Mafa frowned,
"That's dumb, leaving your family that is...Anyways, I'm Mafa"
She noticed Tukutu shifting about, she had no idea what he was doing but she knew she didn't want to be in his presence much longer, she didn't like him, not at all, he was a mean, rude male and that is never cool. She stood and turned her back to him,
"I'm going to go look for Banzai, you can come along if you wanna."
With that she trotted off, but she didn't get to far before she heard a strangers howl. She had no idea who this was but she knew one thing, lion couldn't howl, so it must be another hyena! She grinned and barked back loudly and then took off in the direction of the others call.

Tukutu grumbled. Dumb? Dumb?! His family was the dumb ones. Always beating him up...never feeding him. Pfft. Family was nothing but a pathetic word to his ears now. Also hearing the strangers call, he was intrigued about who could be so foolish as to letting them know their whereabouts. Gramps was mean enough as it is, and he barely even knew who else lived around here. With a grunt, he got up and slowly padded after Mafa.

The new hyena pup's ears picked up another's return to her call. She continued to pant in the way young pups do, but her tail also began to wag excitedly. Her eyes darted back and forth, anxiously waiting to see if the others were heading her way or not. The new pup was rather patient, despite her anxious manners.

Tukutu continued to follow Mafa, wondering where the heck she was taking him. He grunted, making sure to not trip on a bone that was in his path, watching the ground. He ducked under a tusk and wiggled out from between it and the ground, finally being able to see a part of Mafa from behind. How the heck could she have so much energy over everything? It was ridiculous, he though.

Banzai twitched and spazzed as he finally got back to where Shenzi and Mafa had been and weren't now. From a distance, one might have thought he was really Ed. And now he was hearing howls! What's up with that? He growled, all too audibly. He raised his muzzle high into the air, nearly standing on his hind quarters. He called out at the top of his lungs.
"SHENZI! MAFA! YOU GET YOUR BUTTS BACK HERE NOW!" This call echoed around the misty graveyard. Had there not been such a strong mist, he'd have been able to see that he was standing only 10 feet from Mafa and her new companion. As for Shenzi and the howler, there wasn't even a scent of them.

The Hyena pup stood up and began to circle around the elephant tusk jutting out of the ground. Her tail still waved back and forth in a rapid manner as she walked about the tusk. Suddenly, a rather abrupt call echoed all around her.
"SHENZI! MAFA! YOU GET YOUR BUTTS BACK HERE NOW!"
The pup stopped in place and her red eyes began to dart about, looking to see where the sound was coming from. However, the mist cleverly hid practically everything around her. Her brow lowered slightly and she snorted a bit, since things were taking longer than she had hoped. She then trotted approximately 5 feet west and howled out again "HuLLOOOOOOOOOOOOO?!!!" Again, her ear perked up, awaiting a possible response.

((Lizzy, just wanna say that I love your picture of the hyena pups. It's ADORABLE. XD))
Banzai was getting quite annoyed now. He lay down and placed his paws over his head as to reduce sound. Amazingly, by reducing the sound he some how heard it better... The howling was actually that of a pup's. A female at that. Was it Mafa? That was just like her to wander off... He got up and turned around, running off in the direction of the lonely pup on the edge of the graveyard. Honestly, he had thought she was smarter than that... And yet he, unawaredly, was walking in the opposite direction of the real pup, shrouded in mist.
He bound over bone and rock, sniffing the air every now and then. It probably would have been better if he had taken in her scent earlier. Then there wouldn't be this problem. Ohhhh, he wanted food! That carcass they'd found earlier wasn't enough to tied him over. It had probably been dead for several weeks anyway... He hadn't heard anymore cries from the pup, but he was sure she was this way...
He noticed a very large elephant tusk jutting out of the ground now, and with that the small, black fuzz of a pup. A malicious glare crossed his eyes and he slackened his pace, now padding gently towards her. "Mafa... What ARE you doing!? Crazy pup..."

((Thankies Fura... if I may call you that whee ))
The pup nearly fell over at the sudden new found company. Her eyes widened with surprize, she looked up to the much taller adult hyena and asked "What's a 'Mafa'?" In her mind, she bounced all sorts of ideas as to what a "Mafa" could be. Was it an animal? Food? Plant? Bone? As all the random possibilities weaved through her mind, her body began to pace back and forth on its own in front of the adult. The pup pretty much forgot about the new company there, which she was practically begging for earlier.

Mafa heard her name echo out through the graveyard, it was Banzai, and she couldn't have been happier to hear his voice. She picked up her pace, maybe Banzai had also heard the howls of that other pup and come to see what was happening. As she neared them, she saw two figures, an adult and a pup. She heard the pup speak, "What's a Mafa" She said. Mafa puffed up and trotted to the pups front, looking straight into a pair of blood red eyes,
"I'm a Mafa, that's what!"
Her gaze slowly shifted to Banzai and her tail went crazy. She bounded up to his side and nuzzled his leg,
"Why'd ya hafa get lost like that?"

The pup was stopped in mid-pace by another pup.
"I'm a Mafa, that's what!"
The newer pup stood there, and her tail began to waggle back and forth, thinking she understood what the other pup meant. "So... a Mafa is what ya call hyena pups around here then? Eh?" The newer pup gazed at the other two awaiting an answer, panting happily.

Hiding in the shadows, Tukutu watches the three of them silently. Soon, his mind goes off on itself. What were they doing? How could they just act all happy over nothing? There wasn't any food with them. Just a stupid new pup. Pfft. Another female too. Probably just like Mafa. Will hate me no matter what. No one likes me. His mind was at war with himself, chittering like a pair on monkeys. He grimaces and slinked underneath some dead plants, trying to hide from everything around himself.

Banzai mentally smacked himself as he came to realize the pup he'd found wasn't Mafa. Now not only did he have to find this pup's mommy, he had to do it without Shenzi! Gah! Now to answer these stupid questions... He began circling around Mafa, as he usually did to the object of his attention. "I'm not the one who ran off for no reason... Where is Shenzi? Did you run away from her? Jeeze, I leave you alone for one second and you go running off! Psh..."
He plopped his rump down on the dirt, sending up dust, then pointed his muzzle directly at the other... thing... "No, stupid. Mafa is her name. I don't know if you even have a name, but we call hyena pups hyena pups. Or scum... Heheheh."

"I have a name!" the pup yipped at the adult in rebuttal. "It's Kicheko! Though I can already tell ya don't want lil' ol' Kicheko around..."
Kicheko then trotted away from the familiar group, her apparent cheery disposition not even scratched by the insults the adult had labeled her with. She hadn't even made it 5 feet away from the group when her nose picked up a new scent, that of another hyena, and it was close by!
The red eyed pup promptly brought her nose to the ground and began to trail the new found scent. Eventually, her shiny black nose had brought her to a small patch of dead or nearly dying plants. Hmmmm... perhaps my nose is playing tricks on me? she thought to herself. However, she was curious if something was there, so she ventured to calling out "Hullooo?"

Mafa narrowed her eyes after the new pup, what exactly was she doing? Couldn't she see that stupid mutt Tukutu sulking around those dead plants. She shook her head, Kicheko wasn't exactly the most black and white zebra in the herd ((Hahahahahha, crack me self up xD)), but it was nice to have another pup around that didn't always sling insults around, she glared at Tukutu's hiding spot before peering up at Banzai,
"I didn't run off! There was just this lion and it was running around and I bet it wanted to eat me so I ran away to hide, I bet Shenzi got scared to and is hiding right now! OH MAN BANZAI WE HAFFA SAVE HER FROM THOSE NASTY LIONS!"
Mafa turned about frantically, getting herself more scared as she did so. Man, she hoped those lions were gone by now...

Tukutu grumbled to himself. He thought he was harder to see then that. He silently glared at Mafa. That thing was a nusence. Shrugging mentally to himself, he grinned as the other pup came closer. Time to make things roll. Tukutu made the bushes rustle a bit before zooming out of them and into the front of the other pup there. Being a male, and taking the initative, he loomed over her and smirked.
"Why, 'ello 'ere, Miss Kicheko."
He was smirking at himself, too. Perhaps he'd be able to be a bit more rough with this one than that Mafa. Then he wouldn't be alone so much, and have something worthwhile to do.
