A sweatdrop fell down the side of his face. "A .. after dinner? Im not sure really, I do have to get back home with what Spike wanted eventually. I would hate him to come looking for me I guess. That and I have to go clean those dishes and do another load of laundry."
He stared at the orders being passed out at the table further up and sighed. "Perhaps ... you could come with me. We have an extra room. And if your afraid of the goofs that I live with then dont worry, I know just how to deal with them. Or if you would rather me just .. meet you somewhere later.
I cant go with you, for some reason I think my friends would go fully insane without me and cause more chaos than a kid with a loaded gun. Then again Lupin really is a kid with a gun .. um..er .. " He leaned down and banged his head on the table a few times and sighed.

Aryn rested his hand were James was smashing his head into the table and noded. "I..If you think it's fine, I can come with. Fayt wont mind I'll just call so he doesnt worry." He knew the werewolf was protective over him, only because Aryn sometimes couldnt make good disions. There orders where brought to there table, the waiter smiled friendly asked if they needed anything then again scurried off to attend to other buisness. The werefox paused to fixate his silver eyes onto James. "And if you need any help doing something I'm willing to help." He added with a smile.

James eyes his food then slowly went after it with a fork. "Yes, it would be fine to just come over .. I assume. Dont you live with someone? Would he mind or anything? I wouldnt want t start any trouble. As for help its no big deal." He looked at his watch and twitched. "Besides, its too late to do what I needed to do anyway. Ill just have to deal with Spike."
James looked Aryn into his eyes and smiled again, telling himself not to worry about what the hell Spike would say. Its not like he would hurt him, just complain for a loooong while. Lupin would do something dumb and distract Spike from James eventually anyway.

Aryn noded in reply to James question "Yea. I live with a friend of mine. Fayt? He wont mind if I am out late I'll just have to leave him a message or something so he at least knows I'm fine." He chuckled under his breath and finished off his food, last time he'd forgotten to check in had been a state of pure panic and resulted in the werewolf literally hunting him down.
He watched James twitch and woundered silently if he was alright. The werefox secretly felt bad in a round about way for pushing himself on the squrriel. Finishing up his meal Aryn studied momentarily the desert section -it being out on the table- But knew it was just is sweet tooth talking not his full stomach.
"I didn't mean to make you late for anything.." He titled his head slightly at the squrriel, while he had questions on his mind he didnt quiet have the "balls" to say a few of them that ran threw his mind. Instead he smiled pleasantly but not overly (I'm trying to pretend so you dont notice)

James is normally overcheerful and helpful all the time. He felt weird though, nervous and twitchy. He couldnt quite place why he felt this way, it was either shock from having a new friend or him silently thinking about failing what he had promised to do. It wasnt just Spike that worried him, it was the fact he broke a promise to his friend. If not that it was the way he just.. felt about Aryn. He couldnt even explain that and it annoyed him quite a bit. People always called him smart and yet he felt dumb at the moment.
"It... its alright Aryn, I can just get it tomorrow. Would you caure for anything else to eat before we head off? I have enough to pay for desert as well I believe."

The werefox also couldnt place his own inner feelings everything, from his life to the people he'd met. Compared to the past this life was a eden. Smiling gently at James as he shook his head he patted at his stomach "Naw, I'm good. But thank you." He added politely. Frowning slightly he took mental note he owed James, for more than paying. For willing to stay and talk.
"Well tomarrow if you dont mind a tag along." He stratched the back of his head. It wasn't nice of him to ask like this.. But the truth was this, while he had other friends.. He found he didnt want to leave the others company. Even what little he knew him he enjoyed there time together greatly..But why a small distant voice in his mind asked.
The waiter walked around to pick up there dishes, offer deserts and place down there bill in a folded black envolp like container. He was off again to take there dishes and glasses off. Saying he'd pick up the tab when they were ready.

James leaned over the back of his chair, almost losing his balance. "I think ill skip the desert as well then, a few more pounds is not really what I need right now." He glanced at the bill and laughed a bit, knowing he might regret spending so much later. He pulled out his wallet and took out a small wad of bills. He counted the right amound then placed iton the table wrapped up in the bill along with a small tip for the waitor.
"Tag... along? Im guessing you have nowhere to go Aryn? Or is it maybe that you dont want me to .. leave? I think it wouldnt hurt for you to hang around a bit. Besides, perhaps Spike and Lupin could take a liking to you. They arent really bad... although they do have it out for eachother I think."

He blushed ever so slightly and felt bad. " I dont mean to toss myself at your door step, I'm sorry if I'm coming across like that." He left out the other half his mind screamed at him to share, of course he didnt want him to leave... Then he'd be lonely again and only have the people who'd in his mind been appoited as his care givers.. People who looked out for him, otherwise saw him as an innocent child needing his hand held.
"I could always..." He bit his lip unable to think. What meet you tomarrow? What was he thinking he'd only just meet him. Was he being foolish? Who knows. Looking back up at James now royally embarressed and had no way of diverting the topic.
The waiter offered a friendly smile upon returning, thanked them both for coming then scurried off once more.

James noticed Aryn blush and smiled. "I said you could stay, dont make me have to drag you back to my place. I ... dont know how to say this but .. I like talking to you. I know we just met, I said I was your friend though right? It seems so weird coming to someone's house the night they meet but... I dont see you harmful or a threat. I know what its like not to have many friends. I know wha its like to be ... shunned apon by others. For some reason I see a part of me in your eyes..."
James tweaked and started banging his head apon the table again, wondering what the hell was wrong with him.
"I..I.. I think we shoud go before I fracture my skull or something ... Shall we?"
He banged his head a few more times before getting up and trying to ignore the stares from everyone. The door was in site ... he walked towards it trying to ignore the fact he felt dumb.

Aryn reached across the table and placed his hand in the way so James didnt literally contuine smashing his skull. The words rang in his mind, he wasnt the only one who felt the odd conection if not pull between them. Offering James a small smile he whispered "No, we wouldnt want you hurting yourself. Thats no good."
When a couple shot him a look the werefox actually had the guts to glare back, it was time people stop treating him like he was an sounding bord for them to poke fun at. Walking beside James he looked over at him.
"Thank you by the way.. But yes, I consider you a friend too.. One I can talk to. I know what you mean about it being alittle weird.. But still." He steped into the chilled october night greeted by the swirling night. His small frame shivered slightly as his hair was teased in the wind. Turning back to his new found friend he tried not to giggle suddenly feeling a burst of engry coming on. He was strange like that, looking at James he ever so slightly lost his smile. Aryn hoped James wasnt stressing out over him, he got the odd feeling like him, James was utterly confused.

James wasnt used to stress considering he loved to work so therefore he didnt have it very often. Seeing Aryn glare back at other couple made him feel even weirder than before. Seeing the night sky calmed him a bit. He took off his coat and put it over Aryn, seeing him shiver in the cold. He stretched then looked around, trying to find the path he needed to walk home. He wondered what kind of greeting he would get walking in the door at midnight with another guy.

Aryn looked up at James, he knew he should have most likely left the couple alone, but the werefox also knew in a part of himself he didnt mind. The jacket kept the cold wind off his bare arms. His silver eyes showed there apprication. Yet he suddenly felt weird, he was about to walk into some one else house were he lived with two other people... This late. Oh well he supposed.
They walked down the trail Aryn felt vaguly edgy something has set the foxs inner senses off. The sensation never stoped, SOMETHING was near by. What ever it was..It was poweful and made his skin crawl. Drawing the jacket alittle tighter against him he walked on his boots crunching here and there against the changing leaves. Silver and black hair ever so slightly was teased by the on coming winds. Turning to glance up at James he added "Isnt... Samhain coming soon?" He looked to decorated houses with various decorations blinking slightly.

"Yes, Samhain is soon. Though the little kids around here prefer the term Halloween and knocking on our doors for candy. I suppose I need to get Spike out of the house again this year. .He doesnt er.. like kids much."
He walked into the driveway of his house and was surprised to see no lights on. He pulled his keys from his pocket and unlocked the door and stepped inside. He turned on the light and found a note on the table.
"Um.. you wont have the pleasure of meeting my room mates. It seems they ran off and forgot to mention where" Forgot my a**. James sighed. They left the loaction out of purpose meaning they are getting in trouble most likely.
"Make... yourself at home I suppose? There is a spare bed down the hall. I can fix it later once your actually ready for bed."

Aryn noded slightly, almost like a curious child. "So the dress up and go candy hunting?" The werefox had a gleam that hadn't been there for years, he was absolutly enthralled by the idea. He was use to "halloween" being the day the dead walked the earth, and when some rituals where most strongest. Not going out dressed up really.
As he steped through the door and glanced around curiously at the house. Pausing he looked at James he could sense he almost sounded worried and it was understandable. He honestly felt bad but kept his thoughts to himself. He paused to bit at his lower lip his gesture at thought. " I could always sleep on the sofa or floor." He didnt add he could easily sleep outside, being use to it and comfortable doing so.

"Yes .... what was once a day of the dead is now filled with little kids running around pretending to be who they are not. They knock on complete strangers houses for .. candy. I worry about this world ..." He wandered into the living room and cleared the sofa of the beer cans from Spike and Lupin and plopped down near the end.
"If your worried about me dont worry. Im just.. wondering where the hell those two ran off. Im sure they are fine.... as stubborn as they are I know they can half-a** take care fo themselves"
"I couldnt possibly make you sleep in anything other than a bed. I shall put on the sheets and blanket when you feel its time for bed. I dont know ... what you would like to do now though. We have movies here and some video games. I ... have my own card games and books. I dont know what you would prefer."
