"Uh... we'll just say she's following Shinku." Rivera sensed her guardian flittering off right after Shinku's car. "She's gotten attatched to his car, I think." Rivera buckled her seat belt. After watching that race, she was pretty sure she didnt' want to know what happens if she doesn't buckle up and they manage to speed up. "I dunno... I'm still not used to riding in cars. They don't seem to like me."

"Oh... She's a little bit strange huh?" Kira asked curiously and started driving to the school parking lot. It took him a few minutes, but he found an empty space and parked. He then opened the door and stepped out. "Well then... Off to the springs I guess..." He muttered and opened Rivera's door for her.

Hitomi walked into the racing club, her large blue eyes examining the area. Of coirse, it seemed a lot less scary than last time, because Emiko was with her. She had now become used to being somewhat possessed, but it was alright, because Hitomi could see.
"Excuse me, but do you know where Shinku is?" She asked the bar tender quietly.
"Sorry, haven't seen 'im."
"O-Oh..." she sighed quietly. She walked back out of the front door, looking up at the night sky. She remembered still, though it happened a few months ago. The same sky, same spot.
"We met in this place... right Shinku?" She asked the air, as if Shinku was there with her.

Shinku was brooding alone in a private area after his race with Kira. He had been beaten, and had to get massive repairs on his car. Had to do a complete overhaul. "Dammit... Why the hell do they have to be here... I had to leave Hitomi for a few days because of damn bounty hunters coming after me... And now Kira and Rivera are really alive?" He thought aloud. "This sucks..." He grumbled before downing his drink.

The bar tender looked over at Shinku's moping, and said to a waitress, "When you go to refill his drink, tell him that some one is waiting outside for him, hm?" The waitress merely nodded, wlaking over to the table. She refilled his drink, saying softly, "There's someone waiting outside for you, sir. You should go see them."

"Fine..." Shinku said quietly. He walked out of the private booth and into the bar area and looked around. Hitomi was there. Ah s**t... Not what I needed... I love her but I can't afford to let her get hurt... He thought alarmed. He tried to turn to go back for his booth but felt a strong hand clamp onto his wrist. "Shinku Zetsumei? Nothing personal..." The voice growled out and Shinku felt a gun in his back, aiming for his heart. He wrenched free and kicked upward, but the bullet caught his right arm. He drew his silver revolver with his left hand and shot it once, straight into the man's face. He then tried to run out of the club to his car, hoping to find a new hiding place.

Hitomi's face expression quickly changed from calm to alarmed. She watched the quarrel, terrified, watching the man fall. She saw Shinku run away from the scene, and Hitomi almost began to cry. She remembered that he said bounty hunters were after him, and she understood that.
"Shinku-san! Stop!" She demanded, a great strain in her voice. She almost seemd to be begging though, as she fell to the ground, her head sinking. She felt tears fall.
"I know that those people are chasing after you, and you don't want me to get hurt, Shinku-san. I know this. Even though it's only been a few days, it feels like it's been months! I miss you so much!" She sobbed, wiping her tears, puching herself back up.
"Just because these people are tough, it dosn't mean I'm not! You could at least... talk to me more, Shinku because I..." She choked, letting out a small cough. "I love you, Shinku-san."

Shinku felt a tragic grief when he stopped, hearing her words, but the pause in his running movement gave enough time for the hitman's partner to draw a weapon and fire at shinku, the bullet hit in Shinku's chest, right when he fired, killing the other man. He fell to the ground, not sure if he was alive or dead as a peaceful darkness overtook him.

Hitomi gasped, letting out a horrifying scream. "Shinku! Shinku!" she cried, shaking him lightly. She didn't know if he was dead or not, but he was in trouble. "Don't die, Shinku! You can't die!" She shouted. She Held his body up to her closly, and she wished as hard as she could that he would be alright. Her white garb was once more being stained with blood.
The tattoos on her back gave a strong, silvery glow as she felt the flowing of blood stop. She pulled him away slightly, watching the wound in his chest slowly close up. With this fact, Hitomi held Shinku to her tighter than ever, tears falling onto his face as she tried to heal him.
"Shinku..." she whispered, seeing the last bit of the wound close. She tried to stand up, pulling Shinku's body with her, yet he seemd so heavy, and her arms couldn't keep hold. Her head became light and airy, and she felt herself falling. She landed on Shinku, her head to his chest.
Thump. Thump.
Was that her, or was it Shinku?

Shinku woke up, feeling a weight on his chest. "What the hell...." He mumbled quietly then sat up, feeling Hitomi slide down a bit. He picked her up quickly and checked her pulse, his eyes full of alarm and guilt. "Hitomi..? Are you alive? Hitomi?" He asked urgently.

---still unconcious, visit to the heart---
Hitomi walkked along the mirrored halls, examining her reflection as she walked. Her boots made a soft click as she walked on the blue, marble floors, sound bouncing off of the mirrors, leaving a subtle echo. Why was this place so empty? In fact, where was she? Did she die? Was she in Heaven or the Underworld?
These questions seemed unanswerable. She did not feel Emiko's presence, for she must have fused out, yet she felt someone elses presence. Something far from human. Hitomi shivered, closing her winter-blue eyes slowly, taking in a deep breath. She halted, seeing rather large, white double doors; the first door within the entire area. After walking down winding hallways, she finally came to the door. Above, there were words engraves on a piece of metal that was molded like ribbon, though Hitomi couldn't make them out.
The Most Sacred Place is the Heart.
"Where am I?" She asked quietly, walking through the white doors slowly. The room was where the entire place stopped, or was it where it began? She couldn't tell, but either way, it was a dead end. She blinked once at the empty room, but as soon as she opened her eyes again, only one thing was there, in the mirrors. It was an image of Shinku, staring straight at her. Hitomi put her hands on her chest, right where her heart would be. It hurt so much, for some reaon, but why? She sat down on the cold floor, just staring at the image of Shinku that seemed to breathe. She just, thought.
"I think it's because I..." She said to herself, "because I'm worried, and how... sad I would be if he dissappeared. I don't think I could... live without Shinku..." she continued, wiping her eyes quickly, "and how sad he would be if I died on him..."
Hitomi sttod up once more, walking towards the image of Shinku. It held it's arms out, and Hitomi walked into the mirror, which seemd to dissappear, along with the rest of the room. Shinku was calling for her, she could tell.
---------------
Hitomi merely stirred, her eyes slowly opening a few moments after. She smiled as she curled up against him, saying, "Of course...I'm alive. You are too... so, stop getting yourself hurt... Shinku." She sighed, wondering if she would ever see that place again... would it ever change? She only smiled, realizing what it was. She realized that the place where she was... was her heart. Of all places, she had visited her heart.
"How are you feeling?" She asked slowly, letting out a small yawn.

"I'm alright... But I told you not to look for me until I knew I was safe..." Shinku said quietly. It's all because of those two... But... I think... I'll need their help if I'm going to be able to relax a little... He thought agitatedly. "I don't want to risk losing you Hitomi... I love you too..." He muttered quietly. "Well... C'mon... We shouldn't stay here on the floor unless we want to get trampled..." He said quietly, picking her up and walking back to his private booth.

"I know..." Hitomi complained, "but I missed you. Truly, I did." she added. She followed Him quietly, in deep thought. "Take me with you then! I can fight to!" She said cheerfully, guessing that his answer would be something like "no way!", though Hitomi was persistent. Then she continued to think, her wintery blue eyes slowly losing their vision as Emiko fused out. She could hear her small, mischievious giggle as she streched.
Emiko laughed playfully, examining Shinku and Hitomi. "Hello!" She chirped, her friend Raijin appearing next to her. Raijin remained silent, for he was unfamiliar with Shinku, and he was in a public place.
Hitomi almost seemd to be in a trance as she thought about her visit to her rather... empty heart. It seemed to crush her inside, but she paid no mind.

"Listen... I know you want to help me but I can't take that chance... I need you to stay somewhere safe... Where you can't get hurt..." Shinku told her quietly. "I'm sorry Hitomi... I can't let you stay with me... No matter how much I want to cave in to you..." He finished quietly, ordering a glass of bourbon.

"Don't pre-judge me as weak!" Hitomi nearly shouted, closing her eyes. I bet that if I was normal, it would be different. Just because I'm blind, though, it dosn't mean I'm weak!" She pouted, crossing her arms scournfully. What made her seem so weak?
Emiko looked at Hitomi pout, blinking a few times. "Miss Hitomiiii... Miss Hitomiii..." she asked, waving a see-through hand in front of her face.
"Shinku, you have to let me go!" Hitomi suddenly shouted.
