When getting to the other side, Orrin clung to her for a little long until he felt her put her arms around him and rub his back. His pale cheeks turned bright red as he jumped back suddenly. "S-sorry about that... I've never gone through a wall before..." He stared at her for a moment before looking at the wall. Did she have some sort of magic? She said she wasn't a witch but maybe she could be some other magical person. And she was too solid to be a ghost. Orrin rubbed his cheeks. "I didn't mean to grab onto you like that."

Clayr blushed in return, smiling. She reached out and clasped his hand, tugging him behind her, nothing needing to be said (in the proverbial sense, obviously) about the incident. She hauled him behind her to a door in the wall, pushing it open and peeking inside. Crow was still asleep in the chair, where she'd left him. She turned to face Orrin, putting a finger to her lips, motioning him to stay quiet, then pushed into the room, gently.

Orrin moved with her, still trying to figure out the wall thing. When she opened the door, he peeked inside. Who was the guy? Orrin was about to ask when he saw Clayr put her finger to her lips. So he just nodded then, as quietly as he could, he followed her inside.

She moved across the room and kneeled down beside the chair, gently tugging on Crow's sleeve, trying to wake him up.
Crow groaned lazily, and his gold eyes flicked open. At first, vision still unfocused, he smiled sappily at Clayr. When he caught sight of Orrin out of the corner of his eye, he jumped, shouting, "Oh, Jesus ... Clayr, sweetie ... " He noticed the calm, placated look on her face, and became even more confused, staring at Orrin blankly. "Err, uhh ... Clayr, wazzat?"

Orrin jumped when the guy did, bumping back against the wall. He knew he should have been prepared for that but Orrin never seemed prepared for anything. Fixing his glasses, which had been knocked askew, he looked between the guy and Clayr. "Uh...hi," he said a bit nervously.

Crow blinked, looking back and forth between Clayr and Orrin. He removed his hat, which had been setting askew on his head and ran a hand through his magenta hair. "Ummm, hi. You ... you didn't do something to her, did you? She ... she's never ... where did you come from?"
He titlted his head, still confused. Clayr just bringing a complet stranger into their new home? Even letting a stranger see her? Completely bizarre.

Orrin couldn't help but gape when he had asked his first question. "I'd never do anything to anyone! Hurting people is so wrong, mentally, physically or whatever." He then blinked at the next question. "I came from downstairs? Er, well, I was walking and got tired and saw this house. I didn't think anyone was here because I knocked and no one answered. Then me and Clayr scared each other when I opened the door to look. I didn't mean to scare her, really." Orrin hoped the guy wouldn't kick him out or anything suddenly. He would certainly leave if he had to.

Crow blinked again, astounded. After a moment, he shook his head, mumbling sheepishly, "Ye gods, I'm being so rude. I'm sorry." He stood up, holding out a hand, smiling awkwardly. "It's just ... Clayr's usually afraid of everything and everyone, except me. And we don't see many outsiders. I'm Crow."

Orrin took his hand and smiled, now feeling a bit more relaxed. He was normally more outgoing but the house sort of threw him off. "I'm Orrin. Wait... You're Crow? I thought Crow was a dog." He blinked at him then blushed a little. "I mean, I just assumed since Clayr said you protected the place." He then looked at her and back. "Well, I'm as friendly as a pup, really. Maybe she's not afraid of me because I'm so awkward? I did kinda squeal and fall over when she first saw me..."

Crow grinned and squeezed his hand in a friendly way, before releasing him and sitting back down. "Maybe. I've never seen her warm up o any person before. Usually just animals." He laid a hand on her head gently and she blushed brightly, looking down at her feet and grinning. "I doin' protect this place so much as her. This little girl and I have been looking out for eachother upwards of three years now."

Orrin looked at Clayr again and smiled. He was glad that she had thought him friendly. "Oh really? That's a long time to know someone. How did you two meet?" He had never had someone to be with for any amount of time, much less three years.
((I know which lolita Clayr is but what kind is Crow?))

((A Louis, from the Halloween. Yeah, I've still yet to get them. sweatdrop ))
"In the circus, actually," Crow said, softly, grinning lopsidedly, "I was an acrobat, and an illusionist, a little bit of everything. The ringleader ... ah, "aquired" Clayr somehow. I've never been able to figure it out. She doesn't remember, and he didn't want to talk about it. Obviously there must have been something special involved, considering our little girl's talents." He smiled down at her fondly, before continuing. "About six months after that, we escaped. Never looked back. I was the only one who could get her to respond to anything, or ea. She's never been able to speak, but we communicate allright. Don't we gorgeous?"
Clayr seemed withdrawn and thoughtful during the story, but when she was addressed, she turned her head up, smiling brightly, first at Cro, then at Orrin.

Orrin stayed quiet as he listened, finding the little bit of history to be interesting. He had seen circuses before and had even thought of joining one just for the sake of entertaining children. "Talents? So she could walk through walls back then too?," he asked curiously, now wondering if she could do other magical sorts of things. "How come you two ran away? Was it not that good to be in a circus?"

He smiled, lightly, watching Clayr as she padded over to the window seat to watch the rain and shook his head, gently.
"No, not this one. We weren't treated very well. We were more like the animals than the acts. But we didn't have any other place to go. Clayr because ... well, I've never been able to figure out why. And me ... well, for obvious reasons."
He smiled, holding up his blue-tinted porceline hands, golden eyes shining with the warmth of his expression.

Orrin looked back at Clayr, now curious about her past. Of course, she didn't know and even if she did, Orrin wouldn't ask her to write it all down. He then looked back to Crow. "That's terrible to hear. I had no idea some circuses were like that." He squinted a little at Crow, now really noticing the different skin tone. "That's an interesting look you've got there, if you don't mind me staying. Everyone always thought my skin was a little odd but... I dunno; you're looks pretty nifty to me. Is it naturally that way?"
