"It was my pleasure, Byakko. I'm just glad that you enjoyed it," the feline said gently with a smile as she began to carry as many dishes as she could into the kitchen. Filling the sink with water and dish soap, she turned around to wait for him. "I guess...this means that our evening is over, huh?" Raelen asked softly, smiling tenderly. As blissful as the evening was with him, she had known that it wouldn't last forever and had to end sometime.

"Almost." Byakko smiled and came to rest several dishes in the sink and smiled to her. "I have.. something I wish to ask you.. but later. When you have time." He picked up a dry towel. "May I help?

Raelen tilted her head to the side curiously before smiling and nodding softly. "Of course you may. As soon as we finish with the dishes, you'll have plenty of time to ask me whatever is on your mind," the feline said gently as she began to scrub the dishes and hand them to him to be washed and dried off. With two of them working, and not that many dishes to clean, it shouldn't take too long.

Byakko dried and stacked the dishes off to the side of the counter. When they finished, he moved over to Raelen, and carefully dried her hands with the towel he held. He set it down on the counter and smiled to her, offering out his armored hand to her once more.

The feline gently placed her hand in his, curious as to what he wanted to ask. Smiling tenderly, she gazed up at him and cocked her head to the side cutely, her blue ears flicking softly. "You...wanted to ask me something, Byakko?"

The hawk elder led her back outside where the heavens could shine down from above. Byakko took in a deep breath and stared at her for a few minutes before he asked slowly. "Would you.. like to.. dance with me?" His heart was POUNDING out of his chest! What would she say?!

Raelen smiled and giggled lightly, though her heart was beating rather rapidly as well as nervousness grew on her and welled up. She...wasn't a very good dancer at all, and she didn't want to mess up dancing with someone so skilled as Byakko...but she also didn't want to say no. She wanted to dance with him. Pursing her lips together, she slowly nodded her head after a moment of thought. "Yes, Byakko...Of course I will dance with you."

"Are you sure?" A blush was covering his face. "Because to me.. to dance with me.. is to accept.." He turned his face away and whispered. "Being my mate.." He seemed so embarrassed to say such things. He then whipped his head back around, long light blue lockes flying around him. "Of course, you can always say no! I would understand completely!"

Raelen blinked, and her face flushed completely. Blinking her emerald eyes a few times, she simply sat in a state of shock. Shaking her head a couple of times, trying to make the shock go away, she took a deep breath and exhaled it softly, smiling tenderly at him while gazing lovingly up towards his blue hues. "I've never been more sure about anything in my life, Byakko...I will dance with you, and I will be your mate.."

Byakko gasped and looked shocked, eyes blinking afew times. He then smiled and kissed her quickly and took her into his arms, embracing her tightly. "Oh Raelen... thank you.." Letting her go, he stepped back, one arm behind his back, his other across his stomach as he bowed to her, then the arm infront extended, hand out to her.

Purring at the quick kiss and tight embrace, too slow to react back. Not knowing what to say when Byakko thanked her, she stayed quiet for a few moments before she curtsied and gently took his hand. "I love you," was her quiet reply to him.

"And I, you, dearest Raelen." With a quick movement of his arm, he pulled her body to his, one arm coming around her waist to hold her tight against him, as his other hand that held hers was high in the air beside him. With his eyes closed, and his head bowed, he began to lead the feline into a waltz.

Raelen willingly moved her body into his, allowing him to lead her into the dance. For being a feline, her dancing wasn't near as graceful as it probably should have been...perhaps because her heart was pounding at such a loud volume that it rang in her ears. Calming herself down, she followed his steps, and soon became light on her feet, purring, eyes shining.

Byakko's eyes partly openned to see that Raelen had come to enjoy the sway of their two bodys, her heart against his, and her beating now slowing and suddenly moving into a purr. His lips pressed to her cheek as he took her into a twirl around in a circle, the moonlight shinign down onto them. Her red lockes in this light were.. magnificant. "You are beautiful.." his voice whispered to her quietly.

Raelen continued purring, resting her head against his shoulder after he had pressed the kiss to her cheek. Closing her eyes with a smile, she lifted her head once more and gazed up at him. Byakko, in the moonlight, altogether was a magnificant sight. "And you're too sweet," she said softly before smiling a bit more, "..but I like it."
