Songi_the_all_powerfull to be honest i could careless about religion. alli beleve in is a high power that i cannot fully understand true untill we die. as far as christains go.. there ok..but i think many are two faced. Alot of them look downon others saying there religion is the right religion and who ever else that dosent follow them wil burn i n hell. so i say fine let them think that. The resion i say that is becuase of an old friends mother was like that. At one time shes a bible beater and then next she looks down on you adn if she coudl say it out loud she would tell you were dirt under her feet. Religion starts more crap then anythign else.. so if theres a gift otu there i can say mine is that i exsit. ok, granted there are some extreme christians out there, but i would appreciate it if u wouldnt lump us all together based on one incident. i too am a christian, but i dont come accross as all 'high and mighty'. i just humbly state my opinion and refences to back it up then i move on to leave room for debate. my purpose as a christian is just to plant the seed. i am not responsible for converting people. that's the Holy Spirit's job. so please dont stereotype me with everyone else; i find it offending.

Samurai_KitsuneX I guess I was just a mistake....I have no gift. I cant see spirits, I think Im a demon, I have shitty luck, .......I guess I have nothing. Im..........below normal and it...it kinda seems like im useless to anyone. i don't believe that. God can use the most insignificant of us for for something amazing! He used Ester, a jewish maiden, and turned her into a quen to save her people from certain death; He used David to slay a giant and eventually made him a king;...there are many examples of people who thought they were insignificant and did something extraordinary. Joan of Arc is another one. i hope i've inspired u to think that ur not so insignificant smile

Friend of God Iron_Felix Your partly right. All gifts are given by higher powers, but its your onw want or your own hate for those gifts that give them to you. If you want it enough, you'll get it. If you hate and despise it enough, they will curse you with it, like they did me. i disagree. read the story of Joseph in the book of Genesis in the Bible. God gave him the gift of interpreting dreams and because of his hardships (being sold into slavery by his own brothers, being accuse falsely of sleeping with his master's wife, being thrown into jail when he was innocent) he cursed his gift. it wasn't until a famine hit the land that Joseph was able to interpret Pharoh's dream (at the time he was in Egypt) and thus save the people, that he began to understand God's purpose in giving him the dreams. Dont quote scripture at me. No offense, but I dotn believe a word of it. There good stories, but thats it. I was raised catholic, but even at a young age, I poked holes in scriptures. I effectively pulled them apart and angered my sunday school teacher because she couldnt retort against anything I said.

I was also raised in Christianty, I know we are given gifts, I also know these gifts can grow just as the parable of the talents, I also know of Joseph's dream-related gift (it would do you all well to remember that, due to his own immature indiscretion, he mentioned the dream he had had about his brothers and even his parents bowing to him, thus getting him to anger all of his family). But we get our gifts and use them for good or misuse them, they can grow and we may be rewarded or punished, not necessarily by God but by our own gifts.

Basically yea. We choose how we use our gifts. Not God, Not Lucifer.

Iron_Felix Basically yea. We choose how we use our gifts. Not God, Not Lucifer. I agree. We can use our gifts to serve ourselves or to serve others. We may even decide not to use our gifts at all. And I think my gift was the gift of dance. I've always been a dancer, and me and my cousin are the only ones in the family who can dance.

Nice. I wish my curse was something like that. Not what it is, but something pleasing, such as dance....

I wish I could dance too.
Some stories say that dance and song were created to praise the creator. (Might not be true, but it's a nice story)

I had the gift of a good singing voice, but when I got a job and stopped going to choir rehearsal, this gift has simply faded away... If you don't use your gift, whoever got it for you will take it and give it to someone who really wants/deserves it.

Aar000n3yTheL000n3y lol Right. You go think that. But you don't get gifts from god. You devolope your own gifts. Some higher being doesn't just throw you the ability to do something. I made mine, you all make yours, the end.
Quite so.
: Like, when some artist or famous person says, "God brought me here today, and I'm thankful." Yes, well, I'm pretty sure you and your agent got you there. Say, instead, "I and my agent, and others who've encouraged me -whatever-, have brought me..." Just annoys me... It's your own hard work, be proud of yourself! smile

I haven't found out what my gift is or if I have one...
I agree. It is annoying when they say something like that.

JohnnyK ah, i did some research. i'm a telepath. and it seems i'm not actually projecting myself, but rather focusing on that particular person. so i can read other peoples feelings. but can i read peoples thoughts? Yes, eventually you will be able to do so.
