"Reflect!" the girl called, and Rosemary created a barrier of light in front of her to serve as a shield. Once again the boy countered by having Aron raise its Defence, and now they both seemed ready. Kasiya hesitated, wondering if it was too soon to start using Counter. If it was, and the boy stopped using attacks, Aron would eventually be drained into submission from the Leech Seed. Kasiya pursed her lips and called for Rosemary to perform another Razor Leaf. A matching 'X' appeared on Aron's other side, yet again the attack seemignly nothing but cosmetic damage. The boy, pleased with how the battle was going so far, told Aron to use Metal Claw. The small steel Pokemon charged again, raking its claws across Rosemary's body. The Reflect blocked much of the damage, but it was obvious the little one was hurting already. Kasiya felt the urge to kick herself for not using the TM she'd recieved from Erika on the Chikorita.

"Get back Rosemary!" Kasiya called to her Pokemon. "Let it come to you." The Chikorita obeyed, retreating a bit as the Aron came in with a Headbutt. "Counter!" the girl called, and upon striking, Rosemary reversed the damage two-fold on the iron Pokemon. Both cried out, the attack having taken a chunk of HP from both. Rosemary recovered slightly with the help of her Leech Seeds, but she still looked weakened. The small Pokemon looked up at her trainer, not wanting to disappoint her. Kasiya, on the other hand, didn't want to see her young Pokemon get hurt because of her carelessness.

The boy trainer was also a bit startled at Rosemary's ability to use Counter. He looked as though he were too scared to attack her again, but he quickly changed his mind, seeing how weakened Rosemary was. "Mud Slap!" he called. Aron kicked up a spray of muck and goo, covering the grass Pokemon in mud, and effectively lowering her accuracy. She recovered a small amount of health, and in turn dished out a bit more damage to Aron as she was told to Counter again.

"You could train it on the boat." Meowht sudjested for once choosing to be helpful to his trainer instead of just insulting.

"I could but the boat might get damaged." Dante countered back boredly. Sighing he took out Bahamut's pokeball and stared at it for a few moments befor letting the small orange bug like pokemon out. It blinked a few times befor it stared at its trainer with black eyes. "Hey girl, I just felt like letting you out for a while. You can hang around the ship some if you want to."

The small pokemon looked at Dante for a moment befor turning its gaze to Meowth who simply shrugged. Deciding to do just that the small pokemon began wondering around the ship ocassionally going to the edge of the boat to look over the side and into the water to watch the water pokemon swim around the boat happily. It was during one of these little look over's when a Wailmer swam a bit to close to the boat and bumped it causing Dante to fall onto the ground, Meowth to give a shreek and dig his calws into Dante's stomach, and Bahamut to fall over the edge.

Giovanni stood up, slamming his fist on his desk. "Then you will FIND him, KILL him and bring him TO ME!" he roared. "Need I remind you that, should you fail, the consequences WILL.BE.SEVERE?!!" The man sat back down, his ringed hand gleaming in the light. "I will, for the last time, do another search for his location."

"This time..." he growled, "DON'T.SCREW.IT.UP!" he slammed the PokeNav on the table, hanging up and breaking part of it.

Nina, Sabrina, and Sakura entered the Ice Path. Nina looked around with a smile on her face, ignoring the chill that was present; the light that lit the room up was reflecting slightly off of the ice which surrounded her, showing off a dazzling display of thousands of sparkles that resided in the ice. "There's no place like home," she said softly, with a little bit of a chuckle.

"I used to love playing on the ice when I was younger," she said to Sabrina. "Whenever you take a step or two in one direction on the ice, you go flying down that same direction until something stops you, and usually that's a boulder. But since the boulders in here are all covered with soft snow, it's pretty impossible to get hurt if you run into one. For example..."

Nina stopped speaking and grinned, as she walked onto the ice. A moment later, she went flying in a straight path. A few moments later, she got stopped by the wall, and landed in the soft snow. Sakura followed suit a moment later, and Nina caught her when she was within arm's reach. "Come on, Sabrina!" Nina called. "You should try it too! Plus, we kind of have to slide around here to get to the staircase."

"We... what?" Sabrina asked. She seemed a little bit leery about stepping foot onto the ice. "What if I get hurt?! I'll completely blame you for it, you fool."

Nina grinned. "That's alright, I can live with that." She heard her sister sigh in a moderately flustered manner, and very cautiously stepped onto the ice. Sabrina didn't go flying down in Nina's direction; rather, she was still standing. Hey! Sabrina called. Maybe I'm, uh, immune to the ice's slipperiness!

Nina grinned. "That's what you think," she said to Sakura. "Come on, Slowpoke!" she called to her sister, looking up. Sabrina shrugged a little, kind of smiling, and then took another step forward. This time, however, Sabrina produced the same results of what happened to Nina. Quickly, Nina and Sakura slid off to the side while Sabrina crashed into the boulder where Nina was only moments before. "See?" she called to her sister, as she was now on the opposite side of the room, "that wasn't so bad, was it?"

Sabrina looked to Nina, wearing a half shocked/half angry expression on her face. "I was scared for my life!" she called to her sister. Don't be such a baby! Nina called back. I got stuck in here for almost three days one time; you learn to like it after awhile! Sabrina flinched. "What the... what?!"

"I'll tell you about it later!" the azul-haired girl said. "Now, follow me! We've got a lot more skating around to do, and a few more floors to climb! Just follow me!" Nina saw her sister grimace, but she listened to her sister's words. Nina would take a step in one direction and eventually stop, and Sabrina would follow suit. After a short time, they had reached the next floor, and were enduring a repeat performance of what had occurred on the floor below. It was about twenty minutes later that the girls had emerged from the Ice Path. They then made their trek to the Lake of Rage...

(There. Now none of you can say that I haven't been posting.)

After the smoke cleared, Kilik held tightly to two Pokeballs, one in each hand. In his left was the Park Ball that held his Scyther. The other, the Rocket Ball containing the strange Pokemon: Poppite. He threw them up, two beams of white light flashing around them as the Pokemon took form. First was Scyther, her weapons gleaming brightly in the sun. Poppite formed next, its body parts floating around in circles.

"Son?" he asked, "What is that?" he pointed at Poppite.

"That's...Poppite," he whispered, "A Pokemon I got when I was a part of Team Rocket. I called you and let you know, remember? That I was with them?"

"I remember," he said, looking the Pokemon over, "Remarkable...what type is it?" he questioned.

"Psychic and Dark," he said simply, "I'm still not sure of what all it can do," he said. Lifting up the two Pokeballs, he recalled Poppite and Scyther; both of them were at risk in the town. Scyther, being an oddly colored Pokemon and Poppite, nobody knowing exactly what it was. He decided to keep both low unless he really needed them. The door opened again, this time a woman peeking out.

"Kilik?" she said brightly, "Is that you dear! I didn't expect you home so soon!" she exclaimed, rushing her husband, son, and his two Pokemon inside. She caught a glimpse of Weezing. "I'd...rather that foul Pokemon be kept in its Pokeball when its in the house..." she whispered.

Weezing heard this, belching smoke into the room and covering it all in a thick green haze. "Weezing! Not in the h-h-h-house!!" Kilik coughed, pulling Weezing's Pokeball out of the ring and calling it back. It let out a loud sob before zapping back into its Pokeball. The boy then went to open a window, the smoke billowing out and upwards.

After about another fifteen minutes, and after walking through Route 44, Nina and Sabrina arrived in Mahogany Town. The azul-haired girl looked around and chuckled a little bit. "Wow," she said. "It's been so long since I've been here!" She paused for a moment. "I wonder if Pryce is at his gym today?" She looked toward the building, located in the southern area of the small town, and she walked to it, Oddish and Sabrina following her.

"What the heck?" Nina said as she tried to open the door. "It's locked... I wonder if something's wrong? He never leaves the gym locked during the daytime, ever." Sabrina shrugged a little bit. "Maybe he just had to go run out and do some errands or something. It's nothing to get worried over, Nina." Nina looked to the side. "Meh, you're probably right. But still, it just seems odd." She shrugged it off, and then proceeded to the north of the town.

"So, why the sudden interest in going to the Lake of Rage? It's kind of random, if you ask me." Sabrina looked to her sister as they proceeded up Route 43.

"I told you before, you dork, the Lake of Rage is one of my favorite places in Johto." Nina grinned. "There's a red-colored Gyarados that lives in the Lake. Every now and then, he pops up and just kind of watches me. I don't feel threatened by him or anything; in fact, it's really nice to see him. He even let me pet him one time." Sabrina smiled as Nina continued. "I wonder if he'll remember me?"

A short while later, the girls and Sakura arrived at the Lake. Nina sat underneath a tree while Sakura hopped over to her, and Sabrina stood on her left side. "Now, we just wait," she said. "He'll show up in a little while."

Nina waited for at least a half an hour, yet the Gyarados never surfaced. Concerned, as this had never happened before, she got up and walked to the water's edge. She peered into the Lake, yet saw nothing. Stopping for a moment, she reached for her belt and pulled Krystal's Pokeball. She released her, and the Dragonair hovered majestically. Sparkles descended onto the ground from where it floated. "Krystal," Nina said to her Pokemon, "I need you to swim around in the water and look around. Let me know if you see a red Gyarados, alright?"

Krystal cooed, and dove into the water. It swam around for quite some time, and after what felt like an eternity, finally surfaced. It swam back to the shore, and slithered out of the water. It looked to its owner with a disdainful expression. "It... is he down there? He is, right?" Nina asked, worriedly. The Dragonair shook its head, the small wings on either side flapping slightly. "Th...this is horrible! Something must have happened to him... this Lake doesn't lead out to anywhere else, so he couldn't have possibly migrated..."

"Maybe he just got captured or something?" Sabrina asked, as she and Sakura approached Nina. "I mean, that's a possibility."

"No," Nina said. "You don't know this Pokemon like I do. It wouldn't allow anyone to capture it. I've seen at least two or three dozen people make an attempt to capture Gyarados, but every single time that they threw a ball at him, he would always be able to escape. Always."

"If you truly wish to know where the Gyarados is, you may want to return to Mahogany Town. You'll find your answers there." A caped man slowly came into view. He was just about Sabrina's height, except maybe an inch or so taller.

Sabrina squinted. "What the... who is that?..." When the man came into a closer view, Sabrina's eyes grew wide. "No way... Lance?"
PostPosted: Sat Oct 07, 2006 12:15 pm

A smile on her face, Sabrina kissed her friend on both cheeks before she took him into a great hug. "It's been such a long time since I've seen you," she said, stepping away after a few moments. "How have you been?"

"All things considered, I've been very well. And yourself?"

"The same... About a year ago, I had finally met up with my younger sister." She tilted her head in Nina's direction, and Nina stepped forward, holding Sakura, and Krystal floated at her side.

"My name is Nina," she said, extending a free hand to Lance.

"It's very nice to meet you, Nina. My name's Lance." He shook the girl's hand. "I'm not sure if you're aware, but I'm one of the members of the Elite Four, over in the Kanto region. Have you ever been there before?"

"Yeah, actually," she answered. "I've got some very interesting memories from there. Most of them took place in Saffron City-- that was where I first reuinited with Sabrina here, and she was the one who pretty much stopped the boy named Kilik who had attempted to take over the city. Do you remember that incident?"

Lance rolled his eyes. "Only too well. We received word at the Pokemon League a short time after the President had been murdered. It's amazing to hear that Sabrina was able to put a stop to that entire ordeal." He gazed to the Psychic trainer.

"It... well. I really don't deserve so much praise. After all, Nina got to him first and was able to keep him distracted until I arrived."

Lance smiled. "In that case, praise be to Nina, as well." His eyes turned toward Krystal, and he stared in awe for a moment. "That's... a beautiful Dragonair you have, Nina. I've never seen one in such a color before. If you don't mind my asking, where did you get it?"

"I actually got it on Five Island... Heh. I can tell you some stories about the time that we went there." Nina paused for a second as she remembered that Lance had mentioned something about the Gyarados. "Wait. What were you saying about Gyarados and Mahogany Town?"

"Oh. Right, I'm sorry. I've received word that Team Rocket has been sighted near here, and that Pryce as well as the red Gyarados have vanished at about the same time that the Rockets were seen. I believe the events to be connected, and so I came down here to investigate. I was informed that the Rockets had a hideout in town, so I was on my way there, when I saw you two up here... But, anyway. My primary concern is the safety of the Gyarados and Pryce. Would you two be willing to help me?"

"Of course we would, Lance," Sabrina answered. "Just tell us what to do."

"All right. Come with me to Mahogany Town, and we'll look for their base there." Lance received a nod from both girls, and he and Sabrina walked down Route 43.

However, Nina simply stood there for a moment. Her eyes were blinking rapidly, and she seemed to be spacing out. "The Rockets' hideout!" she called to the Kanto trainers. "It's in the Pokemon Mart!" Nina ran after them...

"It's... what?" Sabrina asked, turning around to see her sister running towards them."It's in the PokeMart! Nina called. I just saw it!

Nina caught up with Lance and Sabrina, and was breathing heavily for a few moments. "Just a minute ago," she said, in between breaths, "I just had a vision. It wasn't very clear... I saw the Mart, and then a bunch of Electrodes hooked up to some weird machine. And Gyarados was there too...

"What about Pryce?" Sabrina asked, listening intently.

"I... I didn't see him," Nina replied. "But, he has to be there. I know it...." She shook her head quickly. "Well, it doesn't matter. We need to get going, and now!" Sabrina and Lance nodded, and the trio began to sprint down the route. Krystal went back into her Pokeball, while Sakura was still comfortable in Nina's arms. In retrospect, Nina thought, using Krystal to Fly down to Mahogany probably would have been a better decision than running... Nina's hair bounced and her dress ruffled as she ran.

A few moments later, Nina and company arrived back in the small town. "Mahogany Town... Population, 14... Home to a hideout of malicious Rockets." She walked to the PokeMart and went inside, Sabrina and Lance following. "Hello!" the clerk said. "How may I help you?" Nina approached the counter, looking at the man. He was relatively young, possibly in his early to mid-twenties. She then glanced to Sabrina and Lance, and thought-spoke to them. Let me take care of this. Turning back to the shopkeeper, she smiled somewhat. "How can you help me?" she repeated. "You can help me by telling me where the entrance to the Rocket Base is." The clerk looked at Nina with a strange expression on his face. "Miss, what are you talking about? What Rocket Base?" Nina looked into the clerk's dark blue eyes. "I know that you're lying to me. So, why don't you just tell me what you know before things get ugly."

The clerk scoffed. "Miss, I don't have a clue what you're talking about. Honestly." The blue-haired girl raised an eyebrow. "Oh, is that so?" Nina gazed at the man for a moment. Shortly thereafter, an outline of a light blue encompassed his body. Looking to a wall on her right, she flung him into it, making him fall onto the ground immediately afterwards. "Remember anything now?"

The clerk slowly stood up, and wiped his mouth with the back of his right hand. "You stupid bit--" Nina slammed the man into the wall a second time. "Tell me what I want to know! NOW!" A groan escaped from the man's throat. "Fine. Over in the corner... Press the direct middle of where the two walls come together. That'll reveal a way into the basement..."

"Well, thank you very much." Nina threw the man over the counter. "And, you might want to let Giovanni know that, for his own safety, he shouldn't mess with Nina." She nodded toward the corner, and walked over to it, Sabrina and Lance following.

"Nina, I didn't know you were so violent," Lance said. Nina responded, "I'm not. But we're dealing with the safety of a Pokemon and a human being. Who knows what could be happeneing to either one of them?" Lance was quiet for a moment. "You're right. Just, don't overdo it, alright?"

Nina chuckled a little bit. "Don't worry, I won't." Feeling along the corner, she found a very small button, and pressed it. Behind them, several floor tiles moved, revealing a staircase that went downward. "Well well, it looks like he was telling the truth..." She was quiet for a moment. "Come on, you two. Let's go."

Nina led Sabrina and Lance downstairs, her mind wandering and wondering about what machine those Electrodes could be powering.

Now fairly desperate, Kasiya told Rosemary once again to use Razor Leaf. The attack seemingly was more effective than the previous two attempts, the little iron-clad Aron cried out as it was slashed with the razor-edged leaves. Once more it kicked up a spray of mud in reply, lowering the Chikorita's accuracy again, although doing pitiful amounts of damage. Exhausted, the small Pokemon glanced back at her trainer, determined not to let the girl, who loved and cared for her so very much, down. The small grass Pokemon gave a loud cry, and a whirlwhind of leaves and grass kicked up, encircling the Chikorita and obscuring her from view. The storm of foliage grew more and more fierce, and then suddenly died down as though nothing had happened. Kasiya gasped, taking a step forward. "Rosemary!" she said, although no sound came out. "I can't believe it!" There, in the place that a baby Chikorita had once been, now stood a mature-looking Bayleef.

((Does anyone want a Battle Frontier pass? Dante is going to be giving them out.))

Feeling Meowth's sharp claw's dig into his side Dante gave a sharp yelp of suprise and pain and glared a bit at the talking cat. Turning his head to check on Bahamut he looked just in time to see the small pokemon fall over the edge. Scrambling up he ran over to the rail where the orange pokemon had fallen into the water. Looking around quickly he frowned slightly he didn't see the pokemon. Swiftly he pulled Shiva's pokeball and was about to release the seal pokemon when a ball of light appeared in the water causing him to pause. A second later the a green dragonfly like blur zoomed out of the water and stopped right in front of Dante's face. Dante blinked a few times in suprise at the pokemon befor him befor saying slowly. "Bahamut is that you?" Apperently it was his overboard pokemon because it gave a happy squeel befor tackling Dante down onto the floor.

((Ooh, pick me! 4laugh ))

"Baaay!" cried Rosemary, obviously quite pleased with her transformation. The Bayleef looked back at Kasiya, and gave a nod, signalling that she had everything under control. She regained a bit more health from her Leech Seeds, and she pawed the ground, ready for anything the little tank would dish out.

The boy was now looking like he was ready to eat his words, he hadn't been expecting this. He grit his teeth and pointed at the Bayleef. "Headbutt!"

Rosemary took the hit, quite happy to reverse it back double on her opponenet. Her new size yielded new stamina as well, and she jumped backwards, finishing Aron with a barage of Razor Leaves. Looking sheepish, the boy uttered a quick apology, recalled his Aron into the Great Ball he carried, and rushed off. Kasiya ran over to congratulate her Pokemon, only to have Rosemary faint in her arms. Kasiya held her tight. "You get a little bit more amazing every day," she smiled, kissing the Pokemon on the forehead before she recalled her. Standing up and looking around, Kasiya realized the closest Pokemon Center would probably be back in Petalburg. She unfolded her Acro Bike and climbed on, wincing a little as she hurried back to town.

It seemed to take forever to get back to Petalburg. Kasiya rode quickly, the pain in her ankle growing each time she pushed down on the pedals. She felt a little silly riding so fast, she wasn't in an amazing hurry, but she did want to get Rosemary treated as soon as possible. As she entered the city, she spotted Mike walking one way, with Portabello next to him. She wasn't sure if they'd seen her or not, and she kept riding until she arrived at the Pokemon Center. She clumsily folded up her bicycle, and carted it inside with her, handing over at first, Rosemary's Pokeball, but then, all of them, just for good measure. She dropped the folded Acro Bike on the ground, and collapsed on the couch, her trobbing ankle the only thing she could concentrate on at the moment.

((All rightie. Do you mind if Dante calls Kasiya? He has her number now and you could get your card that way, or you can do it some other way. Oh yeah I updated my pokemon sprites to the new ones anyone want me to update there's as well?))

After being tackled by his new pokemon he smiled at the it clearly happy for it. "You seem much better now, I bet its easier to move as well. What with wings and all." He picked himself up off the deck and looked at the pokemon floating in front of him. It clearly liked it's new levitate ability as well seeing as it wasn't flapping its wings to stay up. Bahamut gave a small cheer again befor doing a small flip in the air.

"We are now arriving at Slateport city. Everyone who wishes to get off here please make your way to the docking area." Came an anouncement.

"We better get going then shouldn't we?" Dante asked as Meowth hopped onto his shoulder eyeing the new pokemon curiosly. Bahamut cheered again and levitating behind his trainer as they decended to the lower decks.

"What the hell?" Sabrina said, looking around when she had reached the bottom of the stairway. "What IS this place?" It was excessively large, and stored with various items and equipment. There were several other rooms that were similar to the first, and after traveling through a few of them, they stopped in a room with purple walls, an Aipom statue, and miscellaneous items strewn about the room. Sabrina noticed that Nina looked confused. "What's wrong?" she asked.

"I... don't get it," Nina said. "In my vision, it was right here that the strange machine was. You know, the one that the Electrodes were powering? But, this doesn't make sense... It was right here. I'm sure of it." Nina sat down, and set Sakuya on the ground. She started to run around and inspect everything, as Sabrina and Lance kneeled on either side of her. "Maybe I'm just... I don't know. Losing my touch or something."

"No you're not, Nina. And, you shouldn't blame yourself for this; I mean, how many other times were you able to help? You should think of it that way."

"Your sister is right," Lance replied. "I mean, you're beating yourself up over something like this-- it's not a big deal. What I think is that you were just frustrated and upset because Pryce and Gyarados were missing, and maybe your mind spurred a false vision. That's possible, isn't it?"

"Possible, yes, but it's pretty unlikely." Sabrina looked to her sister. "Don't worry though. Everybody has off days."

Nina nodded a little bit. "Yeah. I guess you're right. We'll just have to look around a little bit more, that's all." She stood, Sabrina and Lance following suit, and she looked over to Sakura, who was playing on the Aipom statue. "Come on, Sakura! We've gotta look around a little bit more." The Grass-type Pokemon agreed, and jumped down from the statue, landing on one of the Aipom's feet. Sakura ran over to her trainer and jumped in her arms. Nina smiled, and kissed her Pokemon's head. "I can't wait until you evolve. You'll make such a--" Nina's voice trailed off for a moment. A click could be heard in the background, and a strange grinding of metal could also be heard. "Do... you guys hear that?" Nina asked, looking to her comrades.

"It sounds like something's moving... But where's it coming from?" Lance looked confused.

"I'm not sure," Sabrina replied. A few moments later, the grinding noise got louder. Sabrina wore a look of concentration as she listened. "It sounds like it's... below us?"

"Impossible," Nina said. "This floor's completely solid---!!!" Nina was cut off as the floor opened up, and she, Sabrina, Lance, and Sakura fell downwards. They landed a few seconds later, breaking several boxes that they had landed on. "That... really hurt," Nina said, getting up and dusting herself off, picking Sakura up again. "Are you two alright?" She looked to Sabrina and Lance, who were on the ground. Slowly, they got up, and responded that they were fine. "That's good," Nina said. "Now let's..." Looking back up, Nina heard a faint humming, which came from the room in front of them. She ran into it, and stared in complete awe. She saw a great machine, which had three Electrodes hooked up on either side; they powered the machine. Hoisted above the machine was the red Gyarados-- it was hooked up to the machine as well. However, he wasn't powering the machine; rather, it seemed as though he was receiving whatever it was that the machine was giving off...
