The new question is up. It's getting harder to come up with these things. Someone start suggesting some new ones, please!!!

Anyway, for those of you who don't understand this week's question (and if you don't, you clearly need to work on your sci-fi geekiness, young grasshopper. razz ), MST3K refers to Mystery Science Theater 3000. The show basically involved a man and his robots make a running commentary for some cheesy movie, making fun of its flaws and wisecracking their way through the film. As an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWnOqjKxkLA

Surely you know of some Doctor Who stories that were so bad/cheesy they deserved the same treatment!

I can think of a few from several of the Doctors. Probably the one I'd most like to mock would be the Colin Baker story "Timelash"... it's just all-around bad. Then again, "Mark of the Rani" had those wonderful 'trees'.

I heart Crow T. Robot and Joel.

The 1st Doctor would SERIOUSLY get tore up by them! lol. And it's more of their style too. domokun

True, true. I always prefer when they're ripping into something in b&w.

How about the Web Planet? All the aliens were laughably bad (especially those goofy bee people). Vicki was bad. Vaseline on the camera lenses was bad. MST3K gold, this is!

I'm sure the Gunfighters would also be good material to work with, 'cept I've never seen it.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the 1st Doctor, but you could spin the wheel and do some MST gold with most of his episodes. 3nodding

Even though it's one of my fav. stories, I'd like them to do The Three Doctors. I think it's got quite a lot to make fun of... which is why I love watching it.

And I want them to mock Jo cos she seriously needs it.

Considering the only episodes I've really seen are the 9th and 10th Doctors, I vote for the episode "Love and Monsters", a David Tennant episode (if you can call it that). He has all of, what, five minutes screen time? The cheesy rubber monster gets more screen time than the Doctor!

I don't count Love and Monsters as an episode, which is why I chose Fang Rock (my only old school Who experience as of yet).

OMG yes! I forgot the maggots! But even better - the first ever Master episode. We shall conquer the world with plastic daffodils! (and the things that stop you breathing dissolve if you breath on them! whee )

Terror of the Autons. Mwa ha ha.

EDIT: I just got the urge to look that up on the BBC website and found this under the quotes bit...

DOCTOR: You ham-fisted bun vendor!

Silver Nemesis was another "so bad it's good (to make fun of)" story. I don't think I've ever seen the Cybermen act more incompetent. They were getting killed off by arrows and slingshots, for heaven's sake! That's even worse than their massacre in The Five Doctors... rolleyes
