"Father, I've returned!" Desero called out yet again with a smile on his muzzle and a pep in his step. Oh the things he had to tell him about his friends and whom he had a crush on.

Altaria laughed jumping about as the cubs ran around their parents. She giggled stopping to walk beside her mother nuzziling the great lioness gently. To her, her mother was perfect: Beautiful, Skilled, Great Hunter, Awesome mother, Perfect hunting machine, everything. Altaria wished she could be like her mother some day...shrugging off the thought, she stopped noticing their arrival.
Anastacia noticed her mate's frequent leanings. Growing concerned, she permentantly kept close to him, her tail intwined with his. Quickly nuzziling her daughter, she turned back to her mate. "Benton..." She whispered gently so the children couldn't hear. "My love..what is wrong? Why do your hurt so?" She nuzzled his cheek gently, worry flooding her voice.

Lakeisha sat in the dens and an adult male scent came to her...odd. Then a whole family scent. They didn't announce themselves but Desero seemed to be traveling with them. She had heard him call and so she herself took an exit to her resting spont peering out.

Reid heard Desero's call and picked up the scents of lions with him, one very familiar. With a big grin, the lion started towards their direction and once he saw the family his grin grew. First he nuzzled Desero, "Glad you're home, son." Then his eyes looked to the lion who inspired him so when he was a cub, Sir Benton and waited for approval.
"Nothing, sweetheart.." He whispered after procrastinating an answer and nuzzled his beautiful Anastacia before they got to the King of the lands they were on. A big smile came to his face and he gave a friendly nuzzle, "Reid! You've grown! Your own lands, a son? I'm impressed! You remember Anastacia? These are our two kids, I think you met them..." Honestly the old thing couldn't remember if Reid had met them or not, "Cygni and Altaria."
Reid returned the nuzzle and nodded to the three lionesses. "My my, wouldn't have thought you would have been able to have such gorgeous kids.. They obviously take more after their mother.." Laughing a little, he winked at the two females.
Cygni had been walking proudly next to Desero while Altaria fell behind with their parents. When introducted she wiggled her paw, really not prefering to bow to anyone, until he winked at her. Then she could feel herself curing her white fur as it turned a light shade of pink around her cheeks. "Daddy is too handsome!" She demanded through her blush.

Anastacia grinned lightly. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Reid. I have a feeling you and Benton were quite the friends back in the day." She chuckled lightly and lowered her head to nuzzle their children. "Altaria takes more after her father. She's bigger than most cubs and has that black fur...just like Benton, chubby father that he is." Anastacia poked her mate in his stomach chuckling gently.
The kit mirrored her mother's fanged grin, her tail waving. "'Tis a pleasure to meet you, King Reid." She bowed to him out of respect. "Since you know my daddy, then you're good in my book." Her flakes waved gently as she looked over at Desero. "Thought this was your pops, Dez. I heard Daddy talk about a lion he used to play with alot...looked like a retarded giraffe as Daddy put it." She giggled gently then looked up at Benton witha mischevious fanged grin.

Benton looked down and raised his eyebrow at his... Mate and daughter, but chuckled it off a little. "I'm not chubby... I'm just a big lion..." He refused to believe that he was unhealthily big, it was just in his family, or so he was lead to thing. Sitting down he made sure Anastacia didn't see his grimmace and pulled it off by looking at Reid, "King... Reid... Wow.. Seems like just last week you were a little ancle biter. And now look at you... Sunburnt giraffe got himself a pride of his own. " Of course he had to casually correct Altaria, he wasn't retarded, just sunburnt.
"A retarded Giraffe huh? I see how it is..." Reid said laughing. "Well I see in your fathers old age he's gotten a little senile. I think I'll let it slide this time..." With a wink Reid nodded his head, "It's getting dark, come to the den, it gets cold since we're by the river." Slowly turning around, completly missing the grimmace from Benton he waited for the family and Desero to follow him.
Cygni saw the grimmace and immediatly got conserned. She sat next to her father and nuzzled his little plump belly purring. There was so much respect to be had, and Kings... She didn't exactly agree with, so she kept quiet out of respect for her father, for now. But after a few moments she got bored and ran over to Desero and tackled him. "I win!"

Desero chuckled at Altaria then fell over with an "oof." Rolling his eyes, he got up and eyed Cygni. "You? Win? Hmph. The only reason you managed that was because you caught me off guard. But I'll not so easily be caught the next time princess."

Cygni playfully squinted her eyes and her pupils got bigger in concentration "We'll see about that, Prince.." She jested before lunging at him and managing to at least touch his body with her full paw. "You're it!" With that she started to run around under her parents legs, waiting to be chased after.
"Cygni... Be careful.." Benton warned, using the hushed tone to his warning as a cover for a groan as he stood up to follow Reid.

"Follow me, there's more room back here. That way we won't get in anyone's way. Then your all mine. Muhahahaha!" Desero ran off towards the back of the cave. He knew that they wouldn't cause much trouble back there."

Altaria lunged after the male, her paws barely brushing against the ground. "You won't get away from me, Desero!" She cackled, tail waving behind her as she chased the other black cub.
"Altaria!" Anastacia called out. "Please calm down." She urged and nuzzled Benton seeing him grimace for the second time. A small growl erupted from her throat as she hissed in Benton's ears. "When we get home, you are going to talk to me about that wound..." She whispered before trotting up to chase after her daughter, tail flicking. God, she was a pain...

Phaedra had been following behind, in silence. She was a quiet one. Her ears perked and watching her surroundings. She just watched all the interaction going on...though she contained her bored feelings. She looked intrigued but was dying of boredom. It was a talent but lately, Benton seemed to be catching on to it. He is to clever, she thought Ana caught on every once in awhile. She would giver her credit.

Since Ana ran off, leaving the two males to talk, Benton reached over and wrapped his paw around Phae and pulled her to him and gave her a little nuzzle. The other two girls had been getting most of his attention as of late. But now since they were gone, he could concentrate on her. "You sure you don't want to go and play, Snowflake?"
"Desero! Be careful.." Reid called out, feeling more fatherly than he had since Desero came to him. With a smug little smile he looked back onto the father and daughter love that was going on infront of him. He'd totally give Benton s**t for it later. "Yeah, it's alright, Desero's a good lion. I'm sure he'd love the company..." He said kindly, trying to urge the silent one off to play.
Cygni jumped ontop of her sister, squishing the poor prince under the two large cub lionesses with a giggle. She turned around intime to see Anastacia comming, "Altaria.. Mom.." She whispered a warning and started thinking up a defence for the group horseplaying. Boo for getting introuble!

She tilted her head and play growled at Benton when he nuzzled her and stuck her tush in the air flickering her tail and then stopping when the stranger spoke. King of the lands...she pondered at the thought. "I do not know father." she looked to him blankly sitting down just peering at him with her innocent orbs.

Benton at Reid with his eyebrows up appoligetically, asking for a moment. After he got a nod, the black lion bent down, ignoring the pop in his knee, and spoke playfully to his first daughter. "How bout this.. You go off with the others and pretend really hard that you're having a good time and when we get back home the two of us will go on a little trip and spend some time together? Sound like a deal?" He put his paw on the top of her head and fluffed up her little scrounge of hair atop her head.

"Perhaps..." she replied with a slight grin. She jumped up and put her small paws around his neck clinging to him in some what of a hug. She fell back down on all fours as usual and then padded off to Cygni and Desero looking back occasionally as if Benton would suddenly disappear. And yet her past still haunted her.
