Mafa had followed Banzai the few short steps he had taken back to the lions. She was happy, but not happy to be going back to them. She watched the adult say something and laugh about it. Ha. She got it, she too snickered and looked up at him. She cocked her head, wondering what he was planning on doing with the lion cubs, nothing too vulgar she hoped. Suddenly, she heard him speak again, not to the lions this time but in her direction. She looked around, making sure that in fact, she was the one being spoken to. She grinned and looked back to the elephant graveyard from where she had come,

"Over there, everyones gone so I came here.... Hi!"

Her tail wagged faster, stirring up a little dust cloud around her paws. This is the first time she had seen another hyena for weeks. She had been living off of scraps and junk in that time and she was hungry, she could tell the adult was too. She'd stick around, maybe earn some food too....

Banzai blinked furiously, taking in what she was saying. He didn't really care about the others at the moment. He'd gotten a nice rip of flesh and Scar was overdue for the next meal he'd bring the clan. It was rather, the idea of everyone being gone, and from where? He looked up to "over there" and realized she'd come from the graveyard too... His face snapped back to view hers.

"Gone!? Wait, whaddaya mean gone!? They wouldn't leave without me, would they? Aroooo! Shenzi! Ed! This is BAD, kid, I-" He stopped himself mid-panic, eyes glaring at the pup. "Wait a minute... If you're from the graveyard, how come I ain't ever seen you there before? Eh, you're probably from some little province thingy in between... Whatever."

He gave the girl a hearty "pat on the back" with his right paw. "You stay here, kid. I'm starving. Once I get a bite to eat, we'll find your mommy. Work on your laugh while you're at it. Got it?"

He wasn't going to pretend not to have heard the cheeky leopard's comment. He dartedly looked up at him, very cross looking. It never took the hyena's humorous mind to think up a witty retort. "Oh gee, I was under the impression that rats were about as small as... You!" He leapt upwards, snapping his jaws towards Mizaku. He wasn't intending to reach him or anything, scaring him would be equally appealing.

He laughed wildly once he landed. "Don't worry kid, I'll be out of here as soon as I've landed a biiiiiiig fish..." He began stalking the small Tawili, licking his chops. Good for him she hadn't ran. He didn't want his food to go. Hoohahahahaha! This time, he haunched even more strongly, pouncing with all his might towards the animal.

Seeing that Banzai was about to pounce onto the gazelle, Oga retreated from her hiding spot and charged towards the hyena, horns lowered. She was willing to push him out of the way so the gazelle would not be hurt. "Heh, maybe this will teach that hyena a thing or two".

Ciyari is surprisingly silent as she navigates the rest of the tree - but that's probably because she's concentrating on trying not to fall. She manages to get up to a low branch, scrambling up, her claws scrabbling for purchase on the bark. For a moment, her back legs are dangling in midair, but she manages to get up, clinging onto the branch like a limpet. Ugh. She doesn't like heights. She clings more.

And finally finds her breath.

"Yah, you stinkin' scavangin' pig!" She also says another few names that would make an adult lioness gasp and probably firmly spank her for saying such things. "An' a little warhog-let, too!" She adds, glaring down towards Mafa. "Put together, y'two have brains enough to fill a leaf...maybe." She hisses, ears flattening, as Banzai moves closer to the little cheetah cub, whom Ciyari just notices. "Put one more step near her, blackguts, and I'll call my pride down on you!"

((*Waves bye to Elf.* This is what I hate about being the bad guy. Everyone is so mean to me. xd ))

Before he could reach his new prey, he was slammed to the side, rolling up and hitting a big tree trunk. Ow. Ow ow ow, ow ow ow ow. That hurt. Standing up a little wobbly, he shook himself. Rotten grazing animals... When did they suddenly get so brave? He growled, baring his teeth and began to circle the animal that had attacked him.

"So eager to save yer little friend here? That's cool. It'll cost you your life though." He snapped his jaws tightly together, opening them again to run around once more and pounce for her back.

Banzai landed smugly, thinking he'd scared her off. Bought time too. Shame he couldn't have eaten her though. Ah well. Always the other one... But his eye caught something he hadn't noticed before. A little cheetah... A little appetizer was more like it. She'd decided to run into this gazelle? Good, less running for him! This time he went for a different approach. Walking toward the tiny cub, he suddenly careened his neck towards the animal's front leg, biting at it.

((*God modes and says that they all ran away.*))

Now he was really aggravated. Sure, he'd scared a bunch of kids spitless, but he was still hungry. Walking back over to where he'd left Mafa, he looked up at Ciyari. His ears were beginning to ring. Did this girl ever shut up? "Yeah yeah yeah, your land, sure, I'm leaving. Some ruler you are... Your stomach probably growls louder than you do! Wooohahahhooo!"

His nose popped into the crack, just a little higher than Mafa was positioned. He sniffed once, making sure she was in there. "Come on out, kid. I'm not heartless enough to leave a pup alone. Not like I have anything better to do..."
