[p.36] MargemianCougar "Well, in that case...." She takes a look at her hand before laying down a pair of 7's. "Mr. Ponworxz, do you have any tens?" ((Ooc: Yeh, we are. I had, to begin with, two 7s, a 9, the King of hearts, the Queen of hearts, an Ace, and a 10.))Mr.Ponworxz "Dangnamnit! You read my mind!" He says as he passes the 10 to her. MargemianCougar The grey-eyed Mystic lays the pair down before glaring at him. "I'll have you know that I don't use my psychic powers when I am playing a game or anything like that," she says evenly, "If you doubt that, well... Then you're off." She turns back to her cards, debating what card to ask Mr. Ponworxz if he has it. Mr.Ownage The elf laughed at the petty arguement. "It think he was joking." he says, still unable to control his laughter. MargemianCougar She shrugs, "Maybe...." After a second, she asks, "Mr. Ponworxz, do you have a Nine?" Mr.Ownage Mr. Ownage laughs, wondering why it was so hard for Margem to accecpt that Mr. Ponworxz had been joking. Mr.Ponworxz The demon laughs. "No I do not have a nine!" He says as he asks Margem if she has any kings. MargemianCougar Margem picks up a 5 before sighing, "Yes, I do, Mr. Ponworxz." She hands him the King that she has before telling him to go again. Mr.Ownage "You two seem like a regular trading post," the elf says, laughing, "You gave her a card and she gave you a card." MargemianCougar Margem shakes her head as she smiles and says, "You know, you're next. We're not going to let you get rid of cards, you know." She laughs, shaking her head still, "Of course we'd let you in the game. Why wouldn't we?" Mr.Ownage The elf laughs, "And what makes you so sure you can stop me? Neither of you know which cards I have, and I am hiding my thoughts so you will not be finding out that way." MargemianCougar The redhead looks over to him, waiting for Mr. Ponworxz to ask someone again for a card, as she says, "Like I said earlier, I wouldn't cheat by reading someone's thoughts while I'm playing a game." Mr.Ownage "I trust you," the elf says. He decides he should lighten the mood a little and jokingly adds, motioning to Mr. Ponworxz, "However, I have my doubts about him." MargemianCougar Margem laughs, turning to the ninja-demon, "It's still your turn, Mr. Ponworxz." Mr.Ownage "I wonder what he is thinking about," the elf says, sounding slightly puzzled, "Obviously not the game." {end of p.36}

[p.37] Mr.Ponworxz "Wha..?" He says as he looks up to his friends. "Sorry, thinking of a lost loved one." MargemianCougar She lifts her grey eyes to the demon-man across the table from her, "I'm sorry to hear that, Mr. Ponworxz. As Mr. Ownage knows, I have dealt with a similar problem somewhat recently, within the past ten years. However, he is gone and I am able to accept that." Mr.Ownage "And as Margem knows I also have," the elf replies, "Not as recently, but my emotional wounds heal as slowly as I age. Just a downside of being an elf." MargemianCougar The gray-eyed Mystic shakes her head, "It's not just for elves, Mr. Ownage. All beings have problems with healing with such issues. I have known a few that are prime examples with this one, trust me." She reminds their companion who sits with them, "Mr. Ponworxz, it's still your turn." Mr.Ownage "However," the elf reimnds her, "Remember that it has been about a hundred years since it happened. I have accepted that she will not be coming back, but it is still painful." It was then that the elf realized how much stronger his feelings for Margem were than his feelings for her sister had bee. He would probably kill himself if the same thing happened to her that had happened to Arelen. MargemianCougar She folds her cards and lays them on the table so she can turn to the elf. "I know this, Mr. Ownage. I'm just saying that all beings can have a hard time accepting such a thing." She sighs before laying her right hand on his left arm (which is closest to her) and saying, "However painful it may be, you must go through with it, dealing with it as it is, and eventually let her go." Mr.Ownage "Thank you," the elf replies quietly. How, after all his thinking about it, did she still not know that he loved her? MargemianCougar She smiles gently, nodding, "You're welcome, friend." Picking up her cards, she says again, "Now, Mr. Ponworxz, shall we continue the game or is it bedtime?" Mr.Ownage "I think he might have been letting us finish talking." The elf says. He had done that outside when Margem and Mr. Ponworxz had been talking. Mr.Ponworxz "I'm sorry, I don't think this is the right time to play cards" He says as he walks up to his room. MargemianCougar The redhead nods before saying, "Good night, Mr. Ponworxz." She then turns to the elf by her, yawning, "I'm sorry to say this, but I'm getting a bit tired too. Shall we say good night, then, Mr. Ownage?" Mr.Ownage "That sounds like a good idea," he says looking at the clock. It reads 11:00. How had it been so long? It was only around 1:00 when he arrived. MargemianCougar Margem Okalwa yawns, stretching her arms above her head before she settles down. Starting to get tired again, Sanyu telling her why, she smiles gently to the elf, "Good night, Mr. Ownage. Sleep well tonight." She waits for his response, not wanting to seem rude by leaving without his response. {End of p.37}

[P.38] Mr.Ownage "You too," he says, resisting the urge to lean in and kiss her on the cheek. This was neither the time nor the place for him to reviel* his love for her. (OOC:*I can never remember how to spell this. It's probably wrong right now.) MargemianCougar Margem nods, smiling, before turning towards her room. Yawning, she knows that if she doesn't get sleep soon, she'd be more exhausted in the morning. With the use of her keycard, she enters her room, closing the door behind her. She walks over to her bed and climbs in, asleep almost instantly. ((Ooc: "reveal" is the correct way to spell it.))Mr.Ownage Darian walks to his room and opens the door, using a similar keycard. Walking he he pauses to take it all in. It was spacious, which was good. He was not against staying in a small room if he had to but years of travelling had caused him to prefer more open rooms. Mr.Ponworxz The demon walks out of his room and goes outside for a walk. "Why..?" He says to him self. Mr.Ownage The elf tosses and turns in his sleep. He is not seeing the future, but he is plagued by the faces of those he has killed. MargemianCougar Margem, still asleep, feels something different around her. Something's not right, though she has no idea what could be wrong. Could it just be a fluke or something? She has no idea. Mr.Ownage A new face flashes before the elf's eyes. A fifteen year old with piercing red eyes stands behind Margem laughing with a forest to his back. MargemianCougar The redhead Okalwa turns over onto her side, still asleep. She frowns as she tries to figure out what might be wrong. It is no fluke, for sure. Something's wrong, but she cannot tell what it may be. Mr.Ownage The elf awakes with a start. Who is that red eyed boy and why is he laughing so much? He does not look particularly evil but one could never be too sure just from appearances. MargemianCougar Margem keeps her eyes closed as she makes a mental check of the area around her and the resort. Everything is fine. There is no danger or threat. 'Then why do I feel there is one?' she asks herself before she falls into a deeper sleep. [end of p.38]

[p.39] Mr.Ownage The elf suddenly feels uneasy as well. He puts on a robe and draws his swrod before walking out of his room to see what was going on. MargemianCougar 'Margem,' a voice calls to Margem Okalwa as she sleeps.
'Sanyu,' the redhead says, 'How come you come to me now?'
'You know why, Margem,' the lady says, coming into view - a navy-blue haired Mystic who is a bit older than Margem, 'My time with you is coming to a close.'
'But how and why?' she asks, confused. Mr.Ponworxz The demon starts to run to where his love was last seen. I must find you.. Mr.Ownage The elf stands outside his door, unsure of why he fealt so uneasy. He shook his head, "You're to young to be halucinating. Get some sleep." MargemianCougar 'You know the who. Now you need to realize why,' Sanyu says.
An image of a friend of Margem's comes to her mind. She draws back a bit from the navy-blue haired Mystic.
'Are you serious?' she asks, not able to find words to ask the questions that come to her mind. Mr.Ponworxz The demon finds the village of his lost one. "Hey, do you know where Jasmine would be? I need to find her." He asks some of the village people. Mr.Ownage The elf walks back into his room and sheaths his sword before going back to bed. MargemianCougar 'What the...' Margem says, flusterated, 'But...how? I mean, how can it be, Sanyu? I mean, I haven't even.... I haven't even told him everything about me... What should I do about that? What if...?'
The other Mystic hushes her saying, 'It is as it is. He will accept you for who you are, trust me.' Mr.Ponworxz Villager: "I know where her tomb is.." Me: "Take me there please." He says as he starts to cry. MargemianCougar After about eight hours of sleep, the redheaded Margem Okalwa wakes up, her hands over her face. She pulls her hands away to look at the clock. The clock flashes five in the morning. She groans, rolling onto her stomach and burying her face into the pillow. 'What was that dream about? I mean, how could it be? I mean, he's... Shut up, Margem. Stop thinking such things,' she thinks to herself before closing her eyes again. Mr.Ownage The elf opens his eyes and stretchs before looking at the clock. Only 5:00. The elf groans but decides no to go back to sleep and sits up to think of something to do. MargemianCougar Keeping her face in the pillow, she sighs, "Sanyu, it can't be. I mean, how could it possibly be? I mean..." She keeps her eyes closed, wondering if she should approach the elf on the subject or if he will or if... The third option makes her shudder and she shakes her head. 'Dratted thoughts...' Mr.Ownage The elf turns on the TV and flips through the channels until he finds something good. [end of p.39]

[p.40] MargemianCougar 'If there was only a way to calm my nerves without worrying about his response... But, he can't be the one without me trusting him with my background...' She groans, getting up. She goes into the bathroom and prepares a warm bath for herself, just to relax. MargemianCougar Margem opens her eyes, finding herself in the bathtub, in cold water. "What the...?" she asks, looking around. She gets out of the bathroom, wrapping a towel around herself and going to find out the time. The clock blinks six thirty. She puts her hand on her forehead and shakes her head. 'An hour and a half bath.... Margem, what are you doing? Where is your mind?' MargemianCougar The redhead sighs, before getting dressed and working on her hair. For once, her hair has a mind of it's own - can't get it fixed for a while. After about another thirty minutes, she finally finishes getting ready for the day. "Seven o'clock...." she says, glancing around her room. A feeling overcomes her, a feeling that she is uncomfortable with, "I need to get out of my room though it is so early..." She shrugs, leaving her room, with the keycard in hand and goes out to the lobby. She finds a comfortable couch chair and takes a seat, closing her eyes as she debates her dream again. Mr.Ownage The elf turns of the TV and walks to the batroom to have a shower. MargemianCougar "Seven a.m. Seven a.m. ..." she says, opening her eyes, "For once, I really want to do something, though I have no idea what I should do...." She sighs, "How frustrating..." Mr.Ownage The elf finishes his shower, dries off and gets dressed. He looks at the clock. 7:30 should be late enough, he thinks. MargemianCougar Nothing else to do, Margem walks out of the resort and takes a seat on a bench outside. "At least I'll get some fresh air this way, though it's not very productive..." she sighs to herself, bending over to put her elbows on her knees and resting her head in her hands, "So what if I'm not in a proper sitting position right now? I don't care for now." Mr.Ownage The elf walks into the lobby and looks around. He sees Margem sitting on a bench outside and walks out and stands beside her. "Is something wrong?" MargemianCougar The redheaded Margem Okalwa looks up, realizing that Mr. Ownage is standing nearby. She blushes, her thoughts slipping away as he is near. "Mr. Ownage... Good morning," she says, smiling slightly, "You surprised me." Mr.Ponworxz The Shinobi comes back with a long doubtful face. "She died Ownage.." He says as he starts to cry. Mr.Ownage "I'm sorry." The elf says comfortingly, looking directly at the Shinobi so as to dispell any doubts about the truth of that statement. Mr.Ponworxz "Thanks for the support.." He says as he sits and mops. MargemianCougar Margem looks up and, feeling bad for Mr. Ponworxz, scoots over to him. She wraps an arm around his shoulders, comfortable to do so since Mr. Ownage is nearby. "How can I help, Mr. Ponworxz? Is there anything I can do for you?" [end of p.40]

[p.41] Mr.Ponworxz "I'm not sure Margem.. Just keep your arm there.. Thats all I want, a shoulder to cry on.." He says as he dos so. MargemianCougar Margem rests her head lightly on Mr. Ponworxz's as he cries on her shoulder and she says, looking over to Mr. Ownage, "I can at least do that for you, Mr. Ponworxz." She asks the elf, with her eyes only, if he can help some, even if it is sitting by Mr. Ponworxz. She knows that the support of both Mr. Ownage and herself will help the demon-being at least a bit. Mr.Ownage The elf kneels down on Mr. Ponworxz other side. "Yeah, loosing someone dear to you is hard, but it will get better. I just hope you heal faster than I do." Mr.Ponworxz Sobbing he says "Me too, I loved her with my heart, I'd die fro her. And I don't for just anyone." MargemianCougar The redhead tears up and fully embraces Mr. Ponworxz, holding him close so that she can somewhat comfort him. 'If there was only something else I could do besides just hug him and let him cry...' she sighs inwardly, closing her eyes as her mind starts to wonder about love. Mr.Ownage "Do you know what happened?" the elf asks. "Having some closure about that might help." He wishes there were more he could do but everything else he could think of would place them in an awkward situation, which would not help and pontentially make matters worse. MargemianCougar Margem says, in agreement with the blue haired elf, "He is right, Mr. Ponworxz. But, remember that you must go on living for her. She may not be around anymore, but your life can be a dedication to her, helping the world remember her. How would she want you to live now?" Ponworxz "Thank you, I shall do that now." He says. MargemianCougar Margem nods as she lays a hand on Mr. Ponworxz's head, "You can live for her, Mr. Ponworxz. I bet she would have asked for that if she could have talked to you, to help you with this process." Ponworxz "Thank you so much Margem, you are a really great help." He says. MargemianCougar "Well, I'm glad that I can help some. It's something I try to do for all beings, comfort and care and understand," she says, keeping her hand on Mr. Ponworxz's head, "I guess that's just a part of my personality." Mr.Ownage "Just do not let it get you down too much." Mr. Ownage replies. "I speak from personal experience when I say that is a bad idea." Ponworxz "Thanks dude. You helped me lots." He tells him. Mr.Ownage "Just helping a friend." the elf replies. "I would not be a good friend if I just left you on your own now would I?" MargemianCougar The redheaded Mystic nods, "He is right, Mr. Ponworxz. A good, true friend would not leave another friend when his/her friend needs support. That's why Mr. Ownage is still here for you and that's why I would like to be here for you as well." [p.42] Ponworxz "No you woulden't be" He says to the Elf. Mr.Ownage "If you need something just let me know." Mr. Ownage says to his friend. MargemianCougar "Same here, Mr. Ponworxz," Margem says, nodding and sitting up straight. Ponworxz "I'm tired, I might sleep for a bit to get away from my troubles." He says as he heads for the stairs. MargemianCougar "Well, in that case, have a good rest, Mr. Ponworxz," Margem calls to him as she leans back in the bench. She looks over to the elf who stands nearby, "Do you think he even realizes it's morning right now?" Mr.Ownage "He might." the elf replies. "But if he does it is the least of his concerns." MargemianCougar Margem Okalwa sighs, "Well, if it had been me searching all night in hopes of finding my loved one and finding he was gone, I would be depressed and saddened, not caring about the world around me." Mr.Ownage "He is probably in the same sittuation." Darian replies. "I know I was all those years ago." [end of p.42]

[p.43] MargemianCougar The Mystic bites her lower lip and says quietly, "Yeh... I know..." Mr.Ownage "How?" the elf asks. "I did not see you after Arelen passed until that night on the cliff. Did I?" MargemianCougar "Right but.... She was my sister and I saw you before I left the house for the last time, I'm sure of it. I don't recall how I don't remember you, though...." Mr.Ownage "However," the elf who knows himself as Mr. Ownage replies. "She was still alive then." He feels his eyes start to sting with tears. Why, after so long, does thinking of Arelen's death still bring tears to his eyes? MargemianCougar Margem pauses and, seeing him tear up, feels something snap inside of her. She scoots closer to him and, laying her head on his shoulder, sighs. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have brought that subject up. I don't know what else to say or do besides being here for you, though...." Mr.Ownage "Talking about it is actually helping some." the elf replies. "Before I talked to you about it I would be sobbing at the thought of her." MargemianCougar She turns her grey eyes to him before asking, "Don't I remind you of her, though? I mean, doesn't my appearance remind you of her?" Mr.Ownage "Somewhat, yes." the elf replies honestly. "But the different personality allows me to be around you without bursting into tears." MargemianCougar Margem nods, resting her head on his shoulder, "At least I don't hurt you in that sense. I don't want to hurt anyone, especially my friends like you." Mr.Ownage "Talking has helped." the elf replies. "And I almost feel like the advice you gave Mr. Ponworxz was intended for both him and me. She would not want me to be stuck in the past, thinking only of what had happened. She would want me to move on." MargemianCougar The Mystic nods, "If there's anything else I can do, just tell me. I would love to help you, as a dear friend of mine, deal with what you are going through. I am here for you, Mr. Ownage, as you deal with your past." Mr.Ownage "I just need to remember to let go." the elf replies, turning briefly and looking through a window of the resort. He sees a girl standing at the registration desk. "I guess you should get back to work." MargemianCougar The redheaded WizStar employee looks up, following his gaze. She blushes before standing up. She slightly laughs and says, "I'm sorry to suddenly get up and leave you, Mr. Ownage, but you are correct. Let me go handle that business right now." She enters the resort again and turns to the young lady standing near the front desk. "I'm sorry about the wait. How can we help you this fine morning, ma'am?" Mr.Ownage And she calls me forgetful. The elf chuckles to himself [end of p.43]

[p.44] Ponworxz Wakes from his nap and walks downstairs. Hey guys, whats going on? MargemianCougar The redhead glances up from the desk and, after glancing at the elf, rolls her eyes. 'Sure, and he probably forgot that I can also read minds...' She turns to Mr. Ponworxz saying, "How'd you sleep, Mr. Ponworxz? We've only been talking for about ten to twenty minutes, I'm guessing, since you went to take a nap." Ponworxz "I slept pretty well thank you." He tells the Mystic. MargemianCougar Marem smiles before saying, still waiting for the lady's response, "I'm glad to hear that, Mr. Ponworxz. Mr. Ownage is outside, if you want to talk with him." Mr.Ownage The elf walks back in, having grown tried of staying alone outside. "You look well rested." he says. MargemianCougar After helping the lady at the front desk, Margem leans over and listens into the conversation between Mr. Ownage and Mr. Ponworxz. Satsu-chan Ani trudges her way into the large lobby and stops for a moment to catch her breath and look around. The sofas looked extremely comfortable to her after traveling for so long and she wouldn't move another inch until she had rested a bit on one of them. She dragged herself to one that looked a bit worn out and dropped her bags, then plopped down onto it. There was hardly anyone in the lobby save for a couple of people and she couldn't care less if they found her behavior strange. The cool, soft fabric lightened her heart and she laid there for a long while until she forced herself to sit up and have a better look around. Her eyes dropped from the ceiling to the floor and moved from side to side slowly, as she observed all that she could. "Nice place." she said in a hushed tone so that only she could hear. Sighing lightly she stood and stretched her soar muscles, then picked up her two bags and made her way to the receptionist desk. MargemianCougar The redheaded Margem Okalwa looks up to see the newcomer. "Ani? Is that you?" she asks once she recognizes the lady, "It's been about four years since Starkbiers. How are you doing? You look exhausted! Let me find a room for you." She straightens up and finds a room on the main floor before turning back to the lady. Satsu-chan Ani stares at the women then slowly she recognizes her. She comes closer and drops her bags, leaning against the counter. "Wow, Margem its you! Its been a while." she said with a light hearted laugh. "How have you been?" she asks waiting patiently as Margem found her a room. Mr.Ownage "I take it you two know each other." the elf says, caught slightly of guard. MargemianCougar Margem smiles, slightly amused at the elf's reaction, "Yes, we met a while ago. I was a waitress at Starkbiers, a bar a few towns away. She came in one night and we eventually started talking." She then turns back to Ani and says, "I've been doing okay, I guess, Ani. I had some relational problems a while ago, but I'm doing better now." Clearing her throat, she continues, "Anyways, here's your keycard and your room number. It's on this floor and down around the corner here. We also have a restaurant and a spa area here, so I hope you enjoy your stay." [end of p.44]

[p.45] Satsu-chan Ani looked at the elf and merely smiled and nodded her head. She looked back at Margem and took her new key card, looking at closely. She looked back up at her. "Thanks and, relationship problems? Well, we have to catch up. When do you go off duty?" she asked as she slipped the key in the back pocket of her jeans. MargemianCougar "It started before you stopped by, but I've worked on it for a while. However, with help from a friend of mine, I have started getting over it," she responds before saying, "I'm off duty right now, but I have to stop by the desk every so often... Maybe I can talk with you in a while, after you rest." Sir Blake -Zell walks into the restaraunt with his hands on top of his head. He looks up to see if anyone is here- Mr.Ownage The elf turns and notices the man walking in. He walks up to the new arrival. "Excuse me. Why are you walking with your hands on your head?" Sir Blake -Notices that he is talking. Zell turns his head and looks at him in the corner of his eye-
I was bored and wanted to find a place I could stay and hang around. MargemianCougar Noticing the newest comer's entrance, Margem Okalwa (the registrar of the resort), leans over the counter and says, "Well, you've come to the right place, then. I can find a room for you, sir, if you so desire." Sir Blake -Looks at the women at the counter and shrugs his shoulders- Yes, I would you to find a room for me, please. Satsu-chan Ani nods her head slightly. "Alright, I guess I will see you later then." she said, picking up her bags and making her way towards her new room. She stops in front of the door, slips the key card in and walks into the room. She looks around and finally notices the bed. "Nice" she says as she drops her bags and flops down on top of it. Mr.Ownage "This resort seems to be getting busy." Darian says. "Especially compared to when I first got here." MargemianCougar Margem nods to Mr. Ownage's comment and finds the newcomer a room. After getting the customer's name, she extends a keycard to him. "Here's your keycard to the room. The room is right down this hall here, to the left," she says, "There is a restaurant here as well as a spa area for your comfort. Please, enjoy your stay." Sir Blake -Nods his head and talks the keycard from her- Thank you I'll be sure to check it out. Satsu-chan Ani opened her eyes and sat up on the comfortable bed, rubbing her sleepy eyes with her fingers. She looked around the room and her eyes feel on her porch. She couldn't really call it a balcony since she was on the first level. She slid off the bed and opened the double doors and realized that her room held a nice view of the pool. She smiled and sat down on one of the chairs, watching some of the people, but always nodding off to sleep. MargemianCougar "You're quite welcome, sir. Enjoy your stay," Margem replies to the man before turning back to her elvish companion, "Well, it seems that I have my job cut out for me, don't you think?" Mr.Ownage "It certainly does." the elf laughs. "At least you are earning your pay cheque." MargemianCougar She nods before saying, "Now, what were we talking about earlier, before they came in?" [p.46] Mr.Ownage "I am not sure." the elf replies. The truth is that he remembers perfectly that they had been talking about Arelen but to move on he needed to stop reminding himself of what had happened. MargemianCougar "I think I'm getting old or maybe just forgetting stuff easier," the redhead sighs, resting her elbow on the counter and her head in her right hand, "I don't know any other reason...." Sir Blake -Zell leaves his room and walks over to the restaraunt- Mr.Ownage "Either that or it was not a very memorable conversation, what ever it was about." the elf replies. "It is probably the second option." MargemianCougar "Probably my memory but it could be that too...." she mumbles quietly before shaking her head. "Anyways, what would you like to talk about so early in the morning, as it is about 8 am?" Sir Blake -Heads back to his room and paces back and forth- Where'd all the people go? Sir Blake -Stops pacing back and forth and walks over to the coffee pot on the table. He begins to boil water- Mr.Ownage "That was a joke right?" the elf asks. "I am not really awake that early when I have no plans am I? What is it about being near you that makes me get up so early?" MargemianCougar The redhead, Margem Okalwa, raises her right eyebrow in confusion, "What do you mean by that? How would I know?" She then shrugs and lets it drop. Sir Blake Word up, I'm cool as is...I'll just chill in my room right now. [end of p.46]

MargemianCougar Margem yawns and, briefly closing her eyes, says dreamily, "You are wrong, Mr. Ownage. While one dreams, one can learn what the heart desires. Also, one can be with loved ones that one cannot be with in real life. "As my parents used to say: 'Though distance may seperate, through dreams those dear are always near to heart'." Mr.Ownage "Well, when you put it that way...." Mr. Ownage jokes. "I'm still awake though. So I might as well stay awake." MargemianCougar She nods and sits up straight, opening up her eyes. "Understandable." Mr.Ownage "Of course." Mr. Ownage says in responce. "What is there to not understand?" MargemianCougar The redheaded Margem Okalwa shrugs before yawning. "I don't know.... though I don't understand that though I asked for a break from work I'm stuck working, and the earliest shift possible too." The_Wizard The sniper had been paid to take out a target and this is what he would do. His own life would be forfeited if he failed.
He knew that in a few moments, a young man would walk out of the building. Did it matter who his target was? He had persuaded himself, as he did everytime, that it didn't. It's a terrible thing to kill a human being. But is it so much worse to kill a twenty-five-year-old man who will never be twenty-six than a twenty-seven-year-old who would never be twenty-eight? The sniper had decided that death was death. That didn't change. Nor did the fifty thousand dollars he would be paid for this hit.
As usual, he would aim for the heart. A small target, but he would not miss. He never missed. It was time to prepare himself, to bring his breathing under control, to enter that state of calm before the kill.
He focused his attention on the gun that he was holding, the self-loading Ruger point 22 model K10/22PPF. It was a low-velocity weapon and less deadly than some he might have chosen, but it was light and compact. By removing just two screws, he had been able to separate the barrel and the trigger mechanism from the stock. The stock itself folded in two. This allowed him to carry the whole thing in an ordinary sports bag without drawing attention to himself. In his line of work, that was a critical thing.
He focused his eye through the Leupold 14x50mm Side Focus scope, adjusting the crosshairs against the door through which the target would pass. He loved the feel of the gun in his hands, the snug fit, the perfect balance. He had it customized, the stock was laminated wood with water-resistant adhesive, the trigger mechanism had been taken apart and polished for a smoother release. Even the bullet he was using had been prepared. Made by Eley, it was forty grains in weight and readily available on the open market, but he had carefully drilled a small hole in the head. The shock of air as the bullet entered its target would cause as much damage was the bullet itself. The rifle would reload itself as fast as he could fire it, but he would only need the one shot.
He was perfectly content. When he fired, in the blink of an eye, the bullet would begin its journey down the barrel, going 1085 feet per second; he and the rifle would be as one. Everything else was irrelevant. The target. The payment. The act of killing itself was enough, for at that moment he was God.
The door opened and the target appeared. To him, the target wasn't a man. A target was a target. And he was here to do a little surgery - but with a bullet rather than a scalpel. He focused his attention through the gun. He wasn't holding the gun, it was a part of him. He relaxed, enjoying the moment, preparing to fire.......... Anthony Korrow stepped out onto the front steps. It was about five o'clock and the there was quite a few people around, mainly tourists. He took another step forward and stopped. Something had hit him in the chest. It was as though he had been punched. He looked left and right, but there was nobody close to him. How very strange.
But there was something else that was very strange, the ground seemed to be going uphill. He knew for a fact that it was flat, but now it was definitely slanting. Even the building he just stepped out of was leaning to one side. What the hell was happening? The colours were draining out of the air, the world went from colour to black-and-white apart from the odd splashes of colour here and there - the bright yellow of the sign above him, the blue of a nearby car . . .
. . . And the red of blood. As he looked down at himself, he was surprised to see that his whole front had turned red. An irregular shape spreading across his shirt, widening every second. He was aware now that the sounds around him had faded. The nearest people had stopped and turned to look at him, in shock. There was a woman screaming, but she made no sound.
The ground suddenly tilted so that it was almost upside-down. A crowd had gathered. He wished it would all go away, but there they were, pointing and gesticulating. What were they so interested in him for? Why couldn't he move anymore? He opened his mouth, but nothing came out, not a word, not a breath.
Korrow was starting to panic now; there wasn't any pain, but he knew he must have been hurt. He was lying on the ground though he didn't know how he got there. There was a red circle around him, widening with every passing second. He wasn't breathing anymore either, but he hadn't noticed.
No pain. Just a sense of tiredness and resignation. He relaxed and closed his eyes.[[ Yes, I just killed myself, no, don't ask why. ]] Mr.Ownage "Fun." the elf says sarcastically. "I have no ideas as to why that might be. Maybe you should ask your boss about that." [end of p.47]

[p.48] MargemianCougar Just before the blue haired elf says "maybe you should ask your boss...", a shot rings out. A few people rush in, words flying about a person shot outside. A woman, clearly shaken, describes the man and Margem Okalwa swallows sharply. She clears the counter as quickly as she can and, pushing through the now crowded lobby, gets outside to find what she fears the most: her boss, lying in almost a pond of a red substance. Shuffling the fact that the red substance is blood, she kneels by her boss to check if he is still alive, though her senses tell her ahead of time saying that he is gone. She leans back on her ankles, gazing around as the fact hits her. She closes her eyes as a question runs through her mind: why? Mr.Ownage The blue haired elf stands behind her, his face betraying his shock at Anthony Korrow's death. Who would do such a thing? Even by human terms he still had so much of life to experiance.MargemianCougar "Mr. Ownage... why? Why would someone do such a thing?" she asks quietly, "I've lived for so long and traveled for so far but I cannot understand why one being would murder another being..." She raises her eyes up to him, her light-gray sad eyes, and asks, "Why?" Mr.Ownage "I'm not sure." the elf replies, speaking casually in his shock. "As far as I can tell he wasn't a threat to anyone. Just a young man runing a resort. Perhaps an angry ex-employee, but even that doesn't make much sense." MargemianCougar Police arrive on the scene, as well as the ambulance. They assure all the people nearby that this would be dealt with immediately. One ambulance worker touches Margem's shoulder as the others take her boss away. "Ma'am, I suggest you go on inside and clean up. We'll take it from here. We'll have someone clean him up and call you to arrange the burial." She nods, the smell of the late-resort owner's death starting to get to her. The redhead stands up and quickly rushes into the resort, not caring about anyone around her anymore. She goes straight to her room, shutting the door behind her. A few seconds later, she enters the bathroom, closes the door behind her and sits down on the tiled floor, her head against the door. "But why?" she asks herself, closing her eyes as color drains from her face. Mr.Ownage The elf stands on the steps, stunned. Why would anyone want such an innocent man dead? It makes no sense. Mr. Ownage slams his fist against the wall, leaving a small dent and scratching his hand. He then does the only thing he can do, he walks inside, intending to comfort Margem. Toytown As the commotion grew in and around the resort, An auspicious young man of only 19 strolled down the street only 2 blocks away. Jin was this young mans name, and as of yesterday he had just been apointed a job as a chef at the WizStar by Anthony Korrow himself. "Oh, snap!" said Jin after he rounded the corner to see news vans and police cars scatered all over the side of the road. What in the world happened here Jin, confused joged up to an oficer and asked "What happened?". "The owner, Anthony Korrow has just been shot" the oficer replied in a dejected tone of voice. "Wha..what should I do then? I just got a job here." "Go wait over there on the steps for another staff member, just don't touch anything". Jin feeling disjointed walked over to the steps, and sat down. MargemianCougar Though the redhead feels faint, she senses a newcomer to the resort. She focuses on the being, her eyes still closed, and tries to figure out why he stands out to her. Somehow she feels that the newcomer would affect her own future, somehow.... She tries to get up but is unable to at first, her legs refusing to work. She sighs, 'Well, wait for a bit... Give me a second.' Toytown Jin being bored, lit up a smoke. To bad for the death of the owner, I hope I can still work here. As Jin exhaled upwards a small drop of rain hit his nose, "Ah, rain... how lovely." "I enjoy a good downpour...." Mr.Ownage The elf walks over door the door of Margem's room and knocks. "Are you OK?" he asks. "You know I'm willing to help however I can." I really hope she doesn't take that as me offering to hunt down whoever did this. It looked like they knew what they were doing.Toytown As time passed and the rain started to come down, Jin was geting a little wet and tired of waiting, so he thought he would just go sit quietly in the lobby. MargemianCougar Margem Okalwa covers her eyes for a bit, slightly hearing someone nearby. She is not sure of it, though as her senses are blurred and her hearing has been cut down a bit due to something Margem hasn't figured out yet. She shakes her head, trying to clear up what is going on in her mind and around her. Stand up, Margem. Go to the door and open it, Sanyu says with a commanding voice. She nods, getting up to go to the room's door. For some reason or another, her vision is blurred and she feels a bit weaker than she did earlier. 'What in the world?' the redhead thinks to herself, 'Why am I so.... out of it?' She finally opens up the door, finding her elf companion there in front of her. "Mr. Ownage, what.......?" she asks weakly, her voice stopping before she can finish her question. Mr.Ownage "I wanted to see if you need anything." he says. The elf is surprised by how calm he is. He has seen death before, but only when the being dying had a chance to fight back. I've never seen this kind of senseless murder before.Toytown Jin still waiting in the lobby, started to drift off... his eyelids grew heavy... he fell into a light sleep "s..someone will w..wake me up.." His body slumping back into the large leather chair. [end of p.48]

[p.49] Sir Blake -Blake throws himself on his bed. He folds his hands behind his head and stares at the ceiling- MargemianCougar She shakes her head, "What... happened?" The redhead then shakes a hand in his direction saying, "Never mind that question.... I have a headache. So much going on at once." After a pause she continues, "There's someone new here, new on the staff, I do believe. Where is he?" Mr.Ownage "I heard someone walk in after me." the elf replies. "It might have been him or her." Toytown "Ring....Ring...Ring..." Jin's cell phone starts to ring as he is still asleep, yet he does not seem to notice and continues to sleep. MargemianCougar Margem shakes her head before saying, "It's definitely a guy, trust me. I can tell." A cell phone goes off in the lobby, now deserted of all people (somehow though the murder had just been committed about 10 min. ago) ....save one being, Margem knew. "Please, dear elf, let me pass to see this newcomer to the staff, though Mr. Korrow is dead." Mr.Ownage The elf steps aside. "As you wish." Mentally, although keeping it hidden from all, he adds My love. "Do want a hand getting over there? You seem a little unsteady. I understand why you would be, after what happened." MargemianCougar She pauses at the door, lying a hand on the doorframe and closing her eyes. "Nah, I'm fine. I'm just feeling a bit sick. It has nothing to do with the incident from earlier, though. Maybe I just ate something bad..... or maybe that meat from Mr. Ponworxz' kill wasn't cooked to my taste... I don't know, but I'm fine." After a second, she says, "Just give me a minute, please." Mr.Ownage "Alright." the sighs, hiding his suspision(sp). She's hiding something, but what? Of course, I won't be able to get her to tell me.MargemianCougar Margem Okalwa straightens up, her eyes focused as any concious being's eyes would. She nods, passing by the elf, and heads towards the lobby. 'Now, who's out here that caught my attention?' she wonders to herself. Toytown Jin, still sleeping, sences someone coming, and is startled out of his sleep, "Ahh!" he shouted as he feel off the large leather chair, and on to the cold floor.
"owww.." Jin muttered to himself as he rubbed his head.
Jin painfully got up to see Margem, standing only a few feet from him, "Oh, hello, are you one of the staff here?" MargemianCougar "I am. I am the receptionist here, hired about two weeks ago or so," she says, extending a hand to him, "My name is Margem Okalwa. And who may you be, sir?" Toytown "Oh, why hello there, my name is Jin, Jin Sanyu" Said Jin as he put out his hand to shake Margems hand. "And, is the chef postiton still available?" MargemianCougar The redhead takes the man's hand in a handshake as she says, "Nice to meet you, Jin. The position is open, as of a few days ago. Mr. Korrow let the last chef go after he and I had a dispute over food. Let's narrow the dispute down to this: hamster versus another meat. I won, with a few scratches. He was furious afterwards and Korrow let him go. Thus, the position is open." Mr.Ownage The elf leans against the wall. He wants to be near Margem but knows that it is best to let her handle greetings on her on. I suppose I can seem a little frightening with my black clothing, sword, and scar.[end of p.49]

[p.50] Toytown "Oh thats fantastic!, thank you!, I really needed this job." "So when are we going to open again?" "I am right to asume that we are closed...because of...well that" Said Jin as he pointed out the large windows to where the sidewalk was being cleaned of blood. MargemianCougar "Sorry, no. We're still open. As they say, the show must go on," Margem says as she turns to go over to the front desk, "Anyways, Jin, let's find a room for you so you can get some decent rest. After you rest up, then you can start up in the kitchen. Maybe give the others some sense of mind when it comes to food." Toytown "Sounds good, but..you don't mind giving me a room with a window do you? I'm quite claustrophobic." Sparkle Hearts Victoria walks into the lobby at a brisk pace. She had heard that this little spa was hiring and she needed money. She never imagined herself working at a place like this though. She stopped to observe several tourists leaving quickly. She moved at of the way of a particularlly rude man. Rolling her eyes she proceded to the reception desk. MargemianCougar The redhead nods, "An outside room, can do." She looks up a window and finds the keycard to the room quickly. Afterwards, she hands the keycard to Jin, telling him where the room is. "Down the hall to the left, at the farthest end of the hall. Why not get some rest before we get you into the kitchen?" As she waits for Jin's response, she turns to the lady who just walked in. "Hi there. How can we help you today?" Toytown "Awsome, thanks." Jin said as he took the keycard from Margems hand, he then started to walk down the hall, but he had to turn and shout to Margem "Just call me if you need any food!" he then begain to walk to his room wich he was so tempted to see.
Jin swiped the card Nothing..damn keycard, he tried once more with greater succes as he heard a "Click" the door slowly opened to reveal a very luxurious room, complete with mini bar, coffee machine, full sized bath room, 29 inch flat screen and of cource a view.
"I guess I better get some sleep" he said to himself as he lay down on the large cold bed that oddly smellt of Pepto-Bismol. MargemianCougar After giving the card to Jin, the redheaded receptionist waited for the lady's response as her eyes wander to the elf who still stands against a lobby wall. 'What's with him? Why am I feeling this way? Didn't I want to marry Ares? Yes I did, but this elf is different. He's more caring and understanding. He accepts me not because I'm below him but because I am who I am, unlike Ares,' she thinks to herself, a warm feeling bubbling up in her heart, 'How kind and gentlemanly!' Mr.Ownage The elf notices Margem's gaze fall on him and for a moment they lock eyes. Then he looks away, not wanting her to be able to read his feelings in his eyes. MargemianCougar Margem had lost track of time, zoning out as she looks the elf's direction. She suddenly snaps back to attention and she shakes her head. 'I don't know about it, though... It's weird to think this way. I mean, he is just a friend that I've known over a span of almost three years or so. That doesn't give me the right to feel like this.' She sighs then forces herself to turn to paperwork. 'One thing for sure, I'm getting out of here eventually. I want to settle down but not be stuck with paperwork....' Mr.Ownage The elf walks up to her. "You should not have to work after what happened." he says. "You were one of the employees closest to him. You probably want, and definatly need, a break." MargemianCougar She exhales a slight laugh, "Only close to him because I had to do some secretary work on the side of being the receptionist. Aside that, not that close, other than reading his thoughts. ... At least he can have some peace now..." Mr.Ownage "That he can." the elf says. "If nothing else, at least that one good thing came out of this." He unconsiously wraps his arm around her, wanting to comfort her. MargemianCougar She nods, leaning in his embrace (an automatic response), before she says, "Well, I hope we find a new owner soon or the resort will have be closed..." Mr.Ownage "I have been wondering who Mr. Korrow's successor would be." the elf sighs, as content as he can be with what had just happened. MargemianCougar "Won't know until he or she comes, though," she sighs, "I just hope that the person respects the resort as Korrow did." [end of p.50]
