If you answered yes, you're obviously a prude. Otherwise, you'd recognize that most of the stuff you'd get from reading other people's minds is stuff you'd be better off not knowing.

We should install flux capacitors in all cars, and set them to automatically time jump 20 minutes into the future upon hitting 88 mph. What better way to piss off speeders than by making them lose time?
This would totally eliminate the need for highway law enforcement, more than compensating for the cost it'd take to install one in every car. It'll be a revolution in speed control!

If meteorologists say it will be a sunny day outside, but I look out the window and see pouring rain, should I bring an umbrella? After all, they're experts with advanced degrees, who have scientifically measured the weather patterns and formed reliable predictions based on them. Who am I to say they're wrong? How do I know that my perception isn't faulty; that I'm not simply hallucinating the rain? How do I know that the wetness I feel isn't a hallucination as well? How do I know that the rain isn't simply an optical illusion? Can I prove that it's actually raining out, and not simply in my head?
I think I'll leave the umbrella indoors.

Jimmy writes a post. After a period of time, it becomes the most viewed post on Gaia. Upon learning this, Jimmy edits his post to reflect that it's the most viewed post on Gaia. He also links to it, as does everyone else.
Eventually, his post is the most viewed on the internet. He again edits it to reflect it. Millions visit every day to see what the most viewed post on the internet looks like. The thing is, they're not seeing the post. The post disappeared months before. All that's left is an image to be upheld.
