Goddess 101 thanksgiving dinner.. the after talk of my mom, stepdad, uncle, cousin and GRABDMA.. They were talking about how when they were gyoung they all used to smoke pot, and how Grandma used to do it with mom and my uncle, but she could never get high. And mom was commenting on how they used to use so much of it to try and get grandma high that they couldn't even stand or lift an arm.. It was pretty funny hearing my innocent old grandma talking about not being able to get high lol. That's so funny she would say something like that-- maybe she was high! eek whee

Mine (the only one i have left) was always a little crazy... So she COULD have been high all the time.. I don't think we would have noticed...
Once, when i was still a baby and my cousins were very young children, my grandmother was talking to my parents and my aunt and uncle.. I believe it was some sort of family function.. Thanksgiving or whatever... Anyway, as they were talking she came out with
"Oh, if the children ever go missing... don't worry.. The aliens have them... they'll give them back eventually"
eek

Haha. Crazy family rules. My uncle once called my grandmother's dog "a useless waste of fur" which was actually really funny. My uncle's this tall, large man who doesn't talk much and lives out in the middle of nowhere in BC with his family. Plus I believe it was said at my grandfather's funeral, so for some reason it was really really funny.

Hehe.. How long did you have to live with them?
My family (my mother, father and I) moved to Tennessee from Pennsylvania when i was in the 3rd grade... We pretty much left our entire family either there or in West Virgina... So it was always just us.... My father passed away about three years ago and my mother is disabled.. So i she lives with me and I take care of her. Sort of a roll reversal huh? eek
I don't mind it.. we get along rather well..

I live an hour away from my parents... sometimes it's nice to have them close by, but other times it's a bit of a hindrance.

As soon as I can, I'm moving away to Japan to teach English. 3nodding I'll keep in regular contact with my mom, sister, little brother + whatever friends I still have left.
But as for my dad and his side of the family... I'll send letters on birthdays and holidays.

It wasn't too bad at home. My parents were very possessive and controlling. They live a little over an hour away. I talk to them on the phone all the time, I just don't have much urge to see them in person. I visit every couple of months.
