She shook her head, man and she was really looking forward to a hunt too." Nope, sorry. We can just go through the forest and see what we find?" she suggested. Its was better than nothing really.

"Of course there's deer here, I sometimes see them on the edges of the jungle at night from my duplex, they're concentrated in the deep woods during the day, so we just might find one."
Thinking of what they could use to get a scent, a little lightbulb turned on in Erik's mind. "I got it! Wait right here." Dashing to his duplex, Erik grabbed something off of his desk, ran back, and presented his find to the others. Moving his arm from behind him, Erik presented what he hoped was part of a deer leg bone. "I found it in the woods a couple days a ago."

She looked at the bone and could swear that her mouth watered. She wanted so badly to chew on it but she just shook her head to clear it." I wouldn't know I have never smelled a deer before." She said with some embarrassment.

Christopher watched as Erik darted off and back to the other eagerly awaiting canine people. Grinning, Christopher looked down and shrugged at Erik but did it in a way to pride his little brother. "It's worth a shot... Everyone smell this now."
Taking in a huge whiff, Christopher really could only pick up a faint aroma. It wasn't a whole lot but better than nothing. Plus, Erik did say he had seen deer in the area. It was probably a good idea to keep Erik as close by as possible and lead the way.
He announced the plans to the newly formed pack, "Ok, listen up. Here's the plan. Erik, you stay right by me and lead the way since you have a better idea of where the deer are. Minna... Erm, Katina, stick close by and watch behind us for any possible prey or predators nearby. Now when we find a deer, here's what we'll do. You two will circle around behind it but keep your distance. I'll chase it your way and you two will surprise attack it, got it?"
Christopher held out his pawwed hand as to show that he was in for it. He glanced between the other two to see if they were game with his plan.

Panting from running, Erik sniffed the bone, and memorized the scent. Tail wagging, he licked his lips, hardly able to wait till he could sink his teeth and claws into something.
"I'm in!" sticking his pawed hand into the center.

She watched as Chris smelled the bone and smiled, then she too smelled it. She couldn't place the scent but she wanted more. She then listed to the plan closely then glared at Chris," Who's Minna?" Why did she care who she was...
She still wanted and explanation but still but her hand in,"Im in." She said but she sounded ticked off.

"Excellent!" exclaimed Christopher as he pushed their hands up in the air with his own. "Now let's go get ourselves a deer!"
Then Christopher heard Katina's question about his love interest and laughed nervously. Instead, he chose to avoid it for now. He'd tell her later.
Christopher lead the way into the woods and from there on out, let Erik have the honor while keeping him close to his side. He didn't want to see his brother get hurt. As they got deeper into the expansive forest, Chris made gestures to convey they need to move a lot more stealthy from here on out. If they wanted to catch a deer, they had to be as evasive, cautious, and alert as possible.
Scanning the area carefully with each footstep, Christopher kept himself on his toes, anxious to catch sight of something. Like the other two, he was aching to sink his fangs and claws into a fresh kill and meal. It wouldn't be long until they were all licking their chops.
Nearly an hour had passed by before a scent filled Chris's nostrils. He paused and held his hands behind him as if to tell his packmates to heel. He turned to them both and whispered, "Do you guys smell that? Erik, keep your eyes peeled."

During that hour, Erik was kept busy leading everyone in the right direction: following footprints, deer trails, etc.
Scanning carefully through the brush, Erik spotted a large tan form moving through the woods. Even though he wanted to just out and get it, he kept patient. Tapping both Chris' and Katina's shoulders, he then gently pointed towards the deer.

She was waiting for an answer but none came and he just started off into the forest."Hmph!" She growled a little to herself but then she too went off into the woods.
She paid attention to everything that crossed her but still had anger in her. She was about to ask him the question again when a scent filled her nose. It was the same one that she smelled on the bone and she inhaled it deeply. The scent gave her goose-bumps and sent a shiver down her spine. She nodded to Chris that she had indeed smelled it and she scanned the area for any trace of the animal. Then she felt Erik tap her and she looked to where he was pointing, the deer!

When Erik alerted him to the location of the deer, Christopher quickly shot his head in the direction and stared with a hunger in his eyes. He watched it attentively as he wet his lips with his tongue. Chris motioned the two of them closer to him and whispered the orders to them.
"Ok, this is just like how we planned. You two circle around so you're behind the deer. But keep your distance! ..And no suddent movements. Move as quickly but as cautiously as you can. I'll chase the deer your way and you two will jump out and double whammy it, ok?"
Christopher, acting very much as a pack leader, waved the two off into the directions they would go and squated down to the ground in order to hide himself. Once he could tell they were positioned, he nodded to himself and waited. This was the first time he had done this and he wanted to be able to savor the moment. He stayed still until the deer looked his way and they met eye to eye.
The deer's eyes widen as if looking into headlights. Christopher simply licked his lips and charged out from underneath the shrubbery, about to chase the deer in the direction of Erik and Katina.

When she was in position she stayed as silent as possible and stared at the deer, her eyes darting back to Chris every now and then. What was she doing she must stay focused on the deer at all times. When she saw the deer look at Chris and them him move she got into the charging pose, she had to be ready. She deer darted towards her and she swiped at it her claws making a small gash in its side.

After getting his instructions from Chris, Erik made his way to the spot on all fours, which was lot more comfortable.
Waiting for his que, the plan was set into motion. Jumping out at the deer, Erik let his instincts loose, sinking teeth into a leg and distinctly hearing something crack. The deer then fell over, possibly breaking or spraining another leg....leaving it completely vulnerable. Erik slowly approached the dying deer. Wanting to take the first bite, Erik's instincts made him let Chris do the honors, he was pack leader, after all.

Christopher cheered on the inside when he saw his packmates tackle and take down the deer. The next moment was very epic to Chris. It was as if time had frozen and he was moving in slow motion. This sensation felt equivilent to the 'bullet time' visual effect that made The Matrix so popular.
'Old Fred Bear! Walk with me, down the trails again! Take me back! Back where I belong. Old Fred Bear, I'm glad to have you by my side my friend. And I'll join you! In the big hunt before too long!,' the lyrics of the classic Ted Nugent song ran through Chris's mind as he lept forward, ready to sink his teeth into their prey.
Placing his pawwed hands on the deer's neck for a way of leverage, Christopher plunged his canines deep into the helpless animal's throat and ripped away at it until the deer went still. The taste of blood, as per usual, was a little disgusting to him because of the coppery taste to it but that didn't matter. It wasn't as bad as the savory taste of meat and muscle overid it for the time being. Not to mention, just the satisfaction of having is be his kill was enthralling. He pulled upward, his teeth still sunk into the thing's throat, taking with him a hunk from the deer's neck.
Chris took a moment to suckle on the tasty morsel in his mouth before he started to chew. He stood, blood caked all over his fur and clothes, and looked to the other two.
"Should we cut it up and cook it or try it raw?" he asked for their imput, a grin forming on his elongated face.

Hungry and excited, Erik let out a howl as his brother killed the deer. When Chris stood up, he ran over to the carcass, eager to sink his teeth in. Unable to wait any longer, Erik said "I'm going with raw!" and with that, he took a big bite out of the deer's abdomen, getting to the tasty muscles inside.

Christopher nodded in response to his younger brother's wishes but did advise him, "Just be careful not to ingest too much at once. This is probably your first time eating raw meat and as such, you'll probably get sick if you take in too much at once. It takes a while to build up a tolerence."
"I know because over the past year before I came here, I built up mine by slowly going from cooked steak to eating it raw. Each time I prepared a steak, I just cooked it a little less each time until I was down to a completely raw steak. Even with all that preperation, I got a little sick at first but not too bad. As for why I did this, it was to prepare myself for if I ever ended up in another situation where I was lost in the woods."
He let out a sigh and shook his head, while cracking a smile, when he saw Erik dive in and help himself anyhow. He just hoped that his brother would keep his advisory in mind. His stomach growling a little and the aroma of the kill filling his nostrils once more, Christopher got back down on all fours and was about to join Erik in the feast. But then he remembed Katina who still hadn't taken a bite.
"Are you going to join us?" he asked curiously.
