wish-for-magick Proudly Wiccan, but I'm sick of people downgrading it. I wore my pentacle proudly even back when I was in middle school where I got called into the offices and told to take it off and not wear it to school because I was "disturbing other peoples' beliefs". Bullshit! scream We are also trying to put together a wiccan club at our school and the admin. doesn't consider it a real religon so were up chocolate creek without a popsicle stick so to speak.. I'm Christian (albeit a hellbound one) and I'm terribly, terribly ashamed whenever I hear of stuff like this happening. It's not right to make someone remove a symbol of their faith. It's presecution. Christians started out as a persecuted minority. Yet today we can walk around with crosses and WWJD T-shirts and no one makes US take them off. Too bad no one was around to take you to a lawyer when that happened. You had a right to sue the school. Sorry for posting on this thread. I just get so MAD when I hear about people being treated like that... especially in the US. Wait... you ARE in the US, aren't you? (Or at least, were when you had to remove the pentacle?)

I'm wiccan, and proud too! No one gets in trouble with the pentacle they wear, but some of the teachers make you take them off, I think it's wrong, I have to keep my studying on a down low, mom doesn't know about it, and she doesn't need to know, she''s major christian, and she would probably disown me if I told her, but yeah.......I am wiccan. xd

I have a friend who's a Wiccan. It interests me but I can't say that I'd change my religion to it. Unlike most of my family, I'm perfectly alright with people being different to that extent.
Anyone who tells you to take off something that shows your religion is wrong. They can't make you do anything. You have a right to wear whatever you want.
Not the same, but I had a teacher who would make me wash my hands whenever I got into his class because I would have writing all over them. Who was he to judge whether I could write on MY BODY or not?
That is what I believe. No one can tell you what to do with your own personal self.
If you wear a pentacle to school the teachers have no right to make you remove it. It's wrong. Catholics don't get in trouble for crosses or bracelette that say "Jesus Loves Me" Or stuff like that. So why should Wiccans?
It's different for Wiccans because the World is sick. To them Wicca is a new and scary thing and should be put down.
... I'm done now. redface I appologize for anything I said that may have bothered anyone, but I think that most will agree. Freedom of beliefs and all that stuff is in the Bill of Righst or whatever. And if you don't live in the US, I can't really tell you what you have for rights.
---- By the way, I'm really interested in learning about religions. That's why I'm so open to the idea of them, I think. Besides my friend, that is.

99% of people who say they are Wiccan, and it is capitalized, are teenaged girls who don't know what the ******** they're talking about.

Too all of you people saying you're Pagan: Pagan is an adjective descriptive of any polytheistic religion, and it not a religion in itself.
