Sounds fine to me, Tulip, and is heavily supported by your myth.

Ok i have a question or two about my quest DX

-So basically my concept is about the celtic lord of the dead. he was basically the one who led the spirits into the underworld. so i have this idea for him to have this lantern type of "weapon" thing that pulls back into his past of leading the spirits. The weapon is basically a lantern on a long a** chain that he twirls around( when and if he uses it as a weapon) the easiest way for me to describe it is to referance the weapon GoGo has in kill bill XD;. The thing is i dont truly know how to bring this weapon into existance without some of his past being known or somethign so i was wondering if i should just ignore the thing entirely until later ( if this happens lol)

- second ninja basically this is looped into the lantern thing, the way he would use it he would need to be nimble and move very fluidly and like a dancer. In my concept i have him being a very good dancer, thusly making it easy for him to weild the weapon, however, i dont really see any way to tie this into his past. He was an adventurer and a Sailor, but nothing really dancish in his past, so i dont know what to do DX

any suggestions? Dx

Not everything has to be tied into his past. So being a good dancer is fine. It's like Morty has great love for tv and video games, which Anzu certainly didn't have back in Babylonian times XD

If you don't think your fa'e would have enough knowledge of their past to have that weapon yet, you can always put it down as a weapon for their future stage - say youth, and have them find it on their youth quest ^^

Okay, so I recently chose a new myth for my quest, and I decided on an Ifrit/Jinn. But someone mentioned the fact they though that that's what Sire had been. I myself can't remember what his mythbase was, and he's not listed in the database or the master list, so I can't check. Anyone know?

Sire was a Djinn, yes.

I'm working on a Fa'e quest with the Wild Hunt (Ri' here) as a mythbase My Problem of Doom is:
a) The Hunt (or various local versions) has, I think, been sighted in the last sixty years. Does this mean it can't be considered 'dead'?

b) If it can be, how in the world do I 'kill' it?

I think perhaps the best thing to do would be to assume that your Fa'e concept is a Wild Hunt, not the Wild Hunt. Or, even -- there is a single Wild Hunt, and your Fa'e is an incarnation of it at whatever point you want to consider it dead -- and the recent sightings are of a more modern, redone Wild Hunt, one that came along after the old one 'died'.

If that makes any sense.

ok. just as a re-double check.... is it alright for sure if I do the headless horseman? Cause I never really got a 100% ok on that..and I'm already thinking of things to do and it would be really sad if I had to stop.

Yes I read the new rules and I'm still a little confused about my particular myth.

Mahii, the dhullahan sounds the same to me, so it might be useful to you to look into it. Just trying to be helpful.

Rogue Dragon brings up an *excellent* point. If you work off the Dullahan myth (since that's what inspired Irving to write that character) that would definitely be fine.

baeliay: I agree with Cere. Why don't you choose one individual member of the Wild Hunt who fell away from the others or something similar; that way you're not killing off all of them and hey! free insta-NPCs for your use later on! ;D

Oki. Cere did an awesome crit of my quest, and as such, I'm changing some things.

Should I re-submit for stamping when I'm done?

That depends on the level of change, but that's not all. If you are going to get more crits and then possibly change it some more, you may want to wait to get it stamped.

I think any changes to the following will result in the need for a restamp:

Adding of or major changies to current powers: If you're deleting a few, you don't need a restamp. If you're making some minor changes (like.. if you have a genie Fa'e that normally grants wishes, and we've already stamped it, and you decide to change it so she needs her lamp in order to grant wishes, that's fine. If you change it so that there are 'levels' of wishes she can grant, and she 'gains' a level each time she grows, and we've already approved the entire wish-granting process in the first place, that's fine too.)

Major changes in mythbase: You're free to rewrite it as you please (we'll be checking in on quests from time to time anyway to make sure everything's still A-OK.) Basically, if you decide to include new major NPCs, decide to change either how your myth was created or how it died, or add new life-altering events to your backstory, we will need to re-check it. Minor events, the addition of minor (as in non-god, or characters that most likely will not show up in your Fa'e's life) characters, or even a rewrite of the same basic myth do not need to be re-stamped.

Complete change of mythbase/concept: ...Of course. =D;;

Personality and appearance changes generally do not need to be checked, unless you decide to do something EXTREMELY major like adding multiple personalities (I don't think appearance changes ever need to be re-checked as long as you heed the restrictions in the Database thread.)

In your case, since you'll be writing an origination myth, you'll need to submit for a restamp, but that should be relatively painless.
