Kichiro Oda I am not my character. YOU cannot say how fast my character moves. Learn that you cannot control the stats or background of another character. OR how they react. He raises a good point.

If I buy a PS3...
It will be to play Virtua Fighter 5. and maybe Tekken 6
And that's about it. Cause I am in love with VF5.
I watch pro-matches online for hours at a time some days. There's an entire site dedicated to it.

Kichiro Oda All assumptions with no basis. Mucle mass thats tight and packed for someone 6'3" and 205lbs for the training of a character who spent years in an academy for assassin work is going to be built for speedy reactions and quick force. Its toning over bulk and difference in training of style. Your character is a fighter meant to pound a target, mine is an assassin trained to end a fight quick and get out before gaurds come. I am not my character. YOU cannot say how fast my character moves. Learn that you cannot control the stats or background of another character. OR how they react.AND saying you are willing to have a discussion, but saying you are just going to laugh is showing close mindedness and a childish mentality that will make discussions unfruitful. But you have such a fighter in a ring... well outside his element. But you have to ask yourself really and truely, how many 6'3 205lb shinibi's you ever heard of. Im not talking Naruto or anything of that bases. The body type you have would be more suited for guard work instead of silent killings.
But you say all that (see bold) yet one can even lay a finger on you because well your just to fast. You dont know my characters background or stats yet Im fat, slow and dumb according to your wording...
But see second part (underline). Anyone who doesnt agree what what YOU say is already dismissed as being wrong. You never allow anyone else to state their opinion and thus when you believe someone is wrong without giving them a chance, you move to dismiss them as stupid or ignorant. Example:
Kichiro Oda ((The denotation of the metaphysical has to do with phillosophy from the ancient Greeks. I used it in a description of that which beyond the physical, when in a discussion of powers in fantasy... and a lot of people began throwing the word metaphysics around because it sounded fancy. It allowed people to seem more credible, but they might as well be speaking of Ontology because they do not know in truth what is metaphysical.
It's a shame people don't truely know what metaphysics are, yet speak so freely their opinions on it in use of roleplay.
To speak of strength and finess in metaphysics is to speak of fish and boulder in vocabulary. The relation is stretched, at best.
I am confirmed by egos and flaunting of opinions, that perhaps Lu Bu's movement to Commerce and attracting such an audience, may have been in error. Due to the fact that close minds will only spread their ignorance in this place of teaching.
Ah well. I can only hope and watch, I have tried to purify this place of one of its inequities. )) Kichiro Oda ((Skyy, you have no idea what flaws are if they bit you in the a**. I don't do your detailed bullshit posts anymore because they destroy the fun in RPing. Take lessons from Crawley and Fox, it's best to post as would happen IRL and give information that would be given. You've gotten into arguements with everyone here, because you think that everyone has to have mechanics that you learned, and it causes you to be blind to real body mechanics that might not function in your repertoir of what you have "learned". Your ego stems from winning against Commerce newbs and thinking that people who fight you and see your posts as limited and confusing at best, would rather go to someone else. You thinks its winning and feed your e-p***s that way, it's annoying.
Setto. Your opinion that this place is for intermediates and newbs come from being one yourself. You think that elemental ice is the same as metaphysics, and others that cloud the phillosophical meaning of metaphysical would agree. However, you are merely throwing terms about in nonsensical ways. Ice is no debate on the fabric of reality, it's from water and cold temperatures. In magic, that's elemental...not metaphysical.
The fundamentals for any RPing and fighting comes in the physical and observable mechanics, the lure of the thrust to the rotation of the hips. The advanced is in using those fundamentals to take down an oppennant in a way that not even they can argue. There will be those who will claim that their personal experience doesn't agree with the method used, but they have not fought every fighter, so RPers must learn when someone is egotistical and not worth RPing with.
This is the place for the learning fighters to progress, and the most advanced to hone their skills to every situation. It's that simple, you don't like what I have to say, too bad. I don't take college classes and haven't RPed 13 years to put up with you children.
Now learn, or be ignored from henceforth. I never take kindly to weak and unsupported egos, and I have tried everything to help. )) It is people like you who make RPing no longer fun. Even your own people dont believe that you are skilled enough to be a hand to hand fighter yet you continue along as if you know everything. You will and always will be a great metaphysics fighter.... but sometimes you just need to know when you are outside your comfort zone.
And thus the reason why I say I would laugh because you dont know how many times you contridict yourself without even realizing it. So until you cant talk to me without stating anything contridictory or stated in a way that is respectful to others, I will continue to act in a manner that will constantly piss you off.
But its all good, second round we make it fun again. xd wink

The funny thing about this to me, is the misunderstandings made from bad sentence structure. Not to mention the complete lack of realism in what is supposed to be a more or less realistic fight.
You are both supposed to be evenly matched to a degree, minor increments of difference, yet the match is being played-out as if it were a meta-physical one.
Metaphysical fights These fights generally tend to focus on either over-powering your opponent or being faster then your opponent, most of the time both. That is where the general problems arise as people dispute on the amount of speed and power a technique can have.
A humanistic match should be about technique overall! Taking the hit at the speed and power at which it came and either deflecting, reducing it with technique or reversing it to gain advantage. True, body size/weight play a role in the aspects of speed and power but more so it's the technique.
I may be baised in the match but who isn't except maybe the judges but I fail to see where you are utilizing technique as opposed to speed, Oda. You have a basic understanding of what might work but your execution is all wrong from my vantage point, you do near impossible things to counter power-strikes with minimal effort and no technique.
Had to get that off my chest.

You failed to see the point. I am not MY CHARACTER. He can call you fat and dumb if he wants. I can say Kichiro's stats are enough to knock a missle away with his d**k strength, if I want and there is nothing you can say that changes that. If I can find a way of avoiding a hit with the stats as I say, oh well. Live with it. If I take a hit to my forearm, well, it's my character and my choices. I never said your character was anything, my character made fun of your character. Oh well, go mix IC and OOC and whine about it. My character has had plenty of "fingers" laid on him, just because you aren't as good as Clash or Crawley doesn't mean that my character's stats need to put down to a level where you can hit him. I don't dismiss people that disagree with me, I dismiss those that are wrong. takbir bashir speaking of contridctory . So until you cant talk to me without stating anything contridictory or stated in a way that is respectful to others, I will continue to act in a manner that will constantly piss you off. stare @Dramon. Stay out of discussions that don't concern you.

Just for shits and giggles. I'll show my answer about metaphysics that shows how I wasn't merely being a "playa-hata" but the people talking of metaphysical fights were genuinly wrong in how they talked of "metaphysics." I can't believe you are pulling stuff from back in the beginning of November. Lol. Kichiro Oda ((If you want respect, then learn the facts, please.
PhD. Albert Lyngzeidetson on Metaphysics.
-Personal Note-It is best not to look on what metaphysics are, but what problems they attempt to adress.
-Lyngzeidetson. (All are logically interconnected and stand or fall together.) The Ontological Question. 1. "What is it in reality that conforms to universal concepts?" The Psychological Question. 2. "How are universal concepts formed in the mind?" The Epistmological Question. 3. "How can we "know" anything about reality at all?"
-Personal Note- This is Metaphysics as it is taught in Universities, phillosophers, and those of diction. Though if you wish the phillosophy of words in metaphysics, you should look up Wittegenstein.
-Lyngzeidetson. Theoretical Devisions. >Realism. > Conceptualism. >Nominalism.
-Personal Note- On looking at some of the very fundamentals of metaphysics, you will see that the "elementals" of Greek thought are never mentioned. Metaphysics is more of introspection on abstract ideas of reality, though Realism attempts to explain Universals to be Universals without a mind to comprehend them. Setto's idea of what metaphysics are do not match anything thus far related to metaphysics, nor does ICE make any relation to the Ontological question of what conforms to these concepts. ))

You took down G-KO?
...and why is there a huge debate about character super-stats and metaphysics here when the apparent purpose of this all is no-holds-barred no-powers hand-to-hand wailing?
Or is this just what the open forum shiz is about.

Or is this just what the open forum shiz is about. Oh no there was a h2h fight here that barely made it past the first round. And.. all the arguing is why. As far as metaphysics.. no idea where that came from. I'm just working on tournaments now.

Hokai. People seemed to really like the G-KO thing, so I was a little confused when you changed it to Budo Society and all that.
Psh. Arguing over metaphysics in an hand to hand fight? You people effing kill me. There's nothing to argue about in H2H other than 'my character's key stat is _____", with it being either: strength, speed, vitality. Either you take hits really well, dodge and weave like a pro, or crush faces like a guy nicknamed "the Hammer". That's the extent of where character 'stats' will take you in H2H. Beyond that it's powers, metaphysics, whatnot, and those don't belong in a pure H2H fight. You'd call that something else... maybe CQC, since at that point it's not about the martial arts and just about how much damage you can do to the other guy while in close.
Y'all shamed yerselves. This place is (apparently) a sanctuary of 'normal' in an ocean of freakdom and fireslingers, but thou hast defiled it.
Fo' shame.
