Xikrai the Risen
I seriously wonder how this thread would fare in the GD, but the lack of intelligence there scares me too much. Plus I think that would defeat the purpose of the guild.

Err... Maybe it would disappear forever?

I haven't been to the GD in forever...

The only place I go outside the ATG is Chatterbox and ED.

I haven't done ED in awhile too.

Jaft
Those transsexuals, on the other hand, can be chalked up as homosexual or heterosexual because their organs are “fake” and cannot reproduce the effects of the natural genitalia of normal people. A man who changes himself into a woman will still be a man because all they did was remove certain parts of his body and then alter his skin while stuffing his chest with… cream filling

I disagree with this partially.
Most notably that 1) a M to F Gender Reassignment technology is so far advanced that the newly constructed womanparts are identical in function, nerve mapping and in general use to an organic one. Sans, of course, the babies.
And, 2) estrogen causes breasts to grow naturally. Many just choose to, well, augment the chest further.

That's just some nitpickin' though. I agree with the general idea.

Jaft, dude, you need to come post in the sexual orientation thread in the fetishist guild. That place is dead, but your thoughts would seriously liven it up :p

My definition is even simplier. Sexuality doesn't exist~~~! Or is dying at any rate.

So everyone, just feel free to ******** who ya want... biggrin
Although I do agree, that love and sex are quite far from being close to the same thing.

I'm ignorant and lazy, so I only read the first post.

I agree with the notion that love defines orientation.

Once upon a time, there was a boy who I often fooled around with just for fun. If I told anyone in my immediate life, they'd think I was gay because of it. I don't think I am for three reasons.

A) It was purely sexual, I could NEVER date him.
B) It was JUST him, no other guy has ever turned me on. Ever.
C) I couldn't conceive falling in love with a guy.

So I consider myself straight but sexually open.

Fair?

There's simply to many ways to interpret what your sexuality, or even your sex is nowadays... neutral There are people who would arge that their fetishes are a sex (or less dramatically, a sexual orientation) within themselves (see: furry).

I don't think that sexualty is dieing, I think it's flourishing. Waku, you are a prime example, chooseing not to partake in it whatsoever, as well as having a word that represents that choice, is only proving that we're labeling and sorting you, and givng you a choice.

Also the whole point of the label of "homosexual" has nothing to do with love IMO, it has to do with prospects. Again, as an example, Waku telling people that she is asexual (and the severity thereof) is the simpleist way of saying "I'm off limits!" Where as when it comes to, say Lin, his label as a homosexual is his way of saying "I'm off limits, to girls." You arn't labeled by your action anymore, you label yourself to get the information out.

Myself, I am "rapeusexual." Which means I'm going to rape you, and I don't care what you like to ********, so bend over before I do it for you.

Very nice Jaft. I think you presented a very valid arguement and you made me laugh in the process. Actually, you had me laughing at "Jaft Thinks" but you proved yourself in the end. razz

I personally think you can be attracted to a veriety of people and genders. no one person i think can honestly say they havent thought about going in either direction.

it doesnt matter though at the end of the day, whoever your attracted to, if it feels right, it is. you shoudlnt be told your wrong for liking someone of the same sex, and you shouldnt feel you have to go with people the oposite sex. personally i have tryed both, and decided i am straight, but thats what feels right for me.

there is no right or wrong.

the other factor might be people around you. if you are forced to conform or lead in certain directions, i think that can sometimes affect decisions.

What a great essay, Jaft. I agree entirely.

Personally, I've never found a woman I am emotionally attracted to enough to make me doubt my orientation... and in my closest group of friends there's me, my sort-of BF (long story) who's bi leaning towards gay (and a furry to boot, and tentacle monster affectionado, and...), a third friend who's bi leaning towards straight, and the fourth friend who's entirely straight (but very open). ^_^

I'll have you all know that I'm glad I made you all think and I like how you all present your own ideas and/or values.

@ningyou-kun: I'm just waiting for technology to improve further so that I can call that man a woman without any doubt. I'm guessing two decades. smile

@Kalstolyn: ... >.> How about you relay my ideas over there yourself. biggrin One guild is enough for me, but I'm already in three! crying Although I'll talk about sexual orientation anytime. biggrin

@wakusei: Doesn't exist!? Oh noes! Whatever will the governments do when they need to further discriminate against certain people if they utilize that idealogy? biggrin

@Trappestine: Fair.

@MrJimmy: You tend to rape more feminine beings though... stare Back to blankets for me! cool

@Terra: It's my job to make people laugh, I thought I was going to make something really, really serious, but my natural way of thinking fused this paper with jokes without me taking notice... biggrin

@FleshandBlood: That's why I put up other factors. There are soooo many other things in life that can affect your decision... and I hate the "society's standards" one.

@aretoo: Yay for furries!

@The ATG Guild: Yes, I AM JAFT. I don't like having two accounts, but I thought this inside joke account name would be funny to exist. Wu Tang! Everyone Wang Chung tonight!

i agree, its wrong to let society shape you. sure it often ends up doing, but its suppost to be a personal decision. to get forced into one direction is unfair and un-needed. i think even though pear pressure and other such things like that, can be hard to overcome, its the individuals decision. However i do also see that there are so many things that could push in certain directions its getting hard to make up minds now.
