The sensei was at his wit's end. It was 8 at night end Mitsuko was still here. "alright! You can go now!" said Mitsuko's sensei, half crying. Mitsuko was almost out the door when she stopped. "No, I can't go until I master this technique! How else can I go on to be a great shinobi?" said Mitsuko. The sensei groaned and opened another bowl of Ramen. Mitsuko focused and made the correct seal. This time she concentrated her chakra very slowly, making sure she had absolute control. "Transform!"
As the smoke cleared, Mitsuko's sensei was looking at a mirror image of himself. The image then took a bowl of Ramen and-"Hey! That's my Ramen!" shouted the Sensei, quickly snatching the bowl out of Mitsuko's hands. "alright, you finally learned it. But that does not mean you can have my Ramen!" Mitsuko sighed and went home.

The next day, it was sunny out side and Mitsuko went to class early to get a head start on the new assignment. She found her sensei standing by a large Oak tree with ALOT of scratches on it. "Shuji-sensei!" she called out. Her sensei recognized her voice and tried immediately to hide, but it was too late. Groaning inwardly, Shuji started lecturing:"one of the greatest skills of a ninja is to have good chakra control." Checking to see if Mitsuko was listening, he continued:"Chakra control can help you scale impossible terrains, regenerate cells, increase your strength, and even extract poison.". "Today's exercise will be walking up trees." Mitsuko shook her head stupidly, walking up trees? WALKING up trees? Sensing that he was being ridiculed, Shuji made a hand seal and his feet was encircled with a blue aura. He then proceeded to march calmly up the tree trunk. He kept walking until he reached the halfway point.

Shuji-sensei then jumped down, looking extremely smug. "that's it?" said Mitsuko. "What do ya mean thats it?" shouted Shuji. "It was an extraordinary display of chakra control, you couldn't even do a Henge!". Stun by the insult Mitsuko shouldered her katana and made the seal. Her feet started glowing blue as she charged at the tree trunk. A large crack ensued and the birds that were nesting in the tree immediately flew off. Mitsuko then found her foot buried in the trunk of the tree. "You idiot!" screamed her sensei for the 5th time in 2 days. "look what you did to my tree!" Mitsuko was very confused now. What was wrong? She did concentrate her chakra and her feet did glow blue, why is it like this every time? A tear of frustration fell from her eyes and splashed on the grass.

Mitsuko's sensei suddenly felt a pang of remorse. He was supposed to be a teacher, if his students do badly it was his fault. "That was impressive strength Mitsuko, but you need to focus on climbing the tree." Mitsuko was not convinced. Why couldn't she do it right?
For the rest of the day, Mitsuko watched with despair as her classmates advanced higher and higher up the tree. Soon the new kunai scratches were almost higher than the old ones. Mitsuko pondered her dream about being a great shinobi, joining the ANBU. But it was all so far away. If she doesn't graduate from the academy, how would she even become a ninja? Her peers called her the ANBU wanna-be, and she had the katana to prove it, but now what will they call her?

Shuji-sensei watched Mitsuko sadly. She was so confident before and never gave up, but now she looked suicidal. He was never confident in her abilities, but he knew she would always when with persistence. That was how she took away most of his Ramen. "Mitsuko!" he called out, it's your turn again. Mitsuko just stared at the tree with mournful eyes. "Don't worry! you can do it!" said Shuji-sensei, giving her a smile and a thumbs up.
Mitsuko was shocked, if Sensei believed in her, what other encouragement does she need?

Life at the acadamy was tough for Tsrugi, for one reason, he trained as hard as he could for many hours and wouldn't stop until he fainted. He didn't complain though, for he knew that it was the only way he could acheive his goal of becoming a great ninja. Which he would do all in his power to achieve that goal. This gave him the opportunity to become what he had always dreamed about... his goal to become a ninja. Of course sometimes he had to stop training or dreaming, but he never did like to, but now he was finaly able to stop dreaming and actually live what was once to him thought just to be a wild idea that no one would ever let him do.

Suddenly Tsrugi's attention was jerked to the front of the room as his instructer called out "today, we are going to travel to a small oasis on the outskirts of the village" "why must we go to an oasis" another student called out and the instructer replied "you will see as soon as we get there".
Once they reached the oasis, after traveling a few miles through rough winds and sand storms, they soon saw the glint of the sun on a small pool of water surrounded by lushis green grass and a trees. The instructer called "ok, who thinks they can walk accros this pool" and he pointed to the water? Many of the students tried and fell into the water and soon Tsrugi noticed it was almost his turn.

When the instructer said "Tsrugi, your up" he braced him self for what he knew would be failure, but as he centered the chakra into his feet as he had watched so many other students do, somthing very odd happend. Rather then the small blue light that came from the other students feet, A great blast of blue light exploded from his feet. He felt the power flow through him as he stepped upon the water, to his supprise, he didn't fall in and was able to walk accros the whole pool of water. It was like nothing he had ever done before, He was actually walking on water! He felt like he was weightless as he rested his bare feet on the cool water.

"A stagering amount of chakra at this age...with perfect control...amazing" the instruter thought to himself as Tsrugi came back onto the ground after crossing the water pool down and back. He turned out to be the only one to complete the task on that day, and after they had returned to their classroom Tsrugi's instructer said that he had learned all of his basics and was advanced enough to graduate from the acadamy. So Tsrugi said his final goodbyes to the friends he'd met and traveled of to find his destiny.

On his way out of town, Tsrugi's instructor ran up and said "there is one more thing I want to teach you that I think may help you out someday"."It's called Bushin no Jutsu, the art of making clones of oneself". Tsrugi decided that he would learn this new tecnique and followed his instructor's every word. He then started practicing which didn't go so well at first. he found out vary quickly it wasn't as easy as it sounded. But Tsrugi kept at it he practiced it and practiced it on his travels.

Tsrugi was vary thankful that his instructor had told him the new jutsu, he figured he may have never gotten another opportunity to learn it.
It took him many days to start having any luck, but he kept practicing. By the 5 day he was getting discourged, but somthing miraculus happened, after he did the jutsu, rather then the usual nothingness, he saw that there, standing beside him was an exact clone of himself. He thought that this was a great leap of improvement from what he had been working on just a few minutes ago.

It just kept getting better, Tsrugi was soon able to produce 2 clones, then 3 clones, then 4 clones, then 5 clones, and by the end of the 3 week of practicing he was able to produce up to 15 clones. "Yes, I have finaly mastered the Bushin no Jutsu" Tsrugi thought with excitement. Luckily for him it turned out to be a great day and he enjoyed every bit of it. "Nice to get a bit of acomplishment after so much work" He thought. Which is true, for almost everybody.
Bushin no Jutsu 3/3: learned, 300 skill points earned.

Today was Shiro's day. For now he was just an academy student but he wouldn't be for long. Iruka-sensei was at the front of clas getting ready to begin a lesson. Hm, this will hopefully be pretty easy, Shiro thought.
"Alright class," Iruka started to speak, "the lesson today will be the Art of Substitution. In a few minutes we will go out to the courtyard and try it out. But I will start out with this. The Substitution jutsu is a somewhat challenging technique. I takes concentration and quick thinking to use. You need to be able to think fast when you see a shuriken flying toward you..."

A few minutes later, the class was outside.
"Now class, try the jutsu like the way I told you. Concentrate on using you're chakra to switch places with an object closest to you. Like so," he said closing his eyes and did the simple hand seals it took.
About a second later when the smoke cleared a small log laid there on the ground where Iruka used to be.
"You see students?" Iruka said and all of the children emediatly turned there heads to see him sitting in a tree very close to the group. This resulted in a few oh's and ah's. "As simple as that. Now spread out students and try it for yourself."

As all of the other students did the same, Shiro walked a few meters away to try the jutsu. Shiro found himself by a very tall tree similar to the one Iruka had been in.
"Alright then, let's try the substitution jutsu," he said as he began doing the hand signs Iruka had forced them to remember. "Okay," he said as he finished. Then he closed his eyes and concentrated as hard as he could. He closed his eyes and tried the jutsu.
