BentoMaker_Yung-I Izarra Ok, um, my name is Greg, im 15 and a freshman in high school. I live in San Fransisco, one of the best theatre cities in the U.S. 3nodding .(only second to New York) I'm a techie, not an actor, but ive probably worked more shows than most of you(for an almost complete list look at BubbleGumPop's forum). I have an uber-cool part time job at the San Fransisco Performing Arts Center, and i have a summer job being a caretaker for a smaller theatre in downtown. 3nodding Theatre is all i really do, and its what i want to do for a living. its always been part of my life ever since i was about 7. if anyone has any questions about Technical theatre whatsoever, you all can pm me anytime you like. 3nodding San Fransisco does rock. But second only to New York in regards to theater? What about London's West End? xp xp yeah, you're right, i'll change it to in the us.

Hello to Everyone!
My name is Yung-I, the I is really pronounced like 'eee.' Why is it I? Ask my mother. xp
I'm currently a freshman over at New York University. I'm in Tisch School of the Arts; I'm a drama major in the Playwrights Horizons Theater School studio (don't be fooled by the name...it's not a writing studio).
I enjoy all types of theater; I'm huge into musicals. However, I hate a lot of mainstream musical theater; I love new works and obscure material. I'm making a return to the straight play, trying to study all the great playwrights. As wonderful as musicals are, I firmly believe that it is crippling as ANY actor to limit yourself to one perspective of the art.
Besides theater, I love writing; I'm working on the creation of two different shows with two of my friends. I'm big into all types of music (except country and rap...sorry!). I enjoy a great film or philosophical discussion, and I'm incredibly fascinated by literature and the written play.
Oh, and I CAN'T GET ENOUGH FOOD.

Hallo, Yung-I! Quote: I firmly believe that it is crippling as ANY actor to limit yourself to one perspective of the art. I totally agree. I try to learn as much as I can about everything. ^_^ It's quite a goal.

Well...I guess I should introduce myself...
Hello...my alias is Sakura...most people call me Sake...(I don't mind so much anymore Kitsune)...well...I'm alot older than all of you, it seems...I've been out of college for a while now...I've been doing theater for 15 years now, but have mostly been on the tech side of things...I have come to the conclusion that it is a bad idea for me to actually watch a show because I have a tendancy to look at the tech aspects anyway...it's like working on your day off and paying to do it...hahahaha...I love anime, manga, and RPG's and hang around on the Animerica Forum alot when I'm not here...if I forgot anything...just let me know..hahahah...

I haven't introduced myself yet. My name is Will and I am a Senior in High School in California. I really like musical theatre, but I do not have the singning voice for it. I'm a Baritone, and that is about it, unless I go into falsetto, then I can go pretty high. I have been part of theatre for only 4 years, I've been in about 9 productions and have directed 2 of them, but I love it and hope that I can still do it in college. However, I know that I would not be able to make it as an actor, so I'll just stick to science and act as a hobby. I have seen a few major productions and have been to Broadway once, where I saw Les Mis, but my favorite is still Phantom of the Opera.

My name is Melissa. I'm about 18. I'm in high school (I should be a Senior, but I have only enough credits to be a Sophomore from skipping in the past, but the computers messed up and made me a Junior. Which means an extra year in Drama class, to look at the bright side of things). I've been in a couple of school productions, my favorite being "The Actor's Nightmare". I haven't seen any broadway shows crying But I see a lot of plays at high school competitions.

Hello! I'm Madsie. I'm in the 8th grade...but don't be closed-minded. That doesn't mean I'm stupid. I live near Philadelphia, PA. I've been doing theatre since 6th grade...unless you count that one play at the JCC when I was 6. Ha, that was an awful play....well, I guess for 4-9 year olds it wasn't bad....oh yeah, I do that sometimes. I mean, go off rambling. I'm a complete geek and when I'm not acting or singing I'm reading, drawing, surfing the net, or playing video games....yep. I don't think I want to go into acting for a living, but it'll probably be a hobby of mine for as long as possible. 3nodding

I'm Travis, I'm 17, and a senior at a high school in East Texas. When I graduate, I'm going to an instate school and majoring in musical theatre, and minoring in music, specializing in jazz trumpet. From there I want to transfer to Sarah Lawrence in New York and continue my education. Once I graduate I hope to keep living New York, and eventually break into Broadway.
Musical theatre is my passion, I'm a first Tenor with only a one-scale range, but by the end of school I hope to have two octaves down. My father is an actor and director, so I've been around it all my life. Aside from theatre, I love to make music. I've been playing the trumpet for a long time now, and jazz has always been what I'm best at. Also I'm a writer, though I never finish anything; I have half-written books all around my room.
I'm your standard, overly-emotional teenager, straight out of a girl's manga or something. I dress like it too... scarfs, sweaters, jackets, I'm an emo-kid. Sad, I know.
And I also dislike country and rap.

surprised Hey-lo! I'm new!
You can call me Maya. I'm a junior in high school in California. I've been in a number of NO shows. gonk But I've auditioned for 2 for my high school productions... I only got really interested in theater for a year or two, but got obsessed with musicals early this year. My favorite musical is Les Miserables. My current obssession is The Phantom of the Opera. I'm taking lessons in singing. I love to sing, sweatdrop but I'm not very good. I like to act gonk but I have a bad case of stage fright. I haven't seen any shows on Broadway, but I hope to!
Judging by my name, I love anime and manga! 3nodding I also love to cosplay and not only dress as a character, I like to act them out too.

Hi--my name is cory!
I've done a good deal of acting; I've taken many starring roles back in elementary school plays... though, as of late, I've been uninspired to act at all. I'm leaning much more toward becoming a performing musician. I've been playing piano 1 1/2 years, an I'm working hard to make up for the years that I've missed. My favorite band is Queen, and my favorite production was a Midsummer Night's Dream.

Wow, I just realized I've never post in here. Ok... Let's see...My name is Steph. I'm 19. I'm a part time student at Hofstra. I took the year off last year because I was cast in an off-broadway show and a bunch of other stuff. Also last year I really got into improv. and stuff like that, so I do shows at Upright Citizens Brigade at times now as well as NY Second City. I'm probably moving to Chicago within the year for Second City.
Even though I was somewhat successful in theatre I really like comedy more. I guess I just like the people more. Theatre is very "dog eats dog," it's extremely fake. Disgustingly fake. You don't make real friends within it. At least I didn't. When you get a job and everyone has a job people start thinking about the future and thinking what will come after this. So everyone starts cutting each other's throats to get close with the director and the producers and who ever they can, so they can have a next job. I just never liked how fake it was. I'm a lot happier with what I do now.
My favorite musical is The Mystery of Edwin Drood. I have a four octive range. Which is probably the most influential thing that got me the jobs I have gotten. You know, besides just total luck. Because that's all it really is, luck.
