth/Eirika" curse enough to make me heartily sick of the whole "Princess and her knight" pairings. I hope you're happy! D=
EDIT: Oh, and sk8er, FE9's on Gamecube, not Wii. I think I've seen it in stores while looking around for other stuff. I don't know how much longer places like Gamestop will still sell Gamecube stuff, though...

I cannot choose between Hector and Eliwood once again.
Hector's exceptional defense and offense make him the best to tank against any units. The only time I've ever seen this guy get hit is occisionally by mages, and next turn, they'd be dead anyway. To put the icing on the cake, he has the use of the most powerful axe: Armads. This thing decimates both Nergal and the Dragon, and it makes Ostia's Lord a very valuable part of Eliwood's team.
Both Eliwoods that I ended up raising (on Eliwood and Hector normal mode) ended up being fairly balanced, and through some mild arena abuse, Eliwood got some awesome speed. Although lacking in strength, this redhead can dodge like crazy, and even if two stroke don't finish the enemy, that highly accurate third stroke you get next turn will. smile His final good quality is the same as Hector's: the legendary weapon Durandal. I could not beat the dragon and/or Nergal without this sword, and the fact that someone accurate like Eliwood can wield it just makes it ever more awesome. It's a shame I never saw him critical with it too.
Another note, since Hector and Eliwood can support so easily with each other, it makes them both a great pair with those bonuses.

Does everyone forget Micaiah? As the heroine of the first part of FE10, shouldn't she count for this contest also? Although I admit that she could never win, she still should be given some credit, being so pivotal to that entire game.
Ike is simply amazing in FE9. I laugh whenever a unit chooses to attack Ike over any other unit. He is just untouchable. Add in Aether, and he cannot lose. I would like to see any other lord actually take a hit from Aether without losing all hope of winning. He does massive damage, and then heals most of his life back. And then he has Ragnell, so he has more defense AND a ranged attack. They made this guy to destroy. Not to win, but to destroy.

Ike. He's simply the best. I maxed out nearly every stat on him...and Aether is excellent. Not to mention I find a non-breakable weapon rather convenient.
Ephraim was a monster. Eirika was untouchable, but her Strength was a bit lacking...as was her defense.
I'm not able to form an opinion for FE 7 yet, though.

You'll get it when you fight the Black Knight. [Ike's actually had it since his father died, but...] It's great because you get to use it in the last few chapters and the maps. Not to mention it's a 1-2 Range weapon.
