zach61092 `Chloe Sullivan` I highly doubt that about Clana. no hope there. She forgave Lex pretty easily. considering he sent a pole through her hand rolleyes what do you highly doubt about clana? I think she means, and correct me if I'm wrong, Chloe, but I think she means that she doesn't think Clana will get back together, and definately not just b/c of her messed up relationship with Lex. Since Lana seemed to forgive Lex for something as big as stabbing her through the hand with a katana, it seems like she's probably not going back to Clark anytime soon...when Clark never did anything close to that evil to her.....Ever! but, of course, she knew that Lex wasn't himself, and, when Clark was on Red K and treated her so badly, she didn't really have the knowledge that it wasn't entirely him doing that. But still, forgiving Lex and not Clark? The girl has some issues.

I don't think she has issues. I mean Lex had a perfect explanation for his sudden personality change. Clark however, doesn't have anything to back his claim and Lana can't be with anyone that she knows wont tell her anything. Communication is a big part of a relationship, and so is trust. Clark can't provide any of that for her but Lex can.

ooh, ooh, I just had a major thought! So, on Krypton, Clark's race of people don't have superpowers b/c gravity is greater and they live under a red sun, which neutralizes their allergic reaction to kryptonite. on earth, there is less gravity, and Clark gets his energy from the yellow sun (and is also allergic to the kryptonite). Well.....Zod wants to turn earth into Krypton, but it will still be under a yellow sun...thus still promoting the adverse affect to kryptonite. BUT, that's not my main point. Zod was probably crazy to try this at all, but his choice of having a human, Lana, produce his heirs wouldn't have worked. If he did succeed in making earth like Krypton, wouldn't the gravity be much greater? and wouldn't lana thus have a much more difficult time just living? There's no way she'd be able to live and produce children for him, even if his plan had worked.

referring to first page abut Chloe liking Jimmy more:
I highly highly doubt Chloe likes Jimmy more then Clark. Chloe will ALWAYS love Clark. jimmy gives her an excuse and distraction from her feelings for Clark. By having Jimmy she will feel less of a sexual obligation to her best friend. She wants to preserve her and Clark's friendship and is choosing for them to be friends first rather then lovers. I think she is afraid that Clark might at some point feel like he can't come to Chloe for some reason. So Chloe has taken the mature step in realizing how precious Clark's Friendship is to her, she would rather always be there for Clark as his best friend rather then his girlfriend who, if something comes between them, would be fractured forever.
AS for Faith, your last comment. The Gravity and Yellow sun doesn't have too much to do with Clark's allergic reaction to kryptonite. He is only allergic to radioactive Kryptonite. Because there are other Kryptonites that he isn't really allergic to, aka Black Kryptonite, silver Kryptonite, White Kryptonite, Red K etc. They can all harm or effect him in some way or another but he isn't necessarily allergic to all of them. Zod was changing the earth's physical apparatus so that it was the same as Krypton, which would basically make the yellow sun the equivelent to the red sun. Seeing as Clark would have the same powers as him, Zod would rather have himself be ruler and powerless then be ruler but have an equal. His Heir idea had potential to work, DNA and chromosomes are everything....

If it really was the same as krypton (for the end result of its changing) then a regular human would at least be dibilitated. If Clark and Zod would live on Krypton like a normal human lives on earth, then regular humans would hardly be able to walk. I'm not so much debating about whether Zod's heirs would be able to live normally, but whether Lana would be able to live and produce heirs when the gravity change lessens her physical abilities.

earth would still have the same gravity. Humans wouldn;t really be at a disadvantage, they would learn to adapt. You put a ffish in Cold water either it lives or it dies.

As far as gravity is concered Faith, it wouldn't change so drastically to make that big of a differance to anyone... after all basic science has proven that matter can't be created or destroyed with out createing or destroying some other form of matter to do so... and so no matter what Zods fancy techtonic lazer thing was doing earths mass would more or less remain what it is...
Earth= Mini Krypton
As far as kryptonite goes however, Earth would be a giant chunk of green K... (That is ofcourse if Zod where changing the chemical properties of the Earth as well as it's shape)... After all all kryptonite is more or less green, untill it under goes change a chemical (like red K and black K) or if it is synthetisized useing the base elements of green K (silver K)... Reguardless what form of kryptonite the earth is changed into had that be the case, It would still have an adverse effect on any kryptonian on the planet and probubly a few hundred miles away from the planet...

That was some major things happening for the first episode. Lana's beautiful hand got owned by Zod though. Too bad Clark lucks out again, even in the end with Chloe because of 'lil reporter boy (Mr. Iceman - XMen) We'll see how the rest of the show turns out.
