((Arahila could only really teach her to bend over backwards and such...umm, is there an ice skating rink in here at all?))
Arahila was relived slightly that the other girl had fallen as well. At least is was something insanely simple that she was failing at. Then again, the other girl had done a lot better on her first try.
Moving back up onto the platform opposite Levana she stood for a moment looking at the bar in her hands. There was a piece of her that wanted to keep trying until she could do it but another side kept telling her that there was plenty of time for that and she should be trying other things before the classes started. Arahila let out a sight and clenched her eyes shut as she fell foreward, holding onto the bar and feeling the wind rush past in the now more familiar start to the trapeze.
Swinging harder she was able to go higher...and she wasn't sure that she liked it much.
((Oh, and I won't be back till Mondy so continue without me if you have to. ^_^ ))

Starting down the ladder, Shima glanced off at the balance beams Levana had previously been using.
I wonder, if that's fun..? after climbing down a fair distance from the trapezes, Shima jumped off the ladder and walked towards the balance beam.
Slowly but determined, Shima stood on top the beam, standing for no more then half a second, and soon lost her balance and fell, tumbling onto the mat.
Again.
Shima eyed the beam, estimating it was about 6 feet long, near the trampolines. Walking closer to the beam, Shima climbed on, to stand on top for only a moment once more before falling again.
Perhaps starting from scratch really wasnt quite good.

Levana watched as Shima traveled down the stairs and made her way over to the balance beam. She watched with one hand on the swing as Shima attempted to keep her balance on the relativly narrow beam. A smile played across the demon's face as she tried to keep in her chuckles as Shima atempted again and again to keep her balance. Maybe a bit of coaching would help? She'd have to give her some pointers next time she went down there. Which, when she looked at the trapeze, shouldn't be too long.
Turning her focus back to the trapeze Levana took a deep breath to help her concentrate on her own task at hand. Once her mind was cleared and focused only on the trapeze, She jumped up and picked up her legs and swang out towards the middle. Using her body to keep the momentum going she swang once, twice, three times as she tried to judge the distance to the next swing. It just wasn't working fo rher though. Maybe just letting her instincts do the work would help? It was worth a shot.
With one last swing Levana let go of the bar and strightened out her body as she reached foreward to the swing. One hand brushed the bar falling away from it while the other hand managed to grab it. The momentum though caught her off guard ausing her to let go of the bar and fall to net below, facig up towards the swing she had just somewhat connected with.
Sighing she rolled off to the edge of the net and hopped down before glancing over to Shima who still appeared to be struggling with the beam. Deciding to give her body a chance to try and figure out what went wrong up on the trapeze, Levana stopped besides the beam where Shima was balancing precariously. "You know, it's much easier to get you balance if you crouch on the beam with your hands touching it and slowly standing up. You've got to focus on your center of gravity though or you'll just continue to fall over."

Shima was just about to tumble, and landed flat on her bottom as she heard Levana's advice.
Ouch. Why do I always seem to be landing flat on my butt? Gravity can go screw itself.
" Crouch on the beam with your hands .... continue to fall over. "
Shima face lightened up, and she clapped her hands together in excitement. Even if gravity was a pain, Levana's advice made SO much more sense.
" I see. That would help it alot better. " Shima replied as she tried to picture it nodding her head. Slowly, she climbed up and started again on the beam.
Her arms shaking trying to retain her balance, her knees were bent as she slowly started up, finding she was tipping to the left side rather wobbly. She was used to the height and being on something narrow. She just wasnt used to balance.
" Oh this is sorta--WHOA~" Shima's sentence stopped mid way and she tipped over to the right side and fell.
" Ah--ugh. " She could only imagine herself must looking pretty lame, with not the best looks right now. Her long hair was getting rather annoying as well.
Pulling off two hairbands from her wrist, she tied her hair into a long ponytail that reached slightly past her waist. Her bangs were tied up, away from her sweaty face.
" That is so much better! " Shima sighed, in content as she sat up straight on the mat for a moment.
Judging from what Ive seen.. Most of the trainees are decent in one thing or the other. But we all have a long way to go.

(( Kolina, are you going to bring Levana to the party Shima's planning? ;O It was suggested in the welcoming thread but Shima's planning it for sometime next week in their timeframe for those trainees are might not be there at the welcoming. x3 Mainly all trainees.))

Levana chuckled as Shima fell back down. As the other girl managed to pull back her intensive amount of locks, Levana slipped off her practice slippers and hopped up onto the beam with ease and took a few steps back from the edge to give Shima room to hop on.
:Since the beam is a little too high for me to help you balance from the ground I can try to help you up here. What you have to do is get on with your back to me so that I can hold onto your waist and try to keep you from tipping in one direction or the other. It's something that takes a bit getting use to but once you start to really feel the difference between standing straight and on balance to standing what you think is straight and tipping."
She smiled down at Shima. "What really helped me with this was ballet. The balance beam was one of the main reasons I took that type of dance. It's not my favorite thing to do but it certanly helps in a lot of gymnastic and acrobatic elements."
((OOC: Yea, Levana will come to the party! Should be interesting. smile ))

She just jumped on the beam with no tension at all. Totally at ease.
Shima was surprised, but she didnt see why she should be. It was like Shima being on the trapeze. Why would she tense up? As Levana offered to her some training, Shima pondered for a moment.
I'd prefer a handsome guy over a knock-out girl anyday, but take what I can get. Seems sort of awkward for girls to be doing this.
" Oh well. If it isnt a hot guy, it's a experienced girl. " Shima grinned good-naturedly as she stood up, saying the line to nobody in particular with her dry sense of humor.
Ballet huh? It's not quite the same as gymnastics but they're retty similiar when it comes down to the basic.
" I took gymnastics before I started to try the trapeze. It really helps when it comes to flexing. But Not to this type of balance I suppose. " her tone was a bit sheepish and awkward, as she rubbed her head.
Shima often had good balance on her hands, like handstands or cartwheels. But when it came to ropes or the beam .. Er. She wouldnt call herself close to decent.
Struggling to stand up, Shima's back was turned to Levana, as her violet locks flowed around her, the air conditioner being strong around the beam.
" If I fall and bring you down with me, it's so totally not my fault. " Shima warned the girl behind her.

The humerous comment didin't get past Levana and a chuckle escaped her lips as Shima clambered up onto the bar. Levana made sure to stay nearby and once the girl was standing erect enough Levana grabbed hold of the girls waist and instantly adjusted the girls sense of center. "You're leaning to your left." She commented as she put a little pressure on Shima's waist to right the girl. "Now I am going to let go of your waist so that I can help you with your posture."
Slowly Levana let go of Shima's waist, watching her carefully so she didn't fall as her hands slid up to Shima's neck. There she gently held Shima's head. Her thumbs were at the nape of her neck while her fingers touched the girls jawline and slowly she put the tiniest bit of pressure which Shima's body would have instantly responded to. Such a simple gesture would get the girl standing over her center and in perfect balance.
"There, now try to get a grasp on exactly how that feels so you can replicate it at another time." She smiled and slowly backed away. Her feet gingerly stepped along the bar so as not to cause any movement on the beam that could disturb Shima.
((OOC: Note: Sorry if that wa sa bit God-modding. I tried to word it so it wasn't but that little gesture, the thing with the neck, it does really work. My acting professor did that to me and I was amazed at the result. The other classmates said that it looked like I grew two inches once she did that to me. XD It helps to center you and give you a true feeling of what standing up straight is.))

As Shima stood, she instantly felt Levana's support. She was leaning to the left? Shima certainly didnt feel it.
When Kolina's cool hands slid up to Shima's neck Shima actually thought the girl was going to strangle her.
Can you be murdered with witnesses?
Before Shima could guess what was happening, Levana touched the pressure point, " Hey--Whoa! " Shima jerked up and her spine stiffened as she stood erect and Levana stepped away. She would have to remember this feeling?
" Whoa! I'm actually.. sort of standing. " Shima was afraid to move even an inch, afraid she was going to fall. But she would have to fall sometime right? But Shima wasn't hesitant. A moment later, she started to take steps forward, finding herself leaning once more. Since she was leaning right, Shima tried to lean a little to the left to balance herself. She took another step and tumble.
This is really cool. I think Im starting to get the hang of this! .. Well Sort of.
(( Acting? I wish I could act =O Also to the god-moding thing, No problem. xD Interesting technique. X3 ))

Levana chuckled as Shima fell back to the mat. "Well that was a bit of an improvement. You took a step without falling and I saw you adjust your weight." She hopped down from the beam and snatched up her slippers, slipping them back onto her feet.
"I believe one of the classes we have to take here is ballet so you'll soon be able to find your balance easier after taking those lessons for awhile. I won't lie, it took me years to master th ebeam but to be able to stand on it properly and be able to move without fear of falling off it took about a month or two. Granted I have a bit more leverage in that department." She gestured to her tail that which she flicked the end of to emphasize. "You'll get it eventually with practice just as I'll get the trapeze with more practice though I have a bit more leverage there considering I've been working on something that requires upper body strength and swinging. Though I have to admit, the trapeze certainly requires a lot of foreward thinking."
((hehehe I am an Actress in training so I get to take all those fun courses related to acting. The whole neck thing isn't really a pressure point but more as a guidance. A little pressure is given to just get your body to instinctively move to it's straight up position. It was a really interesting thing to see happen to other people when I watched the professor do it to my classmates. smile ))

Shima's face brightened at the compliment, since a compliment from an experienced person was so much better then from critics.
As Shima listened to how long Levana worked on the beam, Shima couldnt help but think of the word years. She's only been on the trapeze for three years, and still wasnt anywhere professional.
But wow. Levana really was a hard worker.
" Forward thinking? I guess so. The trapeze is really similiar to the balance beam, because you have to think before you jump and plan how you'll land on this narrow beam. " Shima gestured to the beam, her expression soon turning curious and her eyes sparkled.
" Did you hear about the Frosty auditions coming up? I think Ill be trying for a snowflake role. How about you? " Shima only heard they were doing trampoline and trapezes roles. Trampolines.. It wasn't Shima's favorite. If Levana couldnt do trapezes, then was she any good on trampolines? Shima knew she wasnt. The bouncing made her extremely dizzy.

"The beam for me has become more of a natural instinct. I don't really need to think of where the bar is because my body just knows." She smiled. "That took me awhile to get use to though. I was always one to think about what my body should be doing but I've found that just letting your body go and going on what I refer as 'cruise control' that things can get more simple. You've got to trust your instincts and body though."
At the mention of the Fristy auditions, Levana hopped up to sit on the bar, facing Shima. "I've heard about them and have been trying to figure out what role to go for. I could probably audition for the trampoline role but..." She paused for a moment and looked up at the trapeze. "I've decided to take a risk and audition for the role of the Sun." Her gaze shifted from the trapeze to Shima. "It'll take a lot of work to get myself to a point that I could possibly compete with some of the performers but the more challenge there is in it the more I want to work myself and prove to myself that I can really do whatever I put my mind to." She looked down with a chuckle befor elooking back at Shima. "I guess you'll be finding me in here quite a lot until the auditions, and hopefully..." She said with a coy smile. "I'll be in here afterwards working on my routine for the performance."

Trusting instincts and your body. Shima totally agreed with that.
" You have such logical insight it's almost impossible to contradict it. But as they say, fools charge in ahead. " The saying was hardly relevant to their topic, but Shima was a random person.
" Hey you're aiming for a sun role? Isnt it an trapeze role? Nice. I'm aiming for a snowflake role myself. I'm not sure if I want to be on the trapeze or trampoline. Trampoline sounds fun though. How about we practice together? We'll both probably be in here since all the other trainees and performers either need to audition or practice anyways. "
It was true. even if it was a small performance, how small was small? How much people would be in it? Small differed in opinions.
At Levana's last sentence, Shima suddenly burst into laughter at Levana'a coy expression.
" It's a small performance. I wouldnt mind getting in for it, but no loss for me if I dont. It'd be nice to be in the first production though. " .. How would Kaleido stage potray about a snowman? Would somebody be dressed up as one?
Shima always loved huge costumes like animal costumes.
" I do hope theres a snowman costume! It would be awesome if it were huge. "
