Alright, it's finally here, people... Sorry it took so long, I wanted to make something BIG happen so it would be worth the wait. The writer's block clogged my mind. Anyway, here it is!

Of Perverts and Jealousy
Chapter 18: Feelings and Festivals

Yuki grinned. At last! It was time for his date with Naruto!
He was so happy! So in love! So—
--So confused. He had thought he’d be more excited than this.
For some reason, though, his enthusiasm had been dampened by Saka’s sad expression when he started ranting about getting ready for his ‘date’.
He sat down to ponder his feelings. How did he really feel? Naruto was cute, nice, and funny. He loved Naruto. He knew it. He loved Naruto so much. But… he loved Saka too. The only question was, what kind of love did he feel for them? Was Naruto really ‘the one’—or was he a friend? A true friend he would never want to lose, perhaps. Then there was Saka… what kind of love was it there?
He had known Saka the whole time he had worked here; about two or three years. Saka, albeit a tad boring, had always stood beside him. Whenever Yuki got in trouble, Saka was right there with him, helping him out. They had been through so much, and Yuki just ran off to Naruto…
Well, he wasn’t entirely sure how he felt, but he knew he’d figure it out today at the festival. Now then, where’s his kimono?

Naruto was nervous. Naruto was very, very nervous. He couldn’t go through with this!! What was he THINKING?!?
Jin and Sakura sighed at the same time as Naruto ran around the room in his panic. They had to admit, what Naruto was doing was rather stupid. Hopefully, Naruto would get lucky and be right about this.
Naruto ran around the room, trying to get ready and figure out what the hell he was doing at the same time. He had borrowed a plain black kimono from one of the boys this time, getting very tired of looking like a girl. He had the shoes, he had his kimono on correctly, and his hair was relatively neat. Yet he was still running around.
“GAHH! Sakura-chan, help! I CAN’T STOP!” he yelled, his speed increasing.
Sakura sighed. She wasn’t sure about helping him. Maybe he would run into a wall and knock some sense into his head…
…BAM!...
…yep, he did. Except for the sense part.
“Sakura-chaaan…” Naruto moaned. He hurt. He fell onto his back, staring up at the ceiling.
“Naruto-baka! You should know better than to just run around like that!” Sakura replied, walking over and bending over his head so they were looking at each other.
Naruto smiled stupidly. “Your eyes are so pretty, Sakura-chan…”
Sakura scoffed and picked him up off of the floor. “Don’t flirt with me, Naruto. This is a yaoi fic.”
Naruto blinked, confused. “Huh?”
At that moment, Sasuke burst into the room and started for Naruto. Grabbing the blonde’s face firmly, he kissed him. Hard. Pulling away, Sasuke glared at him. “That’s to remind you that this ‘date’ is only to show Yuki what he’s really feeling.”
Sakura smirked. “See?”
Naruto was shocked. “W-what the hell??!?”
With that, Sasuke stormed away, still angry. Naruto was shocked silent as many of the girls in the room squealed.
Jin jumped up and down on the bed ecstatically. “Omigosh, that was SO hot!!”
Naruto had never been more confused in his life.

Yuki grinned nervously as Naruto walked over to him. “R-ready?”
Naruto grinned nervously back. “Yep!”
And so they began their stroll to Konoha Square, where the festival was to be held. (The occasion? We don’t really know.)
The festival itself wasn’t all that eventful. They had a good time, did whatever they do at festivals, ate food, and talked. Fun fun fun. At 10:30 PM, it was time to go back.
Yuki was nervous. Much more nervous than he had been earlier. He had had a great time, true; he hadn’t even worried about his feelings once during that whole time. That’s what bothered him.
He hadn’t felt anything.
Okay, so he had been enjoying himself; he felt that. But despite his heart skipping a beat whenever Naruto looked particularly pretty, he hadn’t felt any other emotions. This brought him back to his previous question.
Did he really feel the way he thought he did?
Yuki took Naruto aside before they went back into the mansion. “H-hey, Naruto…”
Naruto smiled. “Yeah, Yuki-san?”
“Um… would you mind if I tried something? I just want to be sure about something.”
Naruto blinked, confused. “Um… okay!”
Yuki grinned nervously. “Thanks… please, don’t hate me for this.”
And then he kissed him.

Saka shut the door quietly. He could feel hot tears running down his cheeks.
Naruto had been wrong. He had been so, so wrong…
He ran to the dormitory, still crying. He couldn’t see Yuki now.
Unrequited love burned so badly…
