"I'm sure it will. Mommi says they look cool off the water and stuff." Paki said brightly, scratching at his belly faintly and smiling with his white little muzzle at his dad.

Licking his father's nose brightly, the little cub trotted in circles around the larger male and wagged his chocolate tail slightly, his paws making little wet marks on the grass.

"One day I'll see them, but I won't 'see' them, neh?" Paki said, making it less of a question than just a randomly stated fact. He knew one day he'd see stars, but he knew that it wouldn't be in the sky that he found them, they would be in a heart.

Kifijo nodded, studying the twinklers for a bit.

"She's right about that. And you are, too. You never know. Your stars will probably be really shiny and really happy, dancing all around the place like we do when we're happy."

Kif rolled off the rock, nudging Paki as he did. His paws started to dance a little bit, a tap here and a bounce there.

"And," he continued, "I'll bet that your stars will be the envy of all the other stars, even if they can't see each other and I can't see yours. They're still there."

Grinning at his father as he sensed him starting to dance under the apparent stars, Paki clapped both his front paws together and started zigging around in his own little form of a dance, his tail kinking back and forth as he did it. The entire time a smile was plastered across his white muzzle and the cub bounced about.

He'd danced before, but only by himself, never with any of his family nor with anyone else that he knew of. Paki was fairly certain that his dancing must have been a kick to look at, considering how bizzarely placed he was when he did anything. Yet he ultimately failed to care even the slightest about it and rather liked his dancing, thank you.

"The envy of all? That would be cool. Maybe someday I can show the stars to Nitesh and prove to him that mine are better." A beaming grin crossed Paki's white muzzle and he nodded his mocha head sharply.

Father and son danced under the darkening sky, the twinkling stars, the cool breeze floating by. It was the most bonding time he had spent with Paki in a while, and he was liking it.

The cub was really dancing, and he was keeping whatever time they had not established before hand. They were dancing to the songs in their heads.

"Haha. That's my boy, showing that your stars are better than your brother's."

Paki spun in a happy circle and nearly fell over but balanced on his front paws and chest in time to push his hind legs in the air and make it look like a purposeful hand stand.

Then he fell over.

"D'you think my stars are brighter than Nitesh's Pappi?" Paki glanced up blindly at his dad and smiled, showing off every tooth in his muzzle.

Kifijo chuckled, not moving to help Paki up or to catch him. The grass was soft enough anyway.

"I don't know. Both of your stars are too tiny for me to see right now. Once you grow a bit older, I think I can try and make some out, but I won't know for sure until you're all grown up.

"And even then, I think they'll be the same. Just because you'll both have different experiences and feelings that feed on to the twinkle of your stars, and each set is different. Yours might be brighter, but Nitesh's might dance more. It all depends. But for now, I think tonight's stars are very bright." He looked up into the now-darkened sky, and at the stars winking at them.

"Sun is all gone, now, and Moon is now rising to take her place and watch over us while we sleep. And all the stars are out dancing, now, having a fun time because it is so dark and they can run around as they like."

"Tiny?" Paki said in a gruff voice suddenly and glared with his blind eyes over in the direction of his father. There was something he knew in his life and that was that he was by no means small at all. All of his siblings were smaller than him, he could tell just from where they laid next to him and how they were around him and when he stood next to Nitesh he realized that he was almost an entire shoulder taller than his brother.

"The sun's always gone, but we just keep moving towards the dawn don't we?" Paki said suddenly, looking down at his paws tiredly before spinning brightly on one of his paws and flopping to his side.

Kifijo shrugged. "Only you can see your own stars. I can only see mine, and your mother can only see hers. We try to share what they are with each other, to try and connect with each other, but the stars are our own to watch."

What Paki said was strangely true, but Kif didn't comment on it for he was thinking of what the cub had asked. 'The sun's always gone, but we just keep moving towards the dawn.' It was true.

Everyday, they moved toward the light. And even for the split second it was directly in front of them, they were still moving, and to another day, and to another dawn.

"You most certainly did not get your wise insight from me. I have no deep ponderings at all. You spent too much time around your sister."

Alright everyone! It's time to move on a little bit into the evening for the main event! I'll be writing a -TIME SKIP- post, so please respond accordingly with the time-lapse!

-----------------------------------------------

After it seemed that everyone had gathered, and there'd been time for everyone to eat and socialize, they were drawing towards the crowning point of the full moon. Mteule turned to his mate and his brother, as well as his recently found sister (Chamiyu) and smiled, nodding. It was time.

He led the queen to the shore of the lake, near the front and center.
