★★★ When the war in Lebanon was going on and the American media was all "LOL Jean Benet Ramsey!" I was, like, "What. The. ********. There's a <******** war going on in the Middle East began by Israel, and they're using illegal weapons (white phosphorous and cluster bombs) and you're talking about Jean Benet Ramsey?! What the ******** is wrong with you?! D:
(It's not that I don't care that a small girl was violated and murdered, I just don't think that it's more of a news-worthy item than an entire war)★★★

What are you talking about? Music is God! Give me my cloves, and a good sweet beverage and I'm right there with you! heart

What are you talking about? Music is God! Give me my cloves, and a good sweet beverage and I'm right there with you! heart I used to do that at my Grandma's house when god blessed us with rain. I'd sit under the makeshift carport and look at my grandma's field and listen to whatever CD I had with me. I guess I just assume people'll be like "Oh god, you like to sit in the rain! How deep![/sarcasm]".
Isn't it a lovely thought though?

★★★ I don't feel old ... but then again, I was 13 when Alanis Morisette released her Jagged Little Pill album. That was also when Lisa Loeb released her 9 Tails album. A-and two years later, I think Final Fantasy VII came out.★★★

I see that with different instances as well. Remember the tsunami that hit Indonesia? We heard about it for a day, then it went on to Britney Spear's baby for like a week. That is a seriously "wtf" moment.

★★★ Makes me glad I don't listen or watch mainstream news, really. My primary source of current events are from alternative media sources, and the show "The Hour" hosted by George Stromboulopolous. He rocks.★★★

Mar; [Even if you weren't talking to me.] I made my mom go out and buy me all the newspapers she could find on the Tsunami for aslong as they were talking about it in the first few pages. I got that habbit after 9/11.

I just started getting The Economist, and as my mother put it, you read the local newspaper, then you read the Econmost for some actual news. xD

Sometimes I watch the morning news, but that's more just to have something on. I catch bits of The News Hour with Jim Leher.

★★★ I used to watch the CBC's "The National" as streaming video from their website. Then my computer started to act strange and now it can't play videos of any kind properly. (The CBC is the Canadian BBC or CNN.)★★★
