The flesh being eaten away does lend credence to the leprosy theory. However, how does one explain the loss of his memory? Leprosy doesn't affect the mind, but syphilis especially when it's about run its course, does.

rouroken Stop treating me like an idiot! i know its not the real ending! Watsuki shoud of had a say in the OVA's! scream Yeah. Watsuki-Sensei even said that he would rather have happy endings than sad endings...

actually the real ending is when they come back (everyone in rk) for a pinic. it was in manga. plus also there another manga about yahiko about him.
"Kenshin eventually becomes ravaged by an unknown disease that is much like leprosy"(wikepedia") exclaim
kauro was kind of stupi to want to be infected..
'Kaoru convinces Kenshin to infect her with the disease through sexual intercourse(wikipedia)'
if they going to make a second rk, yahiko goign to be the main character.
but i hate the ending no matter what....damn them twisted scream

Tasha21 That's true that's why I didn't like the ending because all main characters in any movie should live happily ever after. I know, I just LOVE fairy tale endings. me too

NewtypeS3 rouroken I know thats not the real ending. im just asking why did the stupid producers killed them both off. Honestly, I'm thinking it's because the producers of the OAVs and Movies were pretty much convinced of the 'what goes around, comes around' idea - Kenshin was a murderer in his past, so he doesn't deserve to be happy, no matter what. Of course, I think it's a load of BS, but that's why we've got the actual ending. ya i agree i mean the producers have there own minds but they should make it along the storylines of wut watsuki makes it they should show that kaoru and kenshin have kenji and then they all live happily

Sugoi Shoujo santannamoss rouroken In the final ruroken movie, they kill off kenshin and kauru. What is up with that? who kills them? i only have read the series by watsuki they be all old and such... and get AIDS or something. at least i thought it was AIDS.... wow i wonder which one had aids
